Hello all, i've tryied all day to root my "HTC Desire S" because i from lithuania and i got "Limited Service" i need to change my rom. I watched tons of toturials but revolutionary didint supporting HBOOT 2.000.002. Who can help me? Ty alot .

if my phone wont accept my sim card so root and installing new rom it will work or no ?
Do u mean is your phone locked to a sim and after a custom rom you can put any sim in?

No .. now it are orginal stock .. ant Hboot 2.000.002 and i cant root my phone .. yesterday tryed to make it with HTCdev .. but i didint understanding ... Who can help me with it ? I'll give TeamViewer or skype.

Follow that tutorial the link provided by jmcclue. You have to unlock boatloads first using HTC dev.

Dont think u can, flashing custom rom wont do nothing either. Either pay a shop or buy a motherboard.

By imei block do you mean you are locked to a specific phone carrier like virgin, o2, orange, that sort of thing
or do you imei block as in the phone has been reported stolen/unpaid for and wont work on any network, local or otherwise?

Just showing on all network cards: Limited Service . And when i try insert new sim card i didint get Network code field. And now i trying unlock bootloader .. but i stucked at "Waiting for device" My PC OS: Windows 8.1

Ur problem is windows 8. Its a known nightmare for getting fastboot to work on it. So ur options are, search for how to get fastboot to work on windows 8 or if u can get ur hands on a pc with vista/win 7, if u can then ul be done in 20 mins.

i renistalled my windows. And now i stuck on custom rom installing ... i didint made s-off .. and now i dont have backup and now software is broken, i dont know what to do

Need more info. What do u mean stuck on rom installing? Do u have recovery? If yes then boot phone into recovery, full wipe, then reinstall the rom, once its finished installing, do NOT reboot. Boot ur phone straight into fastboot mode, plug into pc and flash the boot.img thats inside the rom zip. The command to flash the boot.img from fastboot is
fastboot flash boot boot.img
Then reboot ur phone.

i also need this .. type info .. cause RUU gives me signature error or sumthng ... n have to flash thorugh fastboot but the bootloader says: RE-LOCKED .. ;(

Even if you go back to stock with RUU, you cant claim warranty! Because now the bootloader will show relocked instead of locked!
SO there is no way to get the "LOCKED" status back once you unlock the boot-loader ?
and i also read somewhere that using htcdev to unlock bootloader gives them our IMEI and so, they know about our device even if we reset it and htc can cause us not to have warranty or so and we can't give any stupid reasons to the service centers to believe we did nothing wrong.

I think u should go to shop where u bought it he will repair it without asking...my brother had a samsung s plus rooted with cm10.1 but he got to know the camera is not working he gave it to the shop and the shopkeeper restored it to stock without taking any money...

You can read VERY carefully the s-off thread, somewhere there was .img , that you can flash and it will show locked, but also it will stuck on hboot screen, so it's up to you.
Hi everyone.
I don't know if its even possible but need to create the SIM CARRIER LOCK again.
When i unlock the bootloader i "erase" the sim carrier lock (guess happen to everyone) and that is awesome but know i need my phone to be carrier lock again.
Don't need that to be forever, i like it unlocked . If that is a way to fake it it's ok but need to be hidden and need to persist after reboot.
I know it's strange but i really need it... I already flash my nandroid backup from the stock rom, flash a stock recovery and lock the bootloader, still unlocked!
Anyone knows how to do it?

By Sim carrier lock, do you want to relock your boot loader or do you want to restrict your phone to using the same Sim as it came with?

Well there is a way but idk if its works use J-Tag or Riff-Box it will make your phone fully as it was came in the box. My friend used it on his HTC Wildfire S and he made the phone back to factory defaults i mean the bootloader, the software it was fully restored and the Sim Branding was also restoted!

I was using SpeedMod but i had to travel and my phone network does not work here in turkey until i UNLOCK SIM NETWORK
I had my phone unlocked and the man who did it told me that i'm not able to update my software anymore or the phone network will be locked again
the software he flashed through odin does not support Arabic language .. and I had to flash new ROM supporting Arabic
Am i able to do ? or the phone network will be locked again ?

Please create an backup of your Rom using CWM and then you can try to update/flash your phone.. If your phone is locked again, put your backup back in and search for an patch for multilanguage with arabic support..

NO, the phone will NEVER be locked again
SIM LOCK is more like a hardware based security, not software.
you can flash stock safe

BTW, its possible the phone can be lock again only if he unlocked the sim via root exploit
if he used an IMEI calculator, yes it is ok

when i got back my phone .. it was not rooted .. so we didn't unlock the sim network using root exploit ? right ?
btw i don't know what is root exploit
anyway .. i can do a backup and flash any rom i want then if the sim locked i restore my backups .. right ??

at this point, your phone is not unlocked via root exploit
so you can do whatever you want, it will not lock
and the unlock being part of hardware, it will never lock back unless you want it to happen

he could do this on kk risking to not work and losing the money
maybe he thinks the code resets the bootloader which happens on devices such as htc
but i have here a clear example:
if you use the yellow triangle away app from chainfire and you flash another rom, does the yellow triangle appears again?
i guess you know what is triangle away, search it on google if you dont
and the triangle thing is a hardware code, so is the sim lock

Hi I have a HTC one SV (K2_UL) locked to Vodafone UK and I was unlocking the bootloader and it did not boot after I did it, all the computer recognizes it as is QHSUSB_DLOAD and I need the unbrick files for this phone ASAP!

Ah okay well it was worth trying
my phone wifi and imei suddenly stopped working,
things I've tried so far and still no wifi, imei and baseband
device unlocked htcdev
all RUU stock rom downgrading 9,8,7 + custom rom
tried flashing imei with diag mode using WriteDualIMEI(W+G_eMMC) shows its done but no imei at all
do someone has the working qcn backup for dual sim ? please

meh, Xtc powerclip hardware is required , I dont wanna buy 150$ for only one usage no guarantee it will work on my device and idk if the culprit on my end is damaged IC, that would be a waste
