Steps on how i got Samsung S3 into Bootloop :crying:
1)Go to recovery mode on CM11 ROM
2)Install Siyah Kernel - Siyah-s3-v1.9.1-CWM
3) Stuck in Bootloop
4) Tried Rooting using ODIN. This removed CWM from my mobile.
How to get out of this. Please help
You'd need to first flash Stock firmware to make sure the phone boots fine. You may wish to review [Tut] Unroot the Galaxy SIII (for stock updates/warranty) to that end.
Next you can flash CWM via Odin and the Rom of your choice. Please review [HOWTO] Rooting + Wiping + Flashing
If you still have a problem, please post in Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Thanks a lot.. that did the trick

I had rooted my Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 recently using Philz Touch5 CWM v6.0.3.2 and then I decided to put custom ROM OMNI nightly 4.4.4 -2014/09/09 to have android KITKAT 4.4.4 and I read on some threads that a minimum of CWM v6.0.4.4 and above is required to have KITKAT so I again had flashed or put Philz CWM v6.41.6 and then put OMNI ROM. Now KITKAT is working fine but then I try to backup KITKAT so that I can switch to Stock ROM and Custom Rom whenever I feel like but then while booting up the recovery software was changed by itself and then I show that I have two recovery Software- Clockworkmod and TeamWinRecovery. So problem is I had backed up the new custom Rom but that is done by TWRP whereas stock Rom was through CWM so a big problem is when I want to switch the two ROM. If both the ROMs were done by same recovery then must have been better but now I have to loose either of the two ROM's data then there is no meaning of backup :crying:
i also had installed ROM manager Please help... any advice would be very thankful. and sorry i wrote lengthy but i wanted to describe in precise way

I think it's not an issue.
If you want to go back to stock rom, flash cwm recovery and then restore the cwm nandroid backup.
If you want to restore the Kitkat rom, flash TWRP recovery and then restore the TWRP backup.
And in philz-touch cwm recovery you can set the default backup format to TWRP.
Check [PhilZ-cwm6][n7000] Stock Kernel+CWM6+Root+exFAT+NTFS-LTA thread for details.

Restoring the old backup also didnt work
Sir if I first root the stockrom android 4.1.2 by CWM Base v6.0.3.2 which is Philz Touch 5 and then reinstall a higher version CWM v6.0.4.4 and above then do i need to reboot into recovery again or what all must I do like wiping etc?? literally it must be like upgrading CWM versions. I am just a beginner so have multiple doubts:angel: And Sir I made 2 backups of stockROM one by CWM and other by ROMmanager but the backup by CWM says error while restoring at final end and restoring backup of ROMmanager does restore but there is no Setting Menu and some menus after restoration. Main problem is without Setting Menu!
Sir I am thinking to reflash the stockROM through ODIN by PC so please guide me as to how can I use one Single Recovery Software either CWM or TWRP and then again backup both the stockROM and KITKAT customROM so that I can latter switch to either of the two ROM when I want.
Again sir thankyou for the previous help and I do want ur valuable guide here too

I have already linked the FAQ thread for your device. Please read and ask there.
Maybe flashing back a stock firmware, rooting, backup and then flashing the Kitkat ROM again is a good idea.
Here is the Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 > Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General > [STOCK ROMS] N7000 All stock ROMs + install + Root guide All at 1place,Latest 4.1.* thread which explains nearly everything you need.
Additionally, here is a detailed rooting guide: Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 > Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General > [24sept12]How to Root/Unroot Samsung Galaxy Note + CWM
I have found a useful guide to flash Kitkat to your device: Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 > Galaxy Note GT-N7000 General > [Guide] A guide to KitKat
And concering Kitkat installation, you can ask directly in this thread.
And please ask further questions in the threads of your device specific forum ... there you will get quicker and proper help :fingers-crossed:
Hi.. I'm sorry for the long post, but I've been trying to install a nice Google Play Edition ROM on my phone for 2 days now and I'm hitting dead-end after dead-end. I'm just so tired and frustrated!! :crying:
I have rooted my At&T Galaxy S4 (NC1) using Geohot's Towelroot.
I then installed the TWRP app off the Play Store and used it to "Install TWRP".
At this point, when I tried to create a backup by rebooting to recovery, the phone reboots and it gets stuck with the following message (paraphrasing a bit):
"Unable to perform normal boot. Using ODIN.. Downloading.. Do not turn off device"
I then used the "Home+Vol dwn+Power" combo to reboot back into the stock ROM.
At this point I read about Loki and having to bypass the bootloader.
So I downloaded the loki_tool file from https://github.com/djrbliss/loki and followed the instructions there to create the aboot.img. However, when I tried to created the .lok file from a TWRP 2.8.0.1 open recovery image, it said "Failed to find function to patch". (For this step I tried with both ADB and a terminal emulator on my phone).
On Danvdh's forum http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2557353, he simply says
"I only support the latest TWRP recovery, AT&T users must loki after flashing
-Full wipe
-Flash ROM
-Reboot"
But I'm not even able to boot into TWRP recovery!!
I don't know what the fundamental problem is and trying to wade through the ocean of information out there looking for a solution is just too exhausting when I don't even know the problem!
PLEASE HELP!!
Thanks in advance!:fingers-crossed:
Hi,
Here is the best place to ask for help with your device,

Good luck!
HI..
I am currently using samsung galaxy s duos 2(gt-s7582)
first i rooted my device with i root and then tried to install custom rom..though there was not a single custom rom developed for this device.
so i tried to install unsupported roms from miui..after fixing some error issues finally it installed correctly..but stuck in boot loop..
at the begining i restored the back up stock rom using cwm recovery..then again tried to install those roms..meanwhile i formated system folder after that I am facing failure to mount efs and also facing boot loop while flashing stock rom or custom rom.also tried to fix bootloop using adb..but could not get into adb shell in boot loop situation..please help me to get out of the situation..
thank you.
Hi,
Sounds like a bit of a mess now. I hope the miui roms you flashed were made for your exact device, or you could have real troubles. Though it doesn't sound like your bricked yet.
You'll need to try flashing your stock firmware again to hopefully get up and running. I can't find anything on XDA for your firmware... But this thread has some pre-rooted stock firmware and flashing instructions,
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2594957
You could look for your firmware at the sammobile website and start at step 5 in the thread above. It's the same procedure, but using the firmware from sammobile instead.
You can ask for help in the first thread above.... But if that doesn't help, you'll need to ask for help here,
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Good luck!
I just now rooted my Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 with Odin and it is working perfect. The only problem is it will not boot into CWM. When I reboot into recovery it takes me straight to the stock recovery system with no option to install from .zip or anything like that. I installed ClockWorkMod and flashed it, but it still won take me to the CWM recovery mod, just the Stock Recovery system.
Any ideas what to do?
Hi,
I suggest you review this all in one thread for your device... Especially the custom recovery section. Perhaps try twrp? If you still have issues, ask in the thread...

i dont have any experience with your device, but you may want to review the roms thread and see if they mention upgrading the bootloader and/or modem. cm 12 is a good bit newer than what you have on, and those things commonly need to be upgraded.
check before you try it and ensure you need it or not, im just stating general facts
