[Completed] PLEASE HELP Note 2 wont boot past Samsung screen! - XDA Assist

Hey everyone, 1st off thanks to all the great people here that take there time to help and give back, much love and respect!
Can the mods or powers that be move this thread to the right place to get help or direct some experts over here.
So i have a Note 2, i was using it last night, and it just froze! So i waited and waited, nothing! I tried to power down, nothing, so i popped the battery out and it restarted and stayed at "Samsung Galaxy Note II"
I tried many many times to restart and power down, still come back to the same result!
My phone is:
Note 2 SGH-T899V (wind mobile)
I downloaded odin v3.09, i loaded samsung drivers, i downloaded T889VVLUDNE7 from sammobile.
I put phone in download mode, attached cable loaded file from odin(clicked and unclicked all the correct boxes) and everything "Passed" on odin
Phone reset and got stuck again on Samsung screen. So i
Pull out the battery, wait for about 1 minute and then put the battery back in its place.
Boot the device into Stock Recovery mode by holding down Volume Up, Center(menu) button and Power keys till the Samsung logo appears.Use the volume keys to scroll and power keys to select recovery menu options.
From the menu, wipe data by selecting wipe data/factory reset option followed by wipe cache partition. Finally reboot the system by selecting reboot system now.
and still it is stuck in Samsung screen.
I then installed CWM 6.4.3 with no problems, went into recovery wiped user and cache and installed zip from sd card. It would try and then "INSTALLATION ABORTED"
Re Downloaded zip tried again, same thing "INSTALLATION ABORTED"
Flashed CF Auto root, then went into recovery and tried to install from zip and "signature verification failed"
flashed CWM again, tried install "installation aborted"
Guys where am i going wrong, or what step did i miss? Please help!!!

Hi there,
I had a look around the Note 2 Q&A section for you and couldn't find the same specific issue. I'd suggest asking in the Galaxy Note II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting for further help.
I think it may be an error to do with mounting the /system, this would explain why you can't boot or flash anything as they are both related to /system.
So it may be worth mentioning that as well!
Good luck!

Pls help!!! Battery mod bricked my phone :( PLS!!

Hey guys
I have a Samsung Galaxy S. Last week I tried installing a battery icon and after installation, it rebooted my phone. It's now stuck giving me the message titled, "Factory Test Failed" w/ error,"no package was found that provides the factory_test action‏" I have the "Confirm" button, but everytime I click it, the same msg pops up again. This happens after the Galaxy and rogers logo loads. I tried going to recovery mode and clean up my user data and cleaned up the internal SD, but nothing seems to work.
I don't have my USB in debugging mode, so I am not sure if Odin is going to work on it. Any help? I did upgrade it to 2.2.
You may have to reflash 2.2 to get everything back to stock and/or do a factory reset within recovery if you can
You crashed your phone - try to reinstall the software.

[Q] Phone issues after flashing Gapps.zip

My friend has a Captivate. He lost all his google apps, android market, gmail, etc. He flashed gapps.zip from his recovery and now his phone is not working right. When he flashed a new rom to his phone, and it brought up the welcome screen it shows it for about 2 seconds and then reboots. He is also almost unable to access the recovery becuase of this, but even when he finally was able to access it and wipe everything, dalvik, cache, data/system, it still has issues. Nothing is fixing the issues from the gapps.zip. He was wondering if there is a way to wipe his entire phone from a update.zip file. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Please note that even when he wipes everything in recovery and flashes a new ROM, it still reboot on the welcome screen and he is unable to resolve this issue.
Ok, so he has now wiped all cache and system files, now instead of showing teh galaxy S logo with the cyanogen logo underneath, it shows just the AT&T screen, but it will not go any furhter, it just sits there. He says that because he is now unable toget into android he cannot access the recovery and the volume up/down is not responding. Is his phone Bricked?
Have you used Odin 1-click to revert back to stock?
had my friend use the Odin 1 click and he said it still did not work. He cannot get the volume up/down trick to work, when before all this it worked just fine. I am going to guess that the only thing he could try is the jig method. He swaers that Odin3 is not doing anything

Flashing Problem with ClockWorkMod on SGS2

Hi guys, I recently trying to root the SGS2 with ClocworkMod 4.0.1.5..during my 1st try, The update was unsuccessful because when i used the Odin, the progress bar stopped...already waiting for like 15 minutes, no progress...wait for another 15, no progress also..so I decided to unplug it, close the Odin, and changed the USB port to another port, restart Odin, and I got it working to flash it (Odin display PASS)..However, the problem starts now, I cannot get pass the blackscreen of my SGS2 to go to the splash screen. I tried going to Recovery Mode, but i cannot do anything. I tried wiping the data, cache, and even trying to change the firmware, but no avail. Recovery mode always give error cannot mount the appropriate file..any help with this?

[Q] Samsung galaxy S4 stuck in bootloop

Hi all, I recently got a second hand Samsung galaxy S4 (GT-I9505) as a gift from a friend. I realized it had a problem that every time I went on certain applications especially settings I'd get a warning saying 'Unfortunately,'said app(settings)' has stopped.' I decided to factory reset my phone using the 'volume up, home button and power key' and I also wiped cache and even rebooted it, yet the problem still persists. Now when I try to turn on my phone and I get onto the set-up page when I try to press next it says 'Unfortunately settings has stopped' and takes me back to the start which I believe is called a boot-loop, I'm not sure though. I'm not to sure how my friend managed to get the phone to this state before he gave it to me and I think it may have either been that he downloaded a faulty application or that he tried to update the phone and then this problem occurred. Now I'm not too experienced when it comes to Custom Roms and things but I heard there is a solution which requires you to press the volume down and power key in order to download a Custom Rom but I'm not sure how I'll download one without the help of my phone(which remains in the boot-loop). And I'm also 100% sure that no Roms have been downloaded on the phone ever.
Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance

I think downloading and flashing the rom from a computer would be easier. Just download the correct files from sammobile and flash them via Odin. Also you will need Samsung drivers, you can get them by installing kies or if you search here in the forums im pretty sure you'll find them too.

Help Get My P5110 Working Again!

Hi all. Hoping someone can finally help me get my Galaxy Tab 2 working again.
A few years ago I decided to root it and install CyanoGenMod. It worked much faster after that and everything was fine. Then one day out of the blue I turned the tablet on and it eventually loaded to the home screen but it was messed up. A few seconds later the Tab 2 reboots itself and this just repeats over and over.
If I go into recovery mode I get the message "installing system update" for less than a second and then it changes to "no command" and eventually a message loads:-
# MANUAL MODE #
-- Appling Multi-CSC ...
Applied the CSC-code : BTU
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/others.xml (No Data Available)"
If I try selecting the wipe cache partition option, it will try for a second or two and then shows error and reboots.
If I try the wipe data/factory reset option, it says the data has been wiped but the Android logo in the background changes to say 'error' underneath it. It then powers itself off. Turning it on brings up the boot loop as before with the messed up home screen appearing for a few seconds before it reboots. So it doesn't appear to be wiping any data at all.
Can anyone offer any assistance on how to get this working again please? I would be forever grateful.

See the best way to get out of this is to install the stock Samsung firmware using the ODIN tool.
Then if you ever wish to install a custom rom again you can do as you like. Hope this helps. If you are require assistance, feel free to reply to this conversation.
I have tried a few times to flash the stock firmware with ODIN but it would either install the whole thing but it actually didn't work, or the install would crash part way through.
Unless there is some error with the stock firmware I've found online, is there a link to the proper one that I can download from somewhere? Or a specific version of ODIN that is needed for it to work?
