I purchased a HTC sensation in india which was running 1.28.720.2. I used the revolutionary tool and acquired s-off. I did a nandroid backup of the stock rom. But then i found out that the backup is corrupted so if i need to submit this phone for warranty, i will be in trouble. I am right now running ARHD 4.1.10 and when i tried to run a HTC RUU of 1.28.720.2, it failed. Am i doing something wrong with the RUU? Is there any other way to go back to stock ROM?
Try changing it CID to 11111111 then run ruu. You can change it super cid to Indian one later.

Kind of a noob to this so please bear with me.
I bought a new Sensation and got rid of a few bloatware. I'm now considering flashing a custom rom but want to have a back up of the original ROM. I found that it's being hosted here filefactory .com/ f/ c87a2330449af512/" but every time I try to download it, it says "All free download slots are in use.You can download this file immediately by upgrading to FileFactory Premium. Otherwise, please feel free to try again shortly. "

The website is actually launching some 6-7 months late, specifically because I didn’t want to go live until discussions with HTC were concluded.
HTC couldn’t offer formal legal approval for a number of quite understandable reasons, but a mutual agreement was eventually reached and I’m very pleased to say that HTC are fully aware of my site and the plans that I have for it.

There's no guarantee we're getting one. I don't believe any have been released for the jelly bean bases.

All ROM's include all languages for keyboard and system afaik.
You may need to use the App MoreLocale2 to force your locale

THANK YOU VERY MUCH, IT WORKS. GREATING TO YOU! Now this is as it should.
Note to OP: You really should add to the 1st post that it is not wise to flash the 3.18 firmware over super cid and s-on.. its not a good thing for most people to have a qhsb_dload turn their phone into a paper weight before finding out that they shouldn't have used that file to begin with. i had to find out the hard way. i would have flashed the ics firmware on my phone but decided to go with the big JB only to find out that it turns it into a paperweight. I understand this is no fault but my own, however this would greatly help people when choosing which ruu to run.

I can install a Telestra RUU.exe on my At&t ???
I currently have installed the original rom of att 3.18 and bootloader relock, Cid 111111 S-off
With s-off you can use any RUU as long as it's an Evita one. Why do you want the Telstra RUU though? The latest one is pretty old.

HTC dev download links only work if they are initiated directly from the htc dev page due to a certain session cookie, so accessing the links directly never works.
Besides, that link is for the encrypted RUU.

Thanks but logged into HTC Dev and clicked the download and it is still reverting to home page.
Link in HTC Dev is now working.

I have an international version device (s-off) so I assume that if I modify the info text to my device mid and cid I can run this RUU using fastboot. Is that correct?
If I did install this on an international one, would I have any problems other than network settings?

You'll loose wifi calling. an RUU can be either. EXE is for people who dont want to run commands. You can just follow the direction in the OP and its the same thing as running the exe.

If you dont have an account you will need to create one. Then you log go to downloads and download the RUU.

HTC doesn't allow direct linking so even if I give you the link it wont work.

Yes. It'll work fine. It is NOT a flashable zip though. Look up how to flash firmware zips. Again, do NOT flash in recovery.

Ok.. If i install it on my T-mobile htc one with s-off ,it will convert it into developer edition with android 4.3 and latest radio.. Right ??
And what's difference between this exe RUU and the custom RUU zip that's uploaded in this thread?

Is your device the international HTC one?
If yes, did you use the RUU.exe or the RUU.zip and did you have to alter your mid to run it or did you have to adjust the android-info.txt in the RUU.zip?

And yes, my phone shall be the guniea pig if my findings bring confidence. If so, it may in some ways be possible to use these other variants - with modifications of course lol.

Yes you can change it. Its rather easy to do. However, in regards to the RUU, given the specifications of our K2 variants it is recommended to use the proper RUU. Its not as diverse as seen with the HTC One devices. Though, may be useful in partial to the K2_U and K2_UL devices. However, with K2_CL and K2_PLC_CL, you will want to use them as designed with reference to Boost and Cricket or else you may have issue's.

Yes, thats what I am thinking also. Just the mid and cid, you cant crossfirmware from k2_u to k2_ul or k2_ul to k2_cl or any regarding to k2 versions. I just noticed in my current firmware(k2_ul htc asia wwe cid__044) it can be installed on two different mid. I cant remember what are those since i am currently away from my pc but i am sure that there two..
The mid specified in the ruu of k2_ul europe and the other one mid of my firmware is identical. So it might be using the same hardware i think. Same K2_ul and mid. And so this question comes to my mind.
Anyways. Ill try it some other time when there is already a kitkat update for our device via ota.
Some info for you: asian k2ul contains a different radio.img than european (and maybe more?), so i don't know if its a good idea to do that!

Don't know what it stands for, but it is not specially country related. There are also k2u in asia.
K2u is non-lte, k2ul is lte.
