How to install CWM recovery:
For rooted/non-rooted A25:
1. Download SPFlashTool and extract it.
2. Extract CWMR_6003_A25_Update1.zip
3. Run Flash_tool.exe.
4. Load scatter file extracted from CWMR_6003_A25.zip and you will see "recovery" ticked.
WARNING: Don't put tick "PRELOADER" & "DSP_BL" (those red ones)...
5. Then, goto "Options" --> "DA Download All" --> Click on "Disable DA Download All". Now, you are ready to flash recovery...
6. Turn off your phone. Remove battery for some seconds. Put battery and attach usb cable to phone(don't turn on phone).
7. Now, Click "Download" in SPFlashTool.
8. Attach usb to computer... SPFlashTool will show a dialog box showing downloaded and a green circle. Close the SPFlashTool.
9. You are done. Disconnect usb.
10. Boot into recovery through 3-button combo (Volume Up + Home + Power).
11. Voila!!! Your CWMR is live...
For Rooted A25:
1. Download Mobileuncle Tools APK.
2. Install the apk.
3. Copy the recovery.img extracted from CWMR_6003_A25.zip to the sdcard.
4. Run MobileUncle Tools
5. Click on "Recovery Update".
6. You will see recovery.img on top. Install it.
7. Use MobileUncle to reboot into recovery..
8. Your CWMR is now live...
Back to Stock Recovery:

i think i have got semi bricked phone ....micromax a25
it is detected by computer and make us port..
as the steps mentioned by u i launch flash tool ----> load scatter file ---->then disable da download all.--->
then it gives me error that recovery image is not in valid da format...
do iam doing something wrong...

the recovery is likely to be original ,but works great b'coz of this i flashed micromax a52 custom roms and it worked for me

Custom Rom for Alcatel T’POP
Custom Rom for Alcatel Onetouch (OT) T’pop
Custom Rom for Alcatel T’pop have been very elusive. Searching it online can be very frustrating but you don’t have to worry any more. This rom is Cynogenmod (Xperia Z) rom modded to work with Alcatel Onetouch (OT) T’Pop (4010A, 4010X, 4010D, 4010E) also known in some regions as Alcatel Glory 2S. This Custom Rom has been modded to use m2sd which increases alcatel t’pop internal memory by using the sd card to store Apps.
I wrote this article to guide you through the installation methods, but first you have to have your phone rooted and CWM recovery installed.
How to Root Alcatel (OT) T’pop
To root your Alcatel T’pop you must have a pc running Windows. Since Window does not have Alcatel drivers, download them from here.. After download execute the file and reboot your pc if necessary.
The next step is to install Ishuaji root. download from this link
The next step is to turn ON the USB debugging option on your device opening Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > USB debugging.
Open Ishuaji.
Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
5. Now hit that little green button which appears in the bottom-right corner of the app.
6. It should start rooting your device.
7. You should now be rooted! Excellent! Your device’s been successfully rooted and you’re all set to enjoy the customization of your android.
Installing CWM
Download Cwm from here (link below)
Extract the archive which contains two files (mobile uncle tools.apk and recovery.img) . Install mobile uncle and make sure to move recovery.img to the root of your sd card.
open the mobile uncle application and grant it superuser permissions. Just press the left option (that is the “allow button”.
Click continue then choose “flash recovery from sd card”. Choose recovery.img. Well-done you now have cwm 5 installed on your phone.
Removing Chinese Super User
Download Super User (google for it/playstore/or use the forum)
Switch off your phone.
Press the volume up button and the power on button until the phone enters recovery mode.
Select “Install Zip From Sd Card” option and go to the downloaded super user.zip. Thats All.
INSTALLING XPERIA Z MOD FOR ALCATEL T’POP
Now that you have a rooted phone and CWM recovery installed lets play with custom roms. To install a custom rom is simple but sometime things can go wrong. First you have to save your current rom. Switch off your phone and Press the Volume Up and Power button to enter recover mode. Select Backup and Restore, then Backup and wait for CWM to backup your current ROM which can be used to restore your phone to an earlier state.
Download the Xperia Z custom rom for Alcatel T’pop from here(link below)
Extract the RAR archive which contains XPERIA ROM MOD BY VIKTOR DOMINGUEZ.zip and a Folder named RESTORE containing other files. Create a Folder with the name clockworkmod in root of your sd card if its not yet available. Open the folder and create another named backup.
Copy the Restore folder you extracted to clockworkmod>backup.
Copy XPERIA ROM MOD BY VIKTOR DOMINGUEZ.zip to the root of your sd card, do not extract the zip file.
Installation
Switch off your phone.
Press volume up and power buttons at the same time until you enter recovery mode.
Do the following first -Wipe data/factory reset -Wipe cache partition if any
Select the option INSTALL ZIP FROM SDCARD. Select XPERIA ROM MOD BY VIKTOR DOMINGUEZ.zip.
Install the zip
When complete select go back until you find the option BACKUP AND RESTORE.
Select Restore and select Restore/ .Wait until the operation is complete and reboot your system.
THATS ALL. ENJOY YOUR CUSTOM ANDROID. (STAY TUNED FOR OTHER CUSTOM ROMS)

Normal flashing instructions, full wipes, install, flash enclosed CWM backup, flash a few zips..etc... included in the readme file. Not my rom, found it here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kere5VobLC0 and not my phone, so risked it. Works great and better than the xperia rom and stock anyway. Still need root uninstaller as bloat even on this one. After bloatware removal, there is maybe 130meg left ish, in system memory...

