Could our ics update have been delayed because they are encrypting our bootloader for the upgrade?

Lol yeah that's true, just after all the irritated people finding their sgs3 with an encrypted bootloader makes me nervous of Verizon.
Sent from PhoneRom (ThunderShed)
It would be kind of stupid to encrypt a bootloader that hasn't been but verizon could possibly have them do it.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
I doubt you'll see it here. I think the real reason for the delay, is that this phone is over a year old. That's like 83 in cellphone years. Also, htc is no longer making money on this phone.
I just hope we even get the update at all. I guess we might, now that jellybean is coming out. That way we'll be acceptably behind in OS releases, just like we've always been.

No. But the only reason I said this at all is because I talked to a tech at HTC who basically implyed that the update is done, the hold up is on Verizon at this point.

Not surprising. They have to take it apart and add all their bs to it before they send it out. At least we know htc is finished so maybe verizon won't take too long.

And throttling, taking good old plans away, "droid" crap, Update's that brake flash player on 4.0 NOT 4.1 and modding the phone so that it asks for wifi 24/7/365/the rest of time.
I was really pissed at them before and now getting better some what. I hope that I can drop my AT&T line some time, but that's less likely now becuase I get very good "4G" or H+ (3-4 out of 4 bars every were there) at were I work with 5Mbs+ DL vs 1-3 bars of verizon "3G" as slow as sprint like 500kbs slow.( That's with both my razr and now my S3 by the way)
Any way flash player better still work or I will likely be going to WP8 for some of flash player to work. ( never did think that was going to happen. LOL)

After using a GNEX for the past 6 months, I am actually loving TW. I was running a TW theme on JB to make it look like an S3 but you know what, it still wasn't an S3. Now I have a TW theme and it actually is an S3 : )
So Samsung offically announced the US devices getting JB and while reading the article is says it is coming to the Galaxy S3 on AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and US Cellular. I was like WHAAAAAAAAT!
Then when you scroll down to the chart, is has the Verzion S3 JB update also listed as coming soon. Man, a typo like that can give someone a heart attack.

If you're sticking with Verizon and plan to get a new phone either at retail, or upgrading, which one are you planning on going with?
My upgrade is available in 10 days.
But I think I'm going to wait for the Droid DNA.
I dont like the feel of S3, lack of 4G on the Nexus4 is a dealbreaker (the whole reason I jumped on the TBolt!) if it even comes to VZW.
I dont see any other phones available, or upcoming that seem as good as the DNA has the potential to be.
I'm going to buy something off of someone from Craigslist. I'm definitely not upgrading and losing my unlimited and I'm sure not just going to walk into Verizon and buy a phone at full price.
I'm also waiting and hoping to see the HTC DNA. If it doesn't hit Verizon for whatever reason, I MAY go with the Galaxy SIII but I HATE Samsung's build. I don't like Sense as much as I used to, but I still favor Sense to anything else.

I don't think there is any doubt that the Droid DNA is coming to Verizon at this point.
They are set to do an official announcement on Nov. 13th.
It has already cleared FCC and there are leaked Press shots of it with the Verizon logo on it as well.
Not to mention, it's already in VZW's system, as a device with a non-removable battery.
HERE is my thread following the device.
I will be forking out full retail for this baby.
But I must THANK all those who have donated to me for the development of NuSenseROM, as that's what will be paying for it.
Thanks to all those who contributed, I can't wait to get a hold of this new HTC phone and look forward to seeing what I can develop for it.

That was my original plan when I bought the Nexus 7, but the fact is leaving your phone as a mobile hotspot kills the battery fast, and if you only activate it when you need it then it's a hassle to open settings, turn on mobile hotspot, then wait a minute for it to connect - all to check a facebook notification. Not to mention walking around with two devices isn't really ideal.

Actually it is easier to develop from AOSP. It is also easy to port from the same phone but different carriers. The difficulty comes from porting from one device to another.
