[Q] Flashing rom 4.2.2 with radio FM [bootloader unlocked] - Sony Xperia L

As the title says I would like flash a rom 4.2.2 if possible stock UI, for bootloader unlocked.
All this is to recover the function of FM radio.
If anyone has any idea how to do this, I would greatly appreciate you provide details or links on how to do.
Stay tuned and I appreciate any information.

The custom roms based on JB 4.2.2 support FM Radio. You can download and install them. And if you want stock rom then flash the latest ftf using flashtool.
You can find the instructions for installing on the rom thread itself, just look for the rom in the development section.
Hit thanks if it helped

You will find them in the development section, there are lots of them. Depends on what features do you want in that rom.
Try these
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-l/development/rom-xperia-l-clean-n-tweaked-15-3-0-26-t2419042

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2669513
and there's one Resurrection rom too.
Best of luck

[Q] Need Rom that can Overclock.

Okay guys hear me out, sorry if this is in the wrong section of the forums, I'm currently rooted on the stock build I believe, my specs are as follows: Build Number: JROO3C.WW_epad-10.4.2.13-20120907. Android Version: 4.1.1. I rooted to remove bloatware, and whatnot, but now I want to overclock, and it can't be done with the kernal I have I guess, Stock rom doesn't support it, So I'm on a quest to find a working rom for my build that has been tested and working properly, I have the TWRP recovery I think it's called. And if you haven't guessed my device is Asus TF300T. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll be around waiting for a response, so if you need any other question answered or need more info I'll be around, Thanks for all the help.

SO your TF300T is unlocked ?
Apparently, you have the TWRP recovery.
And you want a rom that can overclock ?
So you have several roms, but the best you can do, it's to click to my sig > index for the TF300t, and you will find all roms based on stock and others based on Cyanogen.
The best thing that you can do is to read a little, choose 2 or 3 roms that you find interesting, and try one after one (one week per rom) and you will choose the best rom for you. It will be your choice.

Yes it's unlocked, and thanks, going to try the Hydro rom I suppose. Are the Cyanogen roms compatible with what I'm running? TWRP and Stock JB?

Hydro ROM does not have CPU OC, I think jb blue and [email protected] has overclock. Latest CM 10 is compatible with jellybean boot loader and latest TWRP.

[Q] ROM's and Rooting

Hi This might be a question that has been answered already or no. I've been browsing through the site and ready on ROM's and stuff. I just wanted to ask how to identify if a Custom rom is stable already and if there is a way to know without trying the rom first. I am scared of rooting my phone because I am afraid that I might brick my phone and if so is there different ways or just a standard way to do like S-off/S-On and flashing a rom.
Phone: HTC Sensation
ROM: Stock ICS Rom 4.0.3

To identify the custom rom you need to flash it yourself and then judge it .But most of the JB rom like viperS/revelation especially Sense 5 is the latest and stable one ..
Also Before rooting and flashing custom rom you need to first Unlock bootloader and then flash recovery after that rooting and flashing roms..
No need to S-OFF , you will find it difficult (Wire Trick).
A great guide can be found HERE just skip the HBoot-S-OFF part and follow other instruction ..

Sorry for having such a lot of questions. Any particular Rom you would suggest. I just use basic stuff like gmail, txtplus app, and some games. A black based design would be perfect. Thanks in advance for the suggestion.

Please provide your exact device name and model.
There are so many different HTC Sense devices available.
Here is a nice thread about the HTC One M8: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2701376.

Hmm ... check this threads about Lollipop for your device: HTC One (M8) Lollipop Threads.
There are many custom Lollipop ROMs for your device, e.g. [ROM][28-1]SD v 33 |4.16.401.10|1st ANDROID 5.0+Sense Rom|SDkernel|SDHub|Best Batt..
And I found a stock rooted GPE ROM here: [ROM][5.0.1] 12/7/2014-Lollipop Stock Rooted Google Play Edition LXR22C.H5.
And here is a guide how to flash the GPE ROM: [GUIDE] [S-OFF] Update from Almost Anything to Official Developer Edition Lollipop.
Good luck !

[Q] Locked Boot Loader, Can I Still Install ROMs?

So I had to downgrade from 5.0.2 in order to install KK+Root+SU But is it possible to install ROMs if the boot loader is locked? God, this sounds like a very silly question. If anybody could shed some light on my lack of knowledge I'd be very grateful.

With a locked boot you cannot install anything that relies on a custom kernel. So no CM, AOSP, BP, DU AOKP etc....
Basically, you can only install stock (i.e sony xperia stock) based ROMs

[HELP] How to Update SGH-i896 2.3.3 to 4.0.3

To the best of my knowledge there is no official 4.03 for the i896 (or the i897 that I have.) There are 4.x.x roms for both devices that run on the 2.3.3 (i896) and 2.3.5 (i897) bootloaders. In fact the devs have created/ported roms all the way to 5.1.1.
Are you on the stock 2.3.3 rom for the i896 or a custom rom?
Are your bootloader and modem at version 2.3.3 / KH2?
Is your device rooted?
Do you have a custom recovery installed?
Is there a specific rom you are wanting to flash?
Currently I am using a custom rom based on android 4.2.2. My Captivate is not being used as a phone, I use it as a media player and sports/activity tracker.

I just want to flash 4.0.3 or above.
I do some google but I only got results for your device(i897), I dont know if that procedure will work on my device(i896).

This thread 【Guide】How To flash ANY Captivate ROM from Stock (including ICS) will start you in the direction you need to go. The poster says:

Since you are rooted but on stock recovery you can start at step 7 of the Odin method. That will give you a custom recovery which will allow you to flash the custom roms that come as zip files for flashing from a custom recovery. OR, you could start at the beginning of the Heimdall method.
After you get CWM recovery on your phone you will need to flash the ROM of your choice. Do you have a specific rom in mind? If not you can check through the Captivate Development sub-forum

Based on TRusso's thread that I quoted and linked above ROMs for the i897 will work on the i896. Of course, I have no way of testing since I have an i897 instead of an i896. I just searched the thread you linked, and found this.
Is there a particular reason you are seeking an ICS ROM and not something newer? (JB or KK)

I'm not sure how GApps affect wifi and sound.
You could try GApps from a different source: OpenGapps, Bank Gapps, CM GApps, Slim GApps, etc.
Make sure you use a GApps for Android 4.3. After installing it may take a while to update to newer Google Services Framework versions.
