Hello everybody !
Like everyone knows, last week we had a pretty good news, the HTC Sensation is officialy supported by MIUI for the V4.
And ice on the cake, this come the 29 february !
But what about a little mod ? Isn't it sad that we only take the official update and no more fun with dev on MIUI ?
So i had an idea. What about making a minimal MIUI ROM ("MiniMIUI") where we take away all unnecessary stuffs and and with a minal theme ?
If you want to have an idea of what i'm talking about, it's a little bit the same idea as HyperSensation from Kris, a CyanogenMod minial ROM.
Saddly, i'm not a dev. But i'm in Android business for like 3 years now, flashing ROM like an addict. So, i'm thinking about having a team for it. And i can be the main tester since i have pretty good knowledge about Android (and specially MIUI).
And i'm in design, i can do some goodies btw (like wallpaper, ring, etc...)
So, are you interessted in project ? I want your feedback ! And most of all, i'm searching :
- 1 or 2 dev
- 1 or 2 themer that can make our minal mtz theme
Let's the fun begin !

Won't scott or another miui dev have to translate it anyways before english users can even make the 'official' usable?

Yes it's true, but when we have the official one with the traduction in english by miui.us, we can do this job (that's how i imagine my idea)
Well it sounds good for sure ! I would gladly follow you on this one. I cant dev myself.
Considering making a langue pack for the rom, started making abit already.

If you can link me some very usefull and noobproof guide's im very willing to help? I already have adb fully installed btw and know a few things about it and how to use
Hey we have some new members !
kristofpetho for the dev, we couldn't hope better for a minimal ROM
And hinderbrus for the icons and bootanimation !
We must find now someone who want to do the whole theme (without icons and animations)

Hello,
Im trying to develop my own ROM. I created a github account and forked some repos.

Added some stuff and made changes.
But i need "android_frameworks_base" ofcourse, can i just fork it from CM and what changes do i have to make?

Hi. Sorry but my Framework Base was as it as from CarbonDev repository... nothing changed. "Only" thing that @$droyd$ teach me was a correction to compile Carbon for ville without Linaro toolchain.
Now I am in trouble to retrieve carbon ville repos, and eventually port to 4.3.
I'm a beginner and a lot to learn about it...

Judging by your Github Yes.. You will have to fork CM... Be carefull as a lot of things you add in settings have to have a frameworks counter part or 2 of 2 ... Youll know when you compile .. It will error.
AOKP Port for ace plus since it's an amazing rom

What i think is this is Development section
& if you are discussing about something then General as well as Q/A section is there...
will probably give proper feedback to you there but now this thread is not at proper place ...

if you are porting it from the scratch then you dont need to explain anything to anyone
but you have to provide the download link so that this thread will remain in dev section otherwise any one can report this thread to mod!!!

good problems solved
Couple of questions of your port..
what kernel have you used the old 2.6 or ?
have you compiled from source if so can we see to learn
Is there any problems with it ..ie is everything working ,flash camera bluetooth

no I don't know how to built so its just the 2.6. and its isn't stable so haven't uploaded
will you implement some of the fixes that the mini 2 has implemented already? or its not possible?

From what i understood from his comments i thought he is porting aokp to TheWhisp's CM
isn't it the same as paranoid or slimbean? (a custom rom)

Many things. Only the imagination is your limit.
U have CPU,GPU governors, throttling, and many more kernel features. Just google it.
