Custom Boatloader Logo please help - General Questions and Answers

Hey guy I have a phone store most of my work is installing new firmware to my customers most of the phones are Samsung and Sony and I want to add a custom logo to the firmware just after or before the stock logo is that possible like somehow i put it while flashing the rom or I must get root and download an application for that I mean I want it ready with the firmware I hope you get me :d thanks

Yeah that's possible, before the animation a logo is displayed. This is called a Splash Screen.
Read up info on Android Splash screens and how to apply them to a device.
Many info out there

You can't put it into a stock firmware. You can put it into a custom firmware.

Hello,
I was trying to just un-lock boot-loader. I used the sony site for getting the key. I followed the same process and got a OKAY message as well.
But when I tried to boot the phone, It got stcuk after displaying the xperia logo. It stuck and displaying the colour animation and not going further.
How can I make the phone re-usable?

What is the effect of Flashing? I downloaded the ROM, the file Flashtool is getting blocked as if some virus. Is that file good? And I don't want to delete my data. What way I can atleast copy it? I have just done the unlock bootloader process using sony official website and still I am not able to boot. Is there any way that will protect the Same OS( Sony original ) version on the phone?

You should have gained some more knowledge BEFORE unlocking your bootloader.
Your phone is in Bootloop now. And unfortunately, you can't have your data back. There's absolutely NO way that you can have the original sony firmware (the one in Bootloop). All you can do is flash the new firmware using flashtool. The file is absolutely safe. Feel free to use it. Carefully carry out all the instructions mentioned in the guide.
And do one thing. Uncheck WIPE DATA in flashtool when you select the firmware. This may save your data
All the best.
Hit thanks if it helped

All I did that I used the flashtool to relock the phone and used sony SUS software did the rest thing. I had the app back-up, So restored it. All important files I used to keep on SD Card, which is safe.

[Q] Not able to repair brick on m2 2302

Hi everybody!
I'm rather new here and I need help.
I think I soft bricked my device. After getting my unlock code from Sony, I unlocked it via adb. So far so good. After that I installed CWM and a zip. After that I couldn't boot my phone. I've tried everything. Used Flashtool to flash a firmware for my model to make it work again. Unfortunately, after the flashing was done, I ha got another issue. The Sony logo just pops up, goes out, pops up and so on... No I can't access even recovery mode anymore, even though I have a unlocked bootloader...
Can you guys please help me? I'm just 13 and my parents aren't really happy about what I did to my new fancy phone.
I appreciate it, thanks.

But thanks for your effort.
You could try flashing a KK ftf (18.3.xxxx) instead of JB (18.0.xxxx). Either download one from the index thread or download yourself using xperifirm and pack it with flashtool.
Thanks! I'll give it a try

You flashed a ROM for a different tablet or phone on your tablet?
No. I've just used a ROM downloaded from sammobile prepared for P5100.
I read that it may be caused by damaged kernel...
Samsung was not able to handle this case - they advised me that I have to contact the offical techincal support.

What is the model number of your tablet? It can be found stamped on the back of the tablet.
As I have already mentioned it is GT-P5100

Sorry about that. I thought you were saying you flashed a P5100 ROM, but it wasn't clear if that is your model number. You are saying you have a white screen during booting. Do you mean that it shows a white screen and does not boot or that it does boot, but with a white screen instead of the regular animation?
Can you still boot into download mode? Or recovery?
It means that my Galaxy Tab is starting normally but with white screen. The same situation has place when I try to boot it in recovery or download mode.
So, I can't see anything on the screen even in recovery or download.

Starting normally meaning you can get into the system and use applications? Or you think it starts, but cannot tell due to a white screen?
Based on the sounds which were place during the booting the device (before configuring the device) I know that the tablet is turned on properly.
Accordingly, the device is working but I can't see anything on the screen because it is still white. I suppose that it is caused by the CM.

Assuming that you can get it into download mode, you could try flashing stock through Odin again. Idk if it will help. Standard disclaimers apply.
jrc2
So....
I have tried to do these steps numerous times. Unfortunately it is not working on my device. Today I found info that I can try to flash my tab with PIT file.

Be VERY careful when messing with PIT files and repartitioning. I would recommend using Heimdall to do this, rather than Odin. I have seen numerous people brick when attempting this.

But the most important thing is question that if the PIT file would solve my problem ?

Boot logo or boot splash screen is a part of kernel. it is in kernel.sin.
if you meant bootanimation by that, then it can be found in system>media>bootanimation.zip

Unfortunately I had submitted my Z3 to service center due to some battery issues. I well get back to you as soon as I get my phone back. One more thing is that you can change boot logo only by changing the kernel. if you flash stock kernel you will get what you are searching. but stock kernel is not compatible with custom roms!!!.

You're right dude sorry, i got confused. Can't find it in root folders anyway, it could be included in oeminfo file... Try to give a look in this thread, part VII of the appendix https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-7/general/guide-beginners-how-to-root-update-fix-t3255452 maybe it could help.

Nothing hard to do. Mark the thread as "solved" when you'll have some time to do that so
