Flashlight and Calculator Apps - One (M8) Themes and Apps

I'm posting here both apps taken from a freshly ruu'ed T-Mobile HTC M8
As some of you know these are user apps so if for some reason you factory reset or wipe data, These will be gone.
I looked for these around and downloaded some but never found the real ones for the M8. Only the M7 which don't look the same. I guess it's because the softkeys...
Also. Posted them here in the general section so maybe all M8 users will see it...

Missing google apps after rooting nexus

Im looking for some help because between multiple old videos and links for all the files to root my nexus one ive managed to root it but lost the stock apps. Im missing maps, android market and a few others and cant find anything on getting them back or unrooting it and trying again. Everything thats on the phone works but whats a nexus one without all the google apps.
So in short my question is, is there a way to get the apps back? Or a way to unroot it and do it right?
I used this .zip to add the google apps back on.
It wont let me post a link to it because i am a new user of the forums.
I got it off of cyanogens forum for nexus one roms.
Sorry to tell you this but we all know that there is an add on for google apps with cyanogen roms (both g1/mt3g and the n1). Well at least you solved your problems.
I cant find the google add ons!!!! The cyan forum is down!!! Somebody help!!

Migrating phones

Hi Guy,
Im just shifting from the HTC Radar to the Titan. Both have 7.5 and are very similar in every way.
Is there any way to migrate all your apps INC data and preferably have it setup the same way from 1 phone to the other? Something like titanium backup for android is what I'm looking for.
Thanks in advance.
I'm curious also.... as i may be upgrading to a titan from a surround. I know if you hard reset, all your apps come back (slowly but they do) but saved games and such did not.
I ended up installing all apps manually. A pain but guess there's no other choice.

All SMS apps Full Closing on OpenSensation Nightlies

Hey, I've done a fair whack of searching and unfortunately even though I've done a lot of lurking and reading, I do not have permission to post in the developers forum. Supposedly I need 10 posts before I'm able to post inane drivel to spam up the threads.
Annnnnyway, I've had a crack with a few of the more popular SMS apps, along side the native Messaging app, and all of them crash immediately on launch. The exception is Go SMS Pro, which is unable to detect any SMSes or even send any SMSes.
I've no clue how or why this is, I've cleared both my normal and Dalvik cache, the MMS.APK is in place in /system/app/ folder, the permissions are correct, I've tried clearing the data, and I think short of a full wipe and install, unless someone can point me in the right direction, I've tried most things a reasonable person would think of. Granted, I'm not knee deep in Android development like a few of the people who lurk around here, so I could be mistaken.
I'm running a standard HTC Sensation with a slightly out of date version of the default 1.5GHz kernel included with Android Revolution HD, although I am planning on flashing the latest TamCore to see if that will clear it up (though I doubt it). Currently I have OpenSensation-20120809-NIGHTLY.zip installed, but I'm downloading OpenSensation-20120810-NIGHTLY.zip as well in hopes that maybe it's a bug in this nightly that is resolved in the newer one, although I doubt that.
Anyway, any help is much appreciated.
Cheers.

Might be an issue with OpenSensation (as you're using nightlies). Back up what you have, format everything but SD card, and I'd recommend trying a completely different non-nightly ROM, try AOKP m6. This way you can see if the SMS issue is related to OpenSensation or not. backup m6 THEN try the newest OpenSensation nightly to see if the issue is fixed. This way you'll likely be left with at least one ROM you can restore with working SMS functionality.
I might yet have to do that, although I would prefer to stay as close to vanilla as possible, that's why OpenSensation interested me - I think I'll try regressing to the CM9 RC2 on the official Cyanogen mod website first, then try other projects after that if that doesn't work. Does seem strange that no one else is complaining of this issues though, and I really can't see myself being the only one running the latest versions.
Oh yeah, the newest nightly and Tamcore kernel didn't work - the only thing that's changed is now I know I can't regress directly to my ARHD backup, yay!
This one's a bit of a thinker.
Well, I did a full wipe, installed the latest HyperSensation CM9 build and reinstalled the TamCore Kernel. Everything seems to be working now.
Thanks for the input, thread can be closed.

