Recovery: TWRP
Already rooted.
1. Download and extract the file.
2. Just copy TWRP folder to your sd card. do not rename or modify any file or folder.
3. Reboot to TWRP recovery
4. 1st back up your current rom. Just in case.
5. Wipe everything except external sd card.
6. restore this back up and reboot.
Your phone will have pre rooted stock ROM. It will be like turning the phone for 1st time.
You can always unroot the phone.
Download: Karbonn Sparkle V

This is a stock ROM backup, But use it when you need it. As you are using stock ROM already, so this will not be of your use if your phone is not bricked or anything unsual happened.

Good
Hello friends!
Finally I was able to root Alcatel OneTouch Flash 6042D :good:
I've also created TWRP for this device using TWRP Easy Magic Installer. Thanks to all the guys who are involved in creating such an amazing tool. All the credit goes to them.
I've installed this recovery and flashed few zips using it and it works fine. Need to test it more.
Flashing steps:
0. Backup your phone using MTK Droid tools
1. Download the attached recovery.img file
2. Install using SP Flash tool (make sure you are rooted, if you are not rooted- refer this thread for rooting 6042d)
Note:
I or xda will not be responsible for any damage done to your phone.
In case you have any questions/ queries/ doubts post them here :highfive:
hey can you please re-post the thread for rooting the same. My browser won't load that page for some reason. Thanks.
oh yes

If the 70mb update filed is saved on your phone you can unzip it and find boot.img and flash it...

you cannot directly put it in the TWRP folder.
Try this
In TWRP folder make BACKUPS folder
Then inside that folder make another new folder name CC4CKYC04099
Inside that folder make another folder named 2015-03-28--10-42-44 KTU84P release-keys
THen inside this folder put all the extracted files
Then go in TWRP. It shld work now....

TWRP backup for 5.1 system and boot to run it on N910H
rom based on N910CXXU1COH4
Installation
1- extract the file and copy the extracted file to TWRP folder in internal storage
2- reboot into recovery
3- make a full wipe ( dalvik , data & system)
4- go to restore option
5- select backup file and swipe to restore
6- reboot and enjoy ! ^__^
Download Link
*IMPORTANT NOTES
1- for people who their TWRP cant detect backup file follow this steps :-
1- enter recovery
2- make a small backup like backup for boot only
3- reboot and go to my files
4- copy the backup folder of this rom which called 2015-08-26--18-57-38_LMY47X.N910CXXU1COH4 to the small backup folder

I am experiencing exactly the same issue.
Upgrade to B510 worked (it booted) but after installation of TWRP for MM the phone got into an bootloop. TWRP 2.8.7.0_6 is the only recovery which is able to start, it is impossible to get any older ones to start up. The stock recovery image from B510 is the only stock recovery which is able to start up, also it is possible to force the update for UPDATE.APP s on the internal memory, unfortunately there is no package avaiable which does not fail to install, as there are just partial updates for 6.0 and no full package and all other full packages are 5.1 or less. The downgrade B510-B354 seems to expect system files from B510 and as i got KangvipB354v2A flashed, those are not available. Also my nandroid backup from 5.1.1 won't boot up (does 6.0 expect an other kernel in the boot.img, was the bootloader changed during the update to 6.0?).
So we definitely need to get either one of those files to get our phones working again:
1. boot.img, cust.img and system.img (we've already got recovery.img)
2. or a complete nandroid backup of a working B510
3. or a full version UPDATE.APP of any MM rom
I would really appreciate if someone with a working B510 could provide one of these!

Full version of rom is not yet available.....i have been searching for that for the past two days.
The possible solution at the moment is to get back up from TWRP RUNNING b510 .
Lets wait and see for some help.

yes it is. thank you for your great tool btw.
I not tested cwm, because i never had KK on my phone.
It seems to me that if you have LP and install recovery KK , it can be a problem.
Look at xda how to make roolback LP - > KK , then if you already have ori KK, install CWM for KK and restore previous copies .

If I try the mobopx tool it says, "device not found", but write successful.
in the link for step 2 there is a link to 9 files that can be downloaded individually or zipped.
If you try to install the zip file it fails, if you put the zip in the twrp backup folder, twrp doesn't see it, if you put the files individually in the twrp backup folder, twrp doesn't see them. If you create a file called back-ups in the external sd card, same results.
Please tell me what I am doing wrong.
Thank You.

I really appreciate your help.
Which version of TWRP is that? I am unable to use the mobopx tool to flash any backup.
The file flashed fine, but now I am in a boot loop. I am in the US if that matters.
Thank you.

TWRP 2.8.7.0 for MM
if the mobo tool not working then try to flash it using fastboot, any one of this method should work, for me the fastboot flashing of twrp didnt work ,i used mobo tool.
If the issue repeats then try doing it from different pc it should definitely work.
try and let me know.

I finally got it working flashing another backup file over the one in this thread. But I am still having a few problems.....My internal memory is only showing 3.85GB total....I think my other system is still somehow installed or there are residual files I can't see.
WIFI and Bluetooth don't work.
Any Ideas?
Thanks
