Voice calls not working after reactivating device - Verizon HTC One (M8)

Rooted S off Verizon M8 was used with T-Mobile for 4 months. Switched to Verizon again and bought iPhone 6 for my wife. Tried reactivating M8 with old Verizon SIM but only data works, voice calls doesn't work.
Went to Verizon store and replaced SIM and same issue. Was with tier 2 support for close to 2 hours and they couldn't figure out what is happening. They see the phone as turned off but data works.
Phone works well with Lycamobile SIM, so not an issue with phone.
Any suggestions?

[Q] Switching from other verizon phone

Since the droid charge uses a sim card, can I still switch to it form another verizon phone via the website? Like this: http://www.ehow.com/how_5046976_switch-phones-easily-verizon-wireless.html
I currently have an Iphone and I want to buy a droid charge off-contract and switch to it.
My guess is you have an AT&T iPhone since the Verizon iPhone doesn't have a SIM in it. The 4G LTE phone(s) as of right now its just the ThunderBolt (we are still waiting on the Droid Charge, LG Revolution and the Droid Bionic) all use a 4G LTE SIM, but that is only for LTE their current voice calls are on 3G which is CDMA and doesn't use a SIM.
So if you were swapping one 4G LTE Verizon phone to another yes you could the same SIM but not otherwise.
I have the verizon iphone. Since the charge uses a sim card, I was wondering if I could still switch from a verizon phone that does NOT use a sim card (the iphone).
i'm not talking about switching sim cards. On the verizon website, you can switch phones by inputting the ESN/MEID of the new phone.
I hope I made myself clearer (probably not).
You would need a new sim card. The sim cards are 1 time use so if you activate the iphone you will need a new sim to activate the Charge again.
I am a bit confused on this. The Verizon iPhone takes a SIM card, that isn't something I had heard before. In either case if the VZW iPhone takes one, it would be a 3G only SIM and the Charge requires a 4G LTE SIM.
I have also read from a user who had the ThunderBolt and took his 4G LTE SIM out and put it into the Charge and it worked for them. That I also found odd since it was supposed to be a one time use, per phone which seems like a waste, but its Verizon.
Its not per phone. The sim is a one time activation that once deactivated it can never be activated again. You can swap the sim to other devices but if you ever deactivate it it can never be used again.

The verizon Iphone does not take a sim card, only the AT&T one does. That's the problem. I am hoping that I can buy a new verizon sim card and have my current number transferred to it.
Verizon will give you a new SIM for free when you activate a 4G phone (currently TBolt or Droid Charge) and will transfer your number to it. You can then swap the SIM between different 4G phones without having to call Verizon, do *228, or any other maneuvers-- it just works.
However, if you ever switch back from your 4G device to a 3G device on the same number, your SIM will become "retired" and you need to go get another one from Verizon (again, free, at least so far) if you want to switch back to a 4G phone. Or, they will mail you a SIM.

[Q] Rings once then get a no service icon at the top

I just purchased the sII skyrocket 2 weeks back. About every 2 days the phone would stop receiving calls. When i get a call it would ring a half ring and then at the top where it shows the signal would have a no sign on it like there was no service. Once its goes in to this mode it would stay in it until i reboot the phone. The problem is that i never actually know who is calling because it never logs a missed call. This is the first i have seen this on any andriod phone. Here is some additional info, Stock Rom, Phone is rooted, i have the following apps frozen using TBP
Allshare
At&T code canner
At&T hotspots
At&T navigator
At&T ready 2 Go
Featured Apps
Kies Air
Kies via Wifi
Kobo
NFC service
NFC Test
QIK Lite
QuickOffice
Social Hub
Tethering Manager
Any thoughts? I should add that its not specific to one contact it will happen to anyone that calls, i have tested this calling from my wifes cell to mine when it was in this mode and saw it happen constantly. Rebooted sitting in the same place phone received calls.
no feedback yet from community but i thought i would post an updated.
I contacted AT&T that suggested it could be the SIM card, I went to the store tonight and changed out my SIM. I will update this if the issue goes away so in case some one has something similar they know what a potential fix could be.
Interesting.
Did you get a new SIM card when you get the Skyrocket as well?
I know they issued me a new SIM card at purchase because of the LTE upgrade.
yep they gave me a new sim card when i purchased it said the old one wasn't compatible. So the one i just received replaced the new one that is about 10 days old.
just to update this, this seemed to have fully fixed my issue.. since i swapped the sim there have been no issue
Your SIM was probably dying out, it happens.
Glad to see your issue was fixed, I was thinking you were having LOS, same as the Sprint SGS II.

