Hi,
I'm using CyanogenMod 11 on my OnePlus One and I'm using WhisperPush for encrypted messaging to other WhisperPush and Textsecure devices.
Everything seems to work nice. But my colleague, who is using Textsecure, told me, that sometimes he only can send me encrypted textsecure messages over SMS. Actually, it should be send over internet between these devices. On my smartphone, using the integrated sms app, I can't see if the message were sent over internet or over sms. I only get the blue send button (at testecure means a blue button: over sms, green button: over internet). How can I find out, if it's really sent over internet?
Hope you can help me, thanks
bye

Hey there, I hope you're doing great!
I'm creating this thread because I was wondering if the issue I am about to describe is a known bug or if it only happens with me.
The problem I am experiencing is sporadic, as I cannot determinate a specific cause for it; it sometimes happen right after reboot, and sometimes after long usage, after a call, simple idling, etc.
Of course the issue is that when I receive an SMS message from a contact, I see it pop-up at the top as a notification, but when I want to see it in the threaded conversation, it is simply not there. I can continue texting, and they continue receiving my messages properly, as do I... only by looking at the top status bar though, because other than that, the threaded conversation remains the same during the whole exchange.
My phone is not rooted, it is a brand new LG-P999 from Videotron (They call it the LG Optimus 2X here!) and it runs Froyo 2.2.2!
Thank you very much for your help, and of course, excuse me if this issue has already been looked into! Otherwise, have an awesome day!
Is it possible you are using a third-party text app? I ask because I mainly use Google Voice for my texts, but every now and then someone will text my phone number, which of course means it goes to the phone's message app. As you mentioned, you get the notification and can respond just fine. However, if I don't pay attention, and go to my Voice messages, their messages will not appear, and I have to switch to the built-in message app to see their conversations.

Thanks for your reply, but I am actually using the stock SMS app!
Hmph, started looking into the "Messages" app settings and found something called "Text messages on SIM card" and found all the messages I was "missing".
What causes this?! =O
*EDIT*
I looked on the Internet a bit but found nothing pertaining to the LG-P999/G2X. I, however, found information on the matter saying that this is usually caused by reaching the maximum capacity of SMS messages in your phone. I have about 120 messages all in all, which is certainly a very small number! I also have about 4.50GB of free space on my phone!
Thanks for the help!
This is a known issue from LG... Call the tech support and open a ticket.
Voicemail notif is causing this issue... default storage is change to simcard by the OS...

Thanks a lot, it is definitely a relief to know that this is a known bug. Do you know how we can change the default storage of the voice mail, or I need to root?
Thanks!
I just wanted to add that I successfully found a permanent workaround to this problem by installing GoSMS Pro! No more "disappearing" text messages

Hey guys,
I'm wondering if it's possible to send multiple texts/group texts on 7.5 MANGO.
It's for the Samsung Focus.
I did some thread searching and they were all old (WP7). Every time I try the group text/multiple text, it responds with "Can't send"
I was just wondering if anyone has found a fix for this, aside from using the Bulk SMS app.
Thanks!
The count is limited to 10. How many did you add ?
the same, i can not send sms to 2 people on hd 7
In the Messaging settings, turn off 'Group text' and then try.
It worked for me.
With Group text ON, it considers the text messages as MMS, and fails to send.
Here is a silly question but if you send 10 SMS or MMS messages, do you get charged for 10 by your provider of do they all count as one?
Each msg is sent seperately so charges are for each sms

it did work...thanks
I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum.
I have GO SMS PRO and sent a MMS that I would have expected a reply to but didn't get one. When I look at the message (which details says was sent) there's a little flashing green arrow by it. I can't find what that means in the Help. I was on wifi when I sent it and wonder if that's a problem? I've been on 4G since then.
I have a DROID RAZR and am on Verizon if that matters. Thanks.
Usually GO SMS isn't good with sending MMS over wifi. That flashing arrow means its "trying" to send. Just go back on 3G/4G and send it again. It should work.

Thank you. That helps. I don't know why it can't send over wifi but knowing that's the problem I can easily switch back when sending MMS.
Thanks again.
No problem!!!!

How to use wifi setting?
How do I send messages via wifi opposed to using my 2G/4G phone service? I can't figure out how to change the settings!

