hello together,
I have a 4gb memory and 1gb ram wiko bloom.
This unit is identical to the Micromax Unite 2 and I've tested all roms I could find in the forum here. They also work all, but with a limitation the ram is only 512mb. do you have an idea how to support fully ram with 1gb?

Hello All,
I have started this thread as I couldn't find relevant info anywhere else. I purchased a Galaxy R 2 days back. As mentioned in the specifications on the box, the device has 1gb RAM and 8 gb internal storage along with 2gb ROM. However, when I check my device, it shows only 768 MB of RAM. Again internal storage shows to be only 3.75 GB and not 8 GB. Please comment.
If a similar thread exists, please merge, I couldn't find one.

yep I don't know how it should be (of cours beside RAM becouse its ok) but I have just like you in mine...

8gb internal storage and u'll get 3.75gb..
if u wanna check again.. try it on SGSII 16gb.. only 12gb is usable for user..
so meaning almost 4gb of storage will be used up by android or samsung touchwiz? not sure though.. maybe some1 can explain better than me.
and the ram also the same. hope this help!
A lot of space is reserved/used by Android. You do not see it because an unrooted device does not have access to that area. Buy a cheap 32 gb sd card.

The SAMSUNG Specs for HK is User Memory: 8GB (ROM: 512MB ; RAM: 1GB)
The user memory includes RAM and ROM as well.
Internal USB Storage 3.75GB+ Internal Device Storage 1.5 GB+ RAM 1 GB. max (256 MB for GPU)+ ROM 512MB Usable (Max 2GB)
Can it be like above case? I saw some reviews and posts around the web saying like this. I am not sure, and someone can give more deep insights.

Galaxy R specifications:
- 1GB of RAM (256MB for the GPU, 768MB are free).
- 8GB of internal storage (2GB ROM, 2GB for applications and 4GB as mass storage).

I have a karbonn A15, it is a good phone with android 4.0.4 and promises 512 mb ram, yesterday i checked my ram and found it to be only 396 mb. pls help me, i want to gift it to my dad(it is new), but after seeing the ram, i don't feel like presenting it. any ideas? and i can't return it as i bought it for a distant place on vacation..

Sad, but that's the truth. Only 396MB RAM!
That RAM does a decent job, if lot of apps is not installed.
Ram is 512 mb but some of it is used for graphics processing..I guess......it is a decent phone I'm currently using it with no problems

I would like to know is there any way to Fake ram size like which is in Settings/apps/running.....my friends are using 2GB ram device & I am using 1GB ram device...So is there any way to change the 1GB ram to make it look like 3GB..etc
I saw so many clone/replica android devices showing Fake Ram sizes..even antutu benchmark can't recognize Fake ram info....how to do it...??I have rooted and i know basics to edit xml files,decompile, recompile...Please help

It's just a game but what I wanted was something like changing the system wide Ram to a fake value ram...like 1GB ram to 4GB ram.....there are many Samsung replica/clone which show 2GB Ram but true ram is 512MB....how do they do it....I need to do it like that....any help guys...??

ROM: Read Only Memory
RAM: Random Access Memory
ROM: Storage. It's where you store all your data like music, photos, videos, games, movies, documents etc. It's often known as Internal Storage.
RAM: It's only accessible by the phone. The more RAM you have, the faster your device should be. It's often called "Memory".
A device with 64GB ROM and 4GB RAM should be faster than a device with 32GB ROM and 3GB RAM.
