Please i want to flash my Nexus S from Slimcrespo 4.3 to Slimcrespo 4.4.2
When i do flash from sdcard ...few seconds and flash aborte.
I follow all steps in recovery...Wipe data/factory reset...Wipe cache partition...Advanced then Wipe Dalvik cache...install zip from sdcard...Choose zip from sdcard.
What's your recovery version?
You need CWM 6.0.4.3 and above...

For now use the recovery in this post: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=54472007&postcount=100
Copy it to your SD card and flash it just like a normal ROM. Then reboot again to the recovery and flash whatever KK ROM you like.
Also, don;t forget to manually wipe /system partition as you are going from 4.3 to 4.4.2
@Senior Member
I do that for TWRP but i have an error message :
Installation aborted...
So the TWRP 2..7.1.0 not installed...

Hello guys, 2 weeks, I have a problem with the recovery.
With each flash ROM, which I try to get this error:
"Assert failed: getprop ("ro,product.device") == "crespo" I I getprop ("ro.build.product") == crespo" I I getprop ("ro.product.board") "crespo"
E: Error in / sdcard/update-oxygen-2.3-NS-signed.zip
(STATUS 7) INSTALLATION ABORTED"
Why? I'm desperate
Either u installed the wrong recovery or your flashing a zip for the wrong phone. Which phone do u have? Crespo or Crespo4g?
I have Nexus S (i9023) I am trying to flash the original rom, but I have the same error..
I have the exact same error trying to flash the We Scream-b7 zip from this forum. I have the Nexus S I9020T for Tmobile.
I had the same issue, problem is that you guys are running an older version of CWM.
Just install ROM manager from the market on your phone.
Click "Flash ClockworkMod Recovery".. it will flash the newest version of CWM on your phone.
Reboot into recovery after the installation and try to flash a ROM again, and it will just work.
Have you tried reflashing manually the recovery image from fastboot mode?

No your link is for higher version of Android, i mean it is for Android 4.3 or later and these versions have not come yet. Although CM11 is out but it is beta version. So better you download BUILD 2 from the following link.

The recovery needed for flashing cm 12 is also TWRP 2.7 with modifications, so you are confused.

I'd advise you to use TWRP instead of Philz
I agree, use TWRP recovery instead, it's much better.

Which version of TWRP, unofficial or bacon?
Since I've wiped cache/dalvik and install new ROM option, the .zip files should remain on my phone memory?
