[SOLVED] Updating to 4.4.3 Firmware without using adb (rooted/s-off) - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Just head over to @Tigerstown's thread HERE. He's the one who helped me. His thread is on fire!
I'm new to HTC with adb & fastboot and all...
Anyways, I'm trying to flash the 4.4.3 firmware to my M8 with my MacBook Pro. Here's the situation:
*fastboot and adb are installed and functioning
*Android File Transfer on Mac sees phone
***neither adb or fastboot see my phone as a connected device!!
Also, if I go thru the steps one more time, I might explode!!
Any help? Is there a way for me to drag the firmware.zip onto my sd card and flash it WITHOUT my computer??
Thanks for any help

This has the instructions (with a YouTube video) on how to flash/update my firmware from 4.4.2 to 4.4.3 via adb on a Mac...I even tried just following the video step-by-step!...but I can only seem to get adb working on my Windows 7 desktop. So can u tell me which adb commands would be different with using Windows rather than OSX?
I can get my phone to reboot into the boot loader via adb...but once I try getting it to enter UUR or UUF mode, it does nothing!
Why would this be happening? I guess I basically need to find a proper guide on updating my boot loader/firmware via adb on Windows (7).

What is uur mode? You mean ruu mode? what happens when you r in bootloader an it says fastboot usb type fastboot devices in cmd an what is the output?

Yes you can use SD card. Place the file on the root of your SD card rename the file to 0P6BIMG.zip reboot to your bootloader click on hboot an then it will prompt you to update pick yes an let it do its thing.

When I type in adb devices, it shows my macbook...and only that.
So, is it completely fine to do a firmware update straight from the sd card like that...with the renaming the file method?

I hear that way different. I would help you with fastboot but I have never sat in front of a Mac or used one so I couldn't be of help. But I would get that working that's for sure.

Your screenshot does not have the current radios so I'm saying no you didn't update the latest firmware. It is very simple. Rename file, place on root of external sd card, boot to bootloader an click hboot then proceed

I don't think I flashed this one...I think I did the 4.4.2 one. Haha, after that. Is this the correct one? I took it directly from your thread.

If you are rooted unless someone else did it for you then flashing a ROM is a breeze. If you just wanna get updated to the latest build then follow the suggestion above. It has what looks like good step by step instructions for you to follow.

Can you go into Bootloader/Fastboot? (Volume Down + Power)
EDIT: Read your other thread. You need to flash a stock recovery. You can do that via fastboot. Flash a stock recovery, format SD card, then flash a custom recovery again and you should be good to go.
Process of flashing any recovery is easy. Refer to the method in my signature, you just need to follow the RECOVERY FLASHING PART ONLY.
Other necessary info is also available.

Great. Now you have a stock recovery. Just format the SD Card from recovery and the SD should be good.
Afterwards, you can flash any custom recovery and mess around with flashing ROMs etc.

Download This. Open the zip file with 7-Zip or WinRAR, go to firmware.zip, extract recovery.img.
Then flash the recovery in the same way. This is the stock recovery and not TWRP.
I am assuming your phone to be S3 and updated to Jellybean already.

brick after build.prop edit

Hey there,
I've bricked my OneS after I edited my build.prop.
What I did:
One week ago, I've unlocked my phone via HTCdev and than I flashed TWRP and this rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-s/development/rom-oneplus-one-stock-rom-cm11s-one-s-t2869703
Yesterday, I noticed that my computer does not find my mobile phone and adb is not working.
I thought that this is caused by the build.prop edits which I've done with the Pimp My Rom App so I deleted the modified build.prop file and added the stock file of the rom. After that I tried to restart my OneS but now only the screen htc boot animation with the red text appears and the mobile phone does not boot anymore but I have still axcess to the bootloader and the recovery. Adb doesn't work but fastboot works.
What should I do? I've found this solution: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630459
But do you think it will work with my problem, because my adb already haven't worked before the brick.
Sorry for my bad english!
Edit: The content of the system folder is deleted
Do you haven't any ideas?:crying:

No idea. Still trying to figure this out, currently trying to flash the .img like you said with the toolkit. But thinking maybe flashing the whole 8.1 ROM. Should work ......I think ...:cyclops:
you dont need the toolkit for that.
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot flash boot boot.img
let phone reboot then you can use skip toolkit. get the latest one that supports 8.1
Doing the above gets rid of the red triangle error "device is corrupt"