I need some help.
Did you had clockworkmod installed on the phone? If so, how did you installed it? Since the recovery.img way didn't work for me...The phone restarted, but no cwm at all...
Or you installed it without cwm?

alcatel one touch 4010x
hi guy i am trying to flash recovery into my alcatel one touch 4010x using sp flash tool now i tells me that my phone does not have a bootloader..
the phone wont boot to recovery..
it says download bootloader..
does anyone have a fix for this?

Hey guys, I'm trying to root this Alcatel 4010X and I'm following the instructions.
I installed the usb drivers to my laptop, installed ishuaji_root.exe an ran it..... Followed all the instructions and now my phone has restarted but has a lot of chinese writing - different apps etc, even though the phone language is still UK
I'm struggling with the next bit about installing CWM - I've installed it to my laptop via this https://www.xda-developers.com/how-to-install-clockworkmod/ link,but I'm unsure what I need to do now....
Does anyone know the newest version of android that will work on this handset?

There is no newer version. Only skinned versions of those newer ROMs.
How to put a custom rom on your mediatek device
this tuturial os for OEM rebrands of "Chinese Manufactured" phones
Warning: if your phone isnt has a commercial OEM Brand, think twice before putting a custom rom on it, you must find a experience about Mediatek devices, before you proceed.
Requirements:
1. Fully Working Unit ( with atleast 50% battery )
2. Relaible Internet connection
3. Good Google Search Skills
4. Lasest Mobile Uncle App ( Link here )
5. Recovery ( its a ".img" file )
6. Custom Rom ( its a ".zip" file )
What will Happen After:
1. All your Apps would possibly be gone ( you can redownload )
2. you have root privalages
3. you Have a custom rom on device
Step 1: first you must root your device
Step 1.1: list of Rooting Apps for PC and Android
Step 2: Find an Apropriate Recovery and Custom Rom( must be the exact recovery/rom for your device, unless it wont work )
Step 2.1: Google the Following Terms:
- "[name/model of Device] CWM Recovery"
- "[name/model of Device] TWRP Recovery"
- "[name/model of Device] Custom roms"
Goal: the goal is to find the ".img" file recovery, and the ".zip" file Custom Rom
Note: from there, you are on your own on how to download those files.
Step 2.2: If you cant find any on those search terms, try these:
- "Rebrand of [name/model of Device]"
Goal: is to find the Rebrand Version ( means exact device but different country or brand ) of your device
Note: check "ALL" the specs of the device if its a match, if you found it proceed to "Step 2.3"
Step 2.3: Google...
- "[name/model of rebrand device] Custom Roms"
- "[name/model of rebrand device] CWM Recovery"
- "[name/model of rebrand device] TWRP Recovery"
Goal: is to find the custom rom and recovery for the rebrand device, which is can be used to yours.
Step 2.4: if you really cant find any, just log-in to your Facebook Account, and Search for a fan group of your device, from there you may find a Recovery and Custom Rom files
Step 3: now you have the requirements, lets install the Rom
Step 3.1: Copy your "Custom Rom" and "Recovery" on Internal "AND" External Storage of the Phone, if you dont have enough space, please delete or back up some of your files
Step 3.2: Install Mobile Uncle App
Step 3.3: After installing open Mobile Uncle App and "grant root access" on your device
Step 3.2: Now go to Recovery Update, and select the recovery.img you downloaded
Goal: is to install Custom Recovery, by installing the ".img" that you put on internal or external
Step 3.4: if its said reboot to recovery, click yes!
GOal: to go to the recovery, for few seconds it will reboot, and you will the the interface of the recovery, if it doenst go to recovery, you repeat the process of installing the recovery, or you got the wrong ".img" for your device, and you must find the proper one again.
Step 4: Back Up Current/Stock Rom
- For CWM Recovery ( ClockWorkMod )
How to Use: Volume UP = UP, Volume Down = Down, Power = Select, Back Button = Back )
Step 4.1: go to...
- Back up and restore
- Then select Back Up or Back up to internal/external SD Card
Warning: if it fails, reboot to Android, and delete/back up again all the files
- For TWRP Recovery ( Team Win Recovery Project )
How to use: it is touch based
Step 4.1: go to...
- Back Up
- Put "X" mark on each box ( "x" means select or "check" )
- Slide to Back up
Warning: if it fails, reboot to Android, and delete/back up again all the files
Note: it will now start to back up, you can charge the phone while backing up or connect it to your PC, and wait for the process to complete
Step 5: Put the Custom Rom on your device
- For CWM Recovery
Step 5.1: go to...
- Install Zip
- "Choose Zip from /sdcard" or "Choose Zip from extsdcard
- Then Find the ".zip" file you put there
- and click "yes"
Note: it will now start to Install the Rom, you can charge the phone while installing the rom or connect it to your PC, and wait for the process to complete
Warning: if it fails, you got a wrong/corrupt custom rom and you must download another or you must find a TWRP recovery for your device
- For TWRP Recovery
Step 5.2: go to...
- Install Zip
- Find the ".zip" file you put on both internal and external
- and Slide to Install
Note: it will now start to Install the Rom, you can charge the phone while installing the rom or connect it to your PC, and wait for the process to complete
Warning: if it fails, you got a wrong/corrupt custom romand you must download another or you must find a CWM recovery for your device
Step 5.3: if everything now goes smooth, it finnished the installing of the rom, without warning you must factory reset your device, to avoid Bootlopp ( Softbrick )
- For CWm
Step 5.3.1: go to...
- Wipe Data / Factory Reset
- and yes
- then Advanced
- Wipe Dalvik Cache ( Select "Yes" if it prompt )
- then Reboot
- For TWRP
Step 5.3.1: go to...
- Wipe
- Mark "x" only "Data", "Cache", "Dalvik Cache"
- Then Slide
- After Thar Reboot to System
Note: if you do exactly everything, it must boot to android, and everything should be working smoothly

