Modded S-Memo App for 200/220/240/260 DPI Density Setting

Update: I made different Versions for Different DPI Settings.
I modded the SMemo so that it can be used with 200/220/240/260 DPI Setting without having that ugly lines. Most of the Backgrouds should be useable
OG App was taken from the Angelrom 1.0
How to Install:
Backup your SMemo.apk from /system/app
Edit the File Name to SMemo.apk
Copy the File to /system/app
Optional: reboot

one question though, how'd you mod the smemo apk and make the mod stick? i was changing some png's inside using 7zip, nothing else, and just pushing the apk back to the system apps folder but my modifications do not reflect. am i missing a step here?

Works good for the notes that are made from within the smemo application.
However still the same for notes that are made by opening a new note by tapping the screen twice with the pen

I extracted the files/folders where the images are in the resized them with Imagemagick on Ubuntu and put them back to the apk which i had openend in the Zip Program.

Tried the Mininote thing, the Note View BG must be another one. When you edit it its ok. You can then just open the Skin selector and select the same skin again then its fine

Yes. The background is back to normal when i edit the mininote. However wish it happened by default.

Gonna check it over the weekend. Wanna try and make versions for other Densitys like 200 220.

i found that the file is obly 17k or so while the original is 14mb.. this could be why?

But I think that the work is not entirely finished..
As you can see, in some (3) wallpaper, there are still 5 brown lines
Maybe it's ok to 260, but you could fix for the 240 density
also a correct mini-notes would be much appreciated (SMemoLite.apk)

Can someone be so kind as to post the original s-memo apk (without density change) for me? I lost one of the default images--the building one--by accidentally deleting it but I like it a lot. Many thanks in advance.

I've uninstaller the previous smemo app, but now when i try to install the modified apk with astro it says "Application not installed".
Why? I need it!!!

updated first Post, now theres apk File for 200, 220, 240 and 260 DPI
Next Project is trying to edit the XML Files so that the General Layout looks ok but there are so many XML Files
If anyone has some tips etc how to do it and where to look just post them here.

HOW TO GET NFC ICON ON STATUS BAR​
Requirements
1. Root Explorer or any root file apk. I did mine with Root Browser
2. Have Knowledge.​
1. Go to System folder
2. CSC folder.
3. Open Feature.xml or Other.xml depending on your S4
4. Add this in under <!-- NFC -->

5. Save and reboot. Make sure you have NFC turn on

I only seen 2 types of NFC icons on i9500 when I decompile sec settings.
The icons are there but with CSC/feature.xml is pretty much telling the system what to do. That N icon is set to ATT that is why it shows only with that line

I don't know which FW version you've explored, but in MH1 version NFC icons (and NFC CSC code parser) are in NfcNci.apk
I went with 3rd type as more compatible with other icons. First two are too big IMHO.

Finding Csc folder
Hi gypsy214 i cant find csc folder with root browser any idea why im using odex preroot BMG1 rom even i try with root explorer but didnt found some help would be great

After try many ways i found other.xlm thanks to kkoolpatz its says"These features can be found in /system/csc/feature.xml
Some users have reported on being on a rom that does not have feature.xml. If you are one of these you may try adding the code to /system/csc/others.xml (same directory)." but even i try modified others.xml with file explorer adding these lines says cant save the changes so i think the problem its because im using preroot and not full root but im a noob so maybe some member can advise about this

Right forgot to mention here in the US is on Feature.xml in Canada as well as internation is on Other.xml

I've made a themed Accuweather widget themed. The theme is ported from the Galaxy S5.

Try to put the widget in /preload/symlink/system/app, change permissions and reboot.

I have tried with the steps given but still couldn't see the widget.Kindly help.I use GT N7000 Stock Jelly bean 4.1.2 DDLSC ROM which is rooted.

V1 won't work too. Try to delete the .odex file attached to the widget.

Script(CWM) to add additional toggles in notification panel

Here is a zip file that I edited which you can install via recovery.It include a script that adds missing or hidden toggles in notification panel. Some toggles may not work on other roms cause either they are disable or missing smali files or completely remove by Samsung.Already tested on Aryamod rom],Norma lollipop rom and Darklord rom. Credit goes to @tdunham for the original file here
Install zip via recovery then after reboot go to notification panel setting and click reset.

Can you share link of pekaka rom mate? Maybe flashlight is disabled in system or its missing some files in smali.

Maybe you can ask @pekaka to try to activate it if its possible. There is a great guide here to activate it for Note3

[APP] Sony ID + Transparent weather widget

Hi guys, this app works in every device and it was modded by me. I love the new Sony Weather app but I don't like the wallpapers used for the widget, so i thought to work on a transparent version and this is the result. To apply the mod you need to install the original version before and than you must paste the mod version through the system with a root file manager. NB flashing the .zip file (1st step) you will be able to download other Sony apps too (Music, Album ecc.)

flash this zip to obtain the Sony identification on the Google Play Store (it could work after some hours, be patient )
install the original app
copy and paste the base.apk (modded app) into data/app/com.sonymobile.xperiaweather
give the authorizations rw-r--r-- to the replaced app
reboot

yes...probably the Play Store needs to recognize you as Xperia Smartphone. After the flash of the zip i suggest a wipe cache/dalvik...and be patient because sometimes the identification isn t immediate!

you must download the modded version.. it s called "base. apk"
go to the download folder (system/download) by root explorer (or another file manager root) and copy that "base. apk".. after that you must go to system/data/app and search the folder of the xperia weather..opening that you ll find another "base.apk". replace it pasting the app already copyed and after press for 2 second on the app.. go to the permissions of that app and change them in RW-R--R--

You don't install the transparent apk, you have to copy it to data/app/com.sonymobile.xperiaweather as shown in the OP, then and change the permissions and reboot - profit :good:
