One of the best things about the SP3 is the ability to use it in Portrait orientation as it gives me the ability to view my entire page at once without the constant scrolling. However, it requires the Type cover to be detached from the tablet in order to do so....and thus making the Type cover completely useless.
I saw this new Logitech K480 keyboard in the shops, but the shops refused to open it to let me try it. For those who own the keyboard:
1. Can the keyboard slot fit the SP3 in landscape orientation and Portrait orientation?
2. How is the feel of the keys?
3. Can the keyboard slot fit the Sony Xperia Z Ultra in Portrait orientation?
Thank you for your kind help.
I have reviewed the K480.
http://musicphotolife.blogspot.sg/2014/10/logitech-K480-bluetooth-keyboard.html
The K480 is about the size of a 12.5-inch laptop. I don't have SP3 to test, but on the Samsung Galaxy PRO 12.2, I can only fit in portrait format. I think the maximum it can fit in lanscape is a 10-inch. Therefore, it can fit the Xperia Z Ultra.
The keyboard action is not as premium as Thinkpad, but for the price of SGD59, it is really a good value product.
I have heared Logitech is really good, not only keyboard.

External Display Support
Today's Pocket PC devices have more than enough speed, memory, connectivity and feature rich applications to serve as the principal computing device for many, if not most, computer users. The only true limitation is the ergonomics of data entry and visualization. Productivity is greatly limited by hunt and peck typing with a stylus and the tedium of scrolling large documents or spreadsheets on a tiny screen. In addition, true mobility is limited by the constant need to sync data and move documents between your Pocket PC, laptop, work and home computers. A preferred scenario would be to keep all your data in one place; in a truly mobile device that could transform itself to meet your varying ergonomic needs. NVD on a Pocket PC can do just that by supporting external video display adapters and input devices from a number of manufactures.
To date, external display adapters for Pocket PC's have been used primarily with applications like Pocket PowerPoint for presentations. The shadowing programs that come with these devices merely recreate the tiny desktop in the center of the large external display. This tiny, low resolution output coupled with the lack of a mouse pointer makes the external display is of little practical use. With NVD, the highest resolution supported by the adapter can be realized (up to 1024x768 on some adapters). NVD also adds a mouse pointer which responds to both stylus and external mouse movements. When used with a keyboard (wired or wireless), this results in resolutions and ergonomics comparable to a desktop. NVD sends video updates to the external display as they occur resulting in vastly improved performance when compared to the shadowing programs which continually refresh the entire display on an intermittent cycle.
Following is a list of the external video display adapters which are currently supported by NVD. Links have been provided to the product pages on the manufacturers' web sites. If any of these links are broken, please visit the manufacturer's home page to locate the product of interest.

so my question is ... is there a similary program out u can use for the htc touch pro ? since i would like to have higher resolutions thatn 640x480 at the tv out
thx for advice
Well, you could use RedFly.
thanks for the reply but i sure dont want to buy a extra device
there has to be a "software" way for setting the resolution up (virtualy)
like with that old nydiot program
Isn't it just a composite tv out? If so, you can't change resolutions. With my PPC (X51v), you could do that only because it was a VGA out.

Yep, that's why I suggested RedFly, because you need VGA/DVI/HDMI/Component output to have anything higher than 720x480 (which actually doesn't even go that high with composite).
So unfortunately AFAIK you do need extra hardware to do that with Touch Pro.
doh ,) .. ic oky thank you very much for the info ... i was used to my axim to didnt even think bout its a normal composite now ,)
Change PPC TV Out resolution (htc touch pro in this case)

Hi everyone,
I've had a Galaxy Tab 10.1 (the original, that is) since last June. I just picked up a GT 2 7" the other day, to use with an Eye-Fi SD card (specifically http://www.eye.fi/products/prox2). The tablet will live in a camera bag. Its sole purpose will be for reviewing photos and video from a Canon 60D for social photography scenarios (in which the tablet easily one-ups the articulating screen on the 60D).
I'm currently experimenting with BlackICE Kangorade and AOKP, however I would like to remove the clock and all icons from the lower-right corner, and center the navigation buttons on the nav bar.
I'm always interested to hear feedback on how I'll be using the tablet, but what I'd really appreciate is some guidance on making these UX modifications.
It's a shame this won't work with raw images. I'm guessing you shoot in jpeg. Nice little setup you have.

I shoot in JPEG in more casual situations, but I do shoot RAW when the quality of the end result is of vital importance. The Eye-Fi Pro card has full support for RAW images, and I plan on writing my own application for the viewing of images and videos (RAW included) on the tablet. I've worked with Canon RAW data formats in the past.
But yeah, even if I don't end up with full RAW support it will be a very nice setup indeed.
You know, you can buy a USB adapter for your tab and plug your camera. Then you can find some existing apps to visualize and to trigger you camera from your tablet.
The adapter is about $30.

Of course, I did consider that. The point of the Eye-Fi card is to do it wirelessly and automatically, and I already have it working. That functionality outweighed any wired solutions in my opinion. Any photos and videos I take are already visible in the Gallery on the tab within about forty-five seconds, no action necessary on my part.
I have tried most available PDF readers in play store, but none is capable of making the pdf to fit to screen in portrait mode. PDF file in portrait mode loses space in top and bottom of the screen in portrait mode and makes less readable, when having small fonts in the doc. also stretching the page everytime for bulky books with 400+ pages makes life tougher. is there any free app that supports this functionality? or is there any work around for this?
for info, the pdfs that i read mostly has images as well in it for illustration.
thanks
I just buy 5 MK903V Mini TV players to put in all my LG screen (for digital signage). My LG screens don't have the option to rotate the content. So i have send it from the player. I already try with 3rd party apps (screen rotations apps) but it seems that the player don't accept any configuration at all. The HDMI out from the player is 1280x 1080. And my android application forces that goes to portrait, but without not success. Does anyone one have any advice?
Thanks