HTC One X - problems downloading additonal HTC skins

Hi, I'm a new poster to this forum but have always found answers to past problems on existing threads. Can't seem to find a solution to this one so am hoping to make use of all the expertise out there... Help!
I have been a fan of android and HTC since I got my first smartphone; a Desire S. I love the way you can completely customise your phone and don't have to be an Apple sheep! I haven't got as far as rooting my phone as I'm not that tech-savvy and would hope for a solution to this problem that doesn't involve this.
Basically the problem is: I got stuck with a One X that had the WiFi connectivity hardware problem so the retailer has just replaced the phone with a new one. I've spent all day setting up the new One X with all my old settings/apps etc and tried to download the Purple Passion skin. I go to settings... Personalise... skins... Get more... It thinks for a minute and then tells me 'no content to display. Please refresh'.
Things I have tried: Downloaded all updates so now running Sense 4.1. Removed and re-added HTC sense account. Synced HTC sense account. Found the Purple Passion apk file on a thread here somewhere, downloaded this, installed it, doesn't appear in skin picker. I have rebooted most times after all these attempts. I have tried several different sources of the apk file. ARGH
I am really sick of my phone looking so boring in various shades of grey and chrome and want it back in purple so please help!
Thank you
I am also having the same issue. So any help would be appreciated.
I don't think its a rare thing:
On my phone can see the skins, but cannot download
On my Dad's it is the same.
On my girlfriends phone, she cant even get to see the skins, it says that there is no content to be displayed
(These are all European Quad Core versions with 32GB, Sense 4.1, Android 4.0.4, o2-UK)
I've managed to get it working on my phone and my girlfriends.
Have not tried on my Dads yet.
Go to settings.
Accounts and Sync.
Add a HTC account make sure you use a @gmail email address.
If you already have one. Delete it. Restart. Add it back.
Restart the phone. (Not power off).
Turn WiFi off. (Don't know if this actually had anything to do with it)
Go to the HTC hub app. Try and download a Skin.
Fixed
It's working fine for me now. I rang HTC and the person I spoke to was about as helpful as a chocolate fireguard. After telling me lots of things I'd already tried she eventually actually looked into it properly with her superviser and told me 'HTC hub is offline at the moment, we don't know why'.
Probably something to do with the new phone release.

A few Lollipop questions

Hello all. I have a few questions since flashing the Lollipop factory images.
1. I heard that Lollipop would see a new messenger, and that it would be the default upon installation, but do not see it. Is it supposed to be a stand alone app, or installed as part of the factory image?
2. I've noticed that my recent apps persist after a reboot. Maybe it did this on KitKat and I didn't notice, but I'm thinking it didn't. Do everyone's recents persist, even after a reboot?
3. I've heard about ambient display, but cannot find settings for it anywhere. Is this something specific to the Nexus 6, or Lollipop?
4. I've also heard about Lollipop bringing back the possibility of moving apps to the SD card, but also cannot find out how to do this. I don't need it myself, but have a friend with a need to do so.
Thanks. Best community on the net.

1. The messenger app is in the Play Store
2. I have noticed this too. Not a big deal
3. It doesn't come with the Nexus 5 update. That feature is for AMOLED displays only
4. Haven't really looked into this since we don't have an SD card. But yeah, they added SD card support. Don't really know much about what it is for though.

1. it got released yesterday, check the play store for it.
2. its how its supposed to work now.
3. its for samoled screens, we have an lcd screen.
4. your apps are already on sd. they get stored in your main storage automatically. its been this way since a long time ago.
Thanks guys! Oh, and one more question for now: Any way to get rid of the profiles icon in the notification area?
Edit: already another question! Is there no gallery app other than G+ Photos that comes with Lollipop?
What's about double tap to wake? Shouldn't this feature come with the update?

I don't believe there is a way to remove the profile picture. And Photos is the default gallery app. You can download any other one from the Play Store though

No. I don't even think the Nexus 6 has this. Only the Nexus 9