Root LAVA iris 300
1. Download The Framaroot APK here and install it to your phone.
2. Goto Settings > Security > and tick “Unknown Sources“.
3. Run Framaroot, choose Superuser or SuperSU.
4. Select Boromir or Bahamir.
5. You will see Success.
6. Reboot device, Done. :good:
OR
1. Download The Kingoroot APK here and install it to your phone.
2. Run King Root application.
3. Click on Root button. It take sometime for the rooting process.
4. Reboot device, done. :good:
Stock Rom : JB 4.2
Unbrick your LAVA iris 300
1. Download Stock Rom from here (by xdafirmware)and extract it.
2. Download mtk_usb driver from here and install it.
3. Open Sp flash tool, select scatter.txt.
4. Click on download.
5. Power off your device (confirm off), then connect usb cable. (dnt press any key, flash with battery).
6. System will detect your device as mediatek_preloader_com.
7. Sp Tool will recognise your Phone and flashing will start.
8. Once the flashing process is completed, a green ring will appear on your system.
9. Dissconnect, Power On, Done :good:

Nandroid Backup/restore (recommended)
Take Full backup of your LAVA iris 300
You can take full backup with Custom recovery (Carliv/TWRP).
OR
1. Download Mtkdroid tool here (by gsmhosting)and extract it.
2. Download Pdanet+ andoid usb driver from here and install it.
3. Install BusyBox.apk in your device from playstore.
4. Enable debugging mode on your phone > Settings > Development. Tap 'android usb debugging' and make sure it's checked.
(if there is no option for development then go to setting > about phone > build number, tap on it 7 times, Go back to Settings menu and now you'll be able to see “Developer options” there.)
5. Open MTK Droid Tools folder with right-click on 'MTKdroidTools.exe' and Select 'Run as administrator'.
6. Wait several seconds while MTK Droid Tools communicates with your device. give root permission to adb-shell on your device.
7. Click the 'root' button in MTK Droid Tools to get temporary root shell.
8. Now get nvram backup. For full backup go to 2nd tab click on backup.
9. Here will be saved all backup \MtkDroidTools\backups.
10. Prepare this backup to make it flashable through SP Flash Tool. To do it, click on To 'prepare blocks for Flash Tool.'
11. A new windows will appear asking for a .md5 file of the backup. So navigate to the MTK Droid Tools folder where your backup is found. Open the backup that your have created earlier and select the files.md5 click open.
12. Wait for MTK Droid Tools to copy the files for SP Flash Tool, check the status messages until the copying/task is complete. Done

Restore :
1. Open , SP Flash Tool.exe run as administrator. Load the scatter file (click scatter-loading) which you have prepared from MTK Droid Tools to be flashable through SP Flash Tool.
2. After you loaded scatter file, All must checked except for Cache and USERDATA and most importantly, do not check DSP_BL or Preloader else you'll brick it.
3. To restore device, click Download from SP Flash Tool, a prompt will appear, just click Yes. Immediately connect your Power OFF device to your computer via USB .
4. Wait for the tool to detect your device and restore the Stock ROM that you have made. An alert with a green circle appears after successfully downloading the restore.