[Q] activation

I bought this phone Verizon HTC ONE M8 off of an unknown person. Straight Talk sent me a new sims card but when they went to activate it they said i needed to call verizon that there waS SOMETHING PENDING ON VERIZONS END. called them and they told me with out the account number they couldnt help me. They think thAT THE PHONE WAS reported lost/stolen.
Is there anyway to get around this so i can activate my phone. only thing it is good for right now is using it as a Tablet with wifi.
Can you get in touch with the seller?
Save the Manuals!!!
I had this problem when I originally activated my M8 on straight talk. They said that to me when I bought it off swappa and they pre check the ESN to verify if its clean or not. I just called back and they were able to get it switched over. I assume your using the CDMA BYOP program thru straight talk like I was and all I had to do was call in and have the sim card activated.

Unlocked HTC U11 unable to make/receive calls with Verizon: Solved

Hi. I got my unlocked U11 from Amazon the other day and popped my M8 SIM card into it. I was able to send/receive texts and use data, but I couldn't make/receive phone calls. I was reading online about other people having this same issue, resulting in them returning their phone.
Well, after an hour or so on the phone with Verizon support, she had me go to one of their stores to get a new SIM card. I wasn't optimistic, but as soon as I popped I'm the new (free) SIM card, phone calls were working!
I was in and out of the store in 10 minutes. Turns out the issue was just that the SIM card was old and didn't know how to handle an LTE only phone (without a CDMA radio). If you have this problem and your SIM card has six consecutive 0s in it, try going to a corporate Verizon store for a new one (they are free).
Be prepared to return to VZW if it suddenly drops off the network. Mine worked for 36 hrs then just stopped. It took 48 hrs for htc/VZW to fix mine.

So, you were able to get it working again though? Trying to prepare in case it happens to me.
Yeah it just started working again yesterday.

Apparently lots of people have been having this problem. I'm very hesitant to get the U11 now seeing as these issues haven't been fixed with Verizon. How disappointing...
I haven't had a problem yet since I received my U11 3 days after release. I'm using the SIM card from my unlocked Pixel XL and the only things I miss is CDMA when LTE isn't there and no band 4.
All in all, not perfect but pretty dang good

AT&T on Unlocked Note 8 WIFI Calling why one phone will work and one wont!?

I have 2 Note 8s right from Samsung Unlocked. My dad and I are both on AT&T. We both flashed the AT&T firmware. His works with WiFi calling mine doesn't. The only 2 differences are I took an update the day before we flashed and he did not. Also he has had WiFi calling on AT&T with an LG G6 phone and used it. I have never activated any device on WiFI calling with AT&T prior to this. Last night I put my sim in his old LG G6 and called AT&T to swap IMEI numbers. With that phone I was able to activate WIFI calling.
So is the issue really the unlocked note 8s IMEI numbers not set up with AT&T correctly and my dad got lucky or is it with the firmware software?
I have had so much help from BlueFox721 and a few others I know there is an answer out here.
The crappy thing about this is that it is more important for my dad to have WiFi calling than me but now that I know it is not working I don't want to give up!

I hope someone gets it figured out...It would be nice if everything just worked out of the box...
My phone is back to the state it was in out of box I believe. It is telling me Shave an update. I am not sure if the first time it updated it changed something that flashing back to original will not undo. I am contemplating trying to flash the same ATT firmware that I did on my dads or just wait and see what develops over the next few days. I have flashed so many times in the last 24 hours I am not sure what is in my phone
