Signal problems

I bought my mom a Moto G. The problem is, that once the phone gets out of signal, it won't connect any more the the service provider until I reboot the phone. I tried it with 4.3 and with 4.4, but it didn't changed anything.
Should I try to flash a different RADIO?
I'm from Europe and I use a German version of the phone.

did you solve that? i'm with the same problem.

Could you tell us if your IMEI is equal to zero?

[Q] No more 4G/LTE network

Hello,
I've an issue with my nexus 5 since i've installed Android 5.0 Lollipop ( Manual ) and then i've received the update OTA for 5.0.1 but i still not get 4G/LTE. My 4g works with another phone but it doesn't with the nexus 5.
I don't know if it can help but when i've installed lollipop , i had this message :
Package expects build fingerprint of google/hammerhead/... etc

Hi,
a) 4g works with the same sim card on another phone (rules out sim card problems)
b) have you enabled 4G in Settings > More > Mobile Networks (i think)?
c) "Package expects build fingerprint of google/hammerhead/... etc" - "etc"? putting this here was useless. either provide us with full error logs or don't at all.

b) I did it but same issue Preferred network type is on 4G and the APN set up well.
c) i don't have the full log error , i had it when i was installing lollipop but i don't have it anymore ; sorry

Did you ever figure this out? I am in the same boat as well. I manually flashed 5.0 and then got the 5.0.1 ota and somehow lost LTE. I have since clean wipe/ factory rest my phone then manually reflashed 5.0.1 and I still have no LTE. I cant figure it out.

[Q] Weird Issues on official Motorola 5.0.2 (brazilian)

Hello guys,
Well I have the most indescifrable issue with my Moto g (xt1032).
It was aquired with kitkat, the day 5.0.1 GPE was released I installed it, making it a xt1033 GPE.
When Motorola´s 5.0.2 was released (brazilian) I downgraded to 4.4.4, and went ahead and installed moto´s 5.0.2 for the camera..
The next day, all was going ok, wifi, gps, moblie data etc.. not a single issue.... I had made calls, sent sms, etc... but around 12:00m (lunchtime) I saw "emergency callls only".... (I have not cutted the sim card to fit in the phone).
At that time, I swapped sims, (I´m on Claro colombia, I put a Virgin Mobile Sim..) and it worked again. I could call, send messages and stuff.
But yesterday That Virgin mobile sim stopped working, Now I face the following notification: Selected network (Claro) Unavailable.
I also get another notification about Resticted mode changed.
and yet another notification that says my sim card cannot be used to register on said network.
And another notification that says cannot send mms without registering something.
And another notiication about Voice service disabled...
this is driving me crazy....
The first thing I thought was of factory resetting the phone, to no luck, as my phone gets stuck at the red exclamation android and never goes to recovery.
I tried to install Phillz recovery but I get fastboot errors.
My phone is rooted btw, bootloader unlocked.
Is this my fault? as in I did a massive screw-up, or is it the software or is it a change on the provider´s end? I dont know.
What would you recommend doing at this point?
I have entered test mode and selected GSM only, but no luck.
Please, please shine a light on me, searching for no service and specific notification content only guides me to kit kat issues, which I really don't know are applicable to lollipop.

Flash the full XT1033 BR firmware by downloading the following mirror:

I had the same issue (I'm also on Claro Colombia). All you need to do is flash the official Motorola Lollipop 5.0.2 and it'll be working fine.

Did as stated, but no luck. no network for me.
Gps, wifi and bluetooth are working fine though.

Hi guys. I am from Romania(Vodafone-unlocked device). This week,on monday I installed France 5.1.1 on my S6. I have a problem with my 3g/4g connections, my phone only connects to 2g. I tried switchng network modes,rebooting,airplane mode,everything,but it still won't connect

Hi guys i have the same trouble!only 2 g work!The other mode block totally the signals !I have french rom and i was in 5.0.2 AOE3 rom and i update to 5.1.1 but dont work!Someone can help please?

AT&T LG G3 D850 - just updated to stock MM 6.0 in India

Hello All,
I would like to share my experience & difficulty during MM upgrade of my device.
I am in India and used active AT&T SIM for upgrade.
I used following steps,
1) I was on stock KK 4.4.2
2) put AT&T SIM, and started the phone (I got this SIM from my friend who came from US)
3) disable data as it could cause data charges for the SIM
4) connected to WiFi
5) checked for software upgrade
6) immediately it showed up an upgrade
7) I started upgrade using WiFi, but immediately disconnected battery and removed the SIM (because this was not my SIM and I cannot hold it during upgrade as the download will take several hours)
8) I started my phone without SIM, and continued the upgrade
9) it took 2 hours to download (700 MB) at my home broadband with 1mbps
10) the upgrade was to Android 5.0.1 software version D85021f
11) but, after the upgrade I changed the system date to check for upgrade again
12) and, luckily it showed upgrade which was just 32 MB to update software version to D85021q
13) again, date change and this time another 700 MB upgrade
14) again it took 2-3 hours to download and 1 hour of upgrade to MM 6.0
15) again, date change, but no upgrade
16) Now, reset the date, inserted my SIM card.
one strange thing, happened after every restart of the phone. It was asking to update google play services, which I had to do.
Finally, I was able to upgrade my LG G3 D850 to Android Marshmallow. And, I know this would be last ever update from AT&T for this device.
Please let me know for any queries. Thanks.

It does show 4G which mean 3G network and when it shows 4G(LTE) - mobile is on 4G network

I never had this problem.
I used this phone in US as well as in India since Sep 2014; never got any network related issues with Stock ROM.

I kept my phone without SIM till all software upgrades completed.

Also if you can get a hold of a H2O prepaid sim as well it will update, Might be easier to get ahold of in India over an AT&T one.

that's tricky, not sure if that will work for upgrade.

I checked and found out he didn't activate international roaming. He didn't use that SIM in India, only gave me to try software upgrade.

yes you can use a go phone sim as its AT&T

1. I am also using lg g3 d850 at&t unlocked piece. Will the same procedure work on all mobiles. One of my friend will be comimg this week from Us. I will try with his att sim.
2. What do u mean by date change...when u explained the procedure?

the procedure will surely work.
There would be around 4 to 5 updates, and to get each update, you should increase mobile's date by 1 day so that system runs software update check.

Dear Tanay,
I was wondering about the bootloader apps. Will those annoying bootloader aps also appear after updating to MM according to your procedure...? Coz i really wish they were gone...!
