Flashed the OTA Snapshot M10 update last night and My nexus 5 just keeps rebooting. :crying:
The boot logo just finishes then there is a system ui error then reboots.
2 days ago I accidentally deleted the "backup" ROM, is there anyway other than ADB to push another rom to the internal storage ??????
FYI I am a noob when it comes to this things but I did buy a nexus so I can learn things like this so anything you can teach me would be greatly appreciated

M10 was forked from the 9/9 nightly. If you had a newer nightly it caused the problem.

Ok before i start, i would like to tell you that i had previous experiences with roms and whatnot on my Atrix 4g. Ok here's my problem: I recently unlocked my bootloader and flashed cwm recovery on my XT1032 Moto G. I saw that cyanogenmod 11 came out for it. I made a backup and flashed it , Factory/data reset and cleared cache. My phone is now in a boot loop. I am about to restore it now, but you see i hate stock roms. Any help?

Thats strange. Did you tried TWRP? I consider it far superior as a recovery.
Yes, Yes

Yes i have considered that. I have flashed it but it was really hard to use, probably bugs. In the end, after frustratingly touching my phone, still goes into a bootloop D:

It seems you will have to conform with stock by now. But use stock rooted, and Xposed, and you should have a lot of customization that way.
Also, are you using JB or KK bootloader?
ARGH

Here's a nice guide
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=47820707
I recommend you the retail US 4.4.2 firmware.
Were you on 4.4.2 or 4.3 before you flashed CM?

what this guy said, you should make sure you go from 4.4.2 to cyanogenmod 11 otherwise you will get no joy. put your phone in recovery, flash 4.4.2, you will find a build in the threads, and then install cyanogen , should work like a charm
I have tried to install CyanogenMod 13 alpha on my Moto G (XT-1032)
Now I'm on infinite loop, but on TWRP trying to wipe everything but the Internal Storage, it's taking too long and doing nothing, is there another way to wipe data and cache? ( I was with old TWRP)

I think I never messed around with that since I never read about it...
The latest version of TWRP is available here. It sounds like it might be worth flashing / reflashing it.

Change the version of your twrp or it could be that when you download the zip some file doesn't download correct.

Hi,
XT1039: bootloader unlocked, rooted, stock rom 4.4.4
TO: nightly
Flashed 4118 bootloader, as detailed in http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto...tions-t2996087
It was successful.
Followed https://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_peregrine
unlocked bootloader
installed cm-recovery from here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=peregrine
tried to flash cm, got a bootloader error,
followed this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59520890&postcount=233
Now using bootloader 411A
flashed cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-peregrine.zip
from here: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?type=nightly&device=peregrine
now the phone is stuck at the boot screen.
So I flashed twrp recovery, successful and reflashed cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-peregrine.zip
I tried several different guides that included all sorts of cache deletion and format orders but the result is still the same
(I am not using an sdcard but only the internal storage.)
After rebooting, the phone is stuck on the Cyanogenmod boot icon (blinking cat face) since past half hour.
Please guide how to debug/recover.
fastboot and recovery are working
Thanks,
[edit:]
The cm-13.0-20160121-NIGHTLY-peregrine.zip was transferred by mounting the internal storage on the PC and copying it manually. Just in case this matters

Thanks for the reply, but the goal is to get cyanogenmod on my phone. How does the stock rom help me with that??
Just for testing, I have installed the stock rom to see if it works and it does. I now have a Motorola Android 5.1 on my phone. But thats not what I wanted.
Anyone having any idea how to make cyanogenmod work?

Just to restoring a kernel on it...after restoring one, go to TWRP, make your wipes and flash again your CM

WOW Thank you very much, its working
Maybe you can also explain to my why installing the custom rom mattered, since I wiped everything before installing cm again, I would assume there is nothing of the stock rom left on the device.

Not really able to explain...sometimes sh*t happens...
But this procedure works almost every time.
Surely due to your bootloader error after your first flash with CM recovery...something was broken...
Most important, now, it's working...Enjoy
I install cm but google play is not working and sallular data also not working.. Plz any one help me please..
Hello,
I tried flashing a PA 6.0.1 rom onto my rooted kitkat via TWRP and stuck in a boot loop. Since I havent flashed my phone in a long time, am I missing something? my OPO has a custom kitkat kernel.

I think they asked you flash the latest cm nightly first to get the modem/firmware/what-have-you.

They didnt, but I went ahead and update firmware before installing PA and gapps and still the same issue.
Edit: I seem to have fixed the issue
Thanks tho!