It doesn't look like you can send multimedia or MMS messages using wifi. If you want to send pictures or other multimedia you will need to be on your "G" service. For text, or SMS, you can use either wifi or your "G".
If you want to toggle wifi and data on and off, you will want to use a widget. There are a number of them at the Market, such as Data Enabler and Wifi Toggle.
You may already have some on your phone. Long press on your home screen, choose Widget, and see if you have a toggle that will work.
Depending on the phone, GoSMS will have problems sending MMS through wifi. For awhile the HTC Evo wouldn't send MMS via wifi. I went back to GoSMS after they fixed that little issue. Email the developers of GoSMS.
So if I get a widget and turn wifi on, I will be able to send texts on Go SMS via wifi instead of my actual phone service plan?

XDA user Koush has found a solution to using google voice with any messaging app. Here are the steps to take
Beta 2: Google Voice through any messaging app
0) Google Voice must be installed with notifications enabled (for now).
1) Install a recent +CyanogenMod nightly. July 1st or later. You need the SMS middleware patches I put in for PushSMS. (see Gerrit)
2) Push this apk to /system/app: http://download.clockworkmod.com/test/babel-2-signed.apk adb install will not work. The app requires system/signature permissions.
4) Start Babel, choose your Google Voice account. Authorize it.
Fixed since original release:
* Registers with AccessibilityService automatically.
* SMS sent via GV website, etc now sync to the stock messaging store.
* If you're running a +CyanogenMod build from last night, the duplicate GV notifications will be cleared.

What are the chances of getting this to work without using a CM ROM? I use a TW-based ROM on my Galaxy Note 2, and since I am on Sprint, I have completed the Google Voice integration. I sometimes reply to texts using the web interface from my PC, and I'd love to be able to sync my conversations so they appear on my phone as well. I would also love to be able to use Textra or a similar messaging app instead of the boring official Google Voice app. However, since GV doesn't support MMS, could it work so that MMS is sent using the carrier messaging infrastructure?

Voice+ Delayed & Multiple same messages
Anyone having Voice+ delay your messages? Sometimes text messages will come through right away, but most of the time it will take several hours or a reboot to get the messages to retrieve. When it does retrieve them, my phone blows up with messages because I get each message about 4 times. I'm curious if anyone else is experiencing this. It's been hard to find any info since I've been unable to find anyone talking about issues with it.

This does happen to me as well. I haven't found any way to reproduce the issue on demand; it seems completely random whether I receive the messages right away or if there's a delay.
Me too. Today I tried emptying my Google Voice inbox, clearing data for the Google Voice, Voice +, Messaging apps.
Still have problems having messages delivered properly.
I am on the 10/9 nightly 10.2 build.

It started doing this for me as well. I've noticed that I receive messages only if I send one out, and also everything I receive is double. I do get it only once on Google Voice.. If I'm looking at my phone when I receive a text, I see the Google Voice notification, and it never makes it over to the SMS app, until I send an SMS out, then I see the messages.
Same here. Also, sometimes txts will not send from stock (stuck at "sending"), but messages sent from GV app go out instantly.

I'm running Vanir and it appears to be working fine. The only problem is SMS received appears to be coming from a random phone # and not the number it was sent to me from. Anyone else?

Me too. Sucks very hard. Anyone have a fix or reference to a tracking thread??
I just got this phone a few days and ago and it's working great except for one issue. I use apps like MightyText/Pushbullet/MySMS to send texts from my PC. These apps all worked fine on my last phone but not on the Honor 6X. I verified that the messages go out and the other person receives the text I send (and all of the apps say that the message has been sent), but the outgoing message does not show up in the conversation thread in my messages app. I've looked in both the stock app as well as my preferred app (Textra) but they aren't there.
At first I thought it was an issue with MySMS (my primary remote SMS app) but I installed and tried MightyText and Pushbullet as well, and all of them send the message successfully but none have the outgoing SMS show up, so I'm thinking this is an issue with phone. Not sure if it has anything to do with it being a dual Sim.
Does anyone know what's going on?
FWIW, I've kinda solved my own problem. Looks like messages will only show up as sent messages if they are sent through the default SMS application. I set MySMS to be the default SMS app and now outgoing messages are showing up. This isn't ideal because I prefer Textra, but I found an SMS app called Pulse that does the same thing and I like the SMS app more than MySMS. It's cheaper than the other options too. It's not a perfect solution but it will work for now.
Still not sure why this is an issue with the Honor 6X and not my last phone (Moto G4 Plus)
