I loaded CWM v5.0.2.6 then wiped cached and dalvik cache then did a master rest. After rebooted, goes into bootloop with the tmobile s2 logo, progress bar goes all the way to the right then reboots, sometimes to the middle, sticks, then reboots and repeats. I then updated the CWM to v6.0.4.3 this morning, updated fine but told me my phone was not rooted. When I try to wipe cache, it hangs on the formatting cache (don't know if this latest CWM is compatible with the t-989?) If I try to do a reset, the recovery hangs. I have had this S2 since the S2's first came out with Tmobile. I want to install a fast kicka** rom. Just need help. Trying to learn the OS also, but for now just want to get this running. Thanks.
1.Phone is not rooted, I thought is was but CWM recovery said it wasn't
2. Boot loops while loading with Tmobile S2 logo displayed
3. Loaded CWM rocovery v5.0.2.6 When a master reset/wipe was performed with this version, it completed but still boot looped
4. Loaded CWM recovery v6.0.4.3 When trying to do a master reset/wipe cache, hangs and freezes. Will complete a Dalvik wipe though.
Mike

Hi
I have a galaxy s i9000
I just flashed my first rom, cyanogenmod 7, and it worked well.
then I flashed google apps (through clockworkmod -> install zip from sdcard), and from this point when my phone boots up, it goes in to a loop between the cyanogenmod boot screen and the google start screen ("touch the android to begin").
I tried going back in to recovery and wiping data + cache partition + dalvik cache, and reflashing just the cyanogenmod, but I can't get rid of the google apps screen and the boot-loop.
does anyone please know how I can recover from this??
Thank you
My galaxy is stuck in a strange bootloop, it stays on the 'Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1' screen, it wont go onto the boot animation, i am rooted, so i tried to go in to CWM recovery, and wipe davlik cache, partion cache and data/factory wipe, still same screen, i have no Nanroid backup as it says 'error occoured' when i try to restore it and i deleted my past Nanroid because of memory, it started when i kept getting message saying 'systemUI has stopped' so i went into CWM recovery and wiped cache, then it went in to bootloop and have been tring to get rid of it since but nothing,
Somebody PLEASE HELP ME I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Odin back to stock
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda premium
Hi Guys, Need some help please!
My P3100 had CM11 on it, and one day it stopped booting, was stuck in the Samsung logo. I got into recovery, did a factory reset\cache and dalvik wipe, but has not helped. I got into the Download mode and tried flashing the stock firmware. Odin takes 92 minutes to complete this process, and I can see "PASS" displayed, but tab still stuck in Samsung logo. Infact, when I reboot to recovery after flashing Stock rom, it still takes me the CWM recovery, while I expected to get into Stock recovery. I have also tried flashing TWRP recovery, I get a Pass message, but takes me to CWM recovery again. I have tried flashing custom ROMs from this recovery, dont get any error, but tab still wont go past the Samsung Logo. Out of ideas now, please help!
Boot into Recovery
- wipe data factory reset
- wipe cache
- wipe dalvic cache
- format system
- flash new ROM (if you flash stock ROM CWM/TWRP recovery will be overwritten during first boot)
I have tried that. Several times. The CWM recovery seems to be permanently stuck to the tab. Even if I flash twrp recovery, the flash is successful, but I go back to CWM recovery.
hi,
Recently i've updated p5100 to omnirom kitkat and i have CWM touch recovery. And also my device is not rooted.
out of the blues, my tab started auto rebooting itself. so i decided to do a factory reset to it. But i noticed nothing changed. the tab looked exactly the same. so i decided to flash a new rom (slimkat) to it. and i did. i followed the typical flashing technique through the sdcard. I cleared data, cleared partition, dalvik cache. and also flashed the new rom. but when i boot it, it remained the same old omnirom kitkat.
I did it a few times and got my tab stuck on bootload (omnirom) . i just dont get why CWM is not factory reseting the device or accepting any new rom. i even tried flashing TWRP. but no luck! so as a conclusion, my p5100 cant accept any new rom or recovery image and it cant factory reset. stuck on boot animation! but i could flash in the AROMA filemanager to it... would seriously appreciate if anyone could help me with this problem.
Thanks in advance.
I installed and flashed cm12 on my samsung galaxy s2 sgh t989 from cwm recovery and it was successful. After some time i had to check some things in developers options and there was something like that said update recovery with the cyanogemod updates and I checked it or turned it on, and then after a day I decided to go back to my original rom that I had backed up, which was CM11. So I went into recovery but it wasnt cwm recovery it was cyanogen recovery and it was useless because it didnt have restore or backup options, but then I accidently click delete cache parition or whatever its called. After that I rebooted my phone from the recovery but it didnt boot instead it took me to cyanogen recovery. I tried to wipe and delete all user data and some other options that i thought might help and then reboot but stills takes me to cyanogen recovery. I tried flashing cm12 and gapps that i had in sdcard but wontfinish to complete and then it takes me to the recovery. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
Should be able to find a flash-able zip for CWM (for this device) and flash it in CM recovery, then your backup will be waiting for you.. If things were that easy though...
