Hi,
I was running a Cyanogenmod 11 and I decided to want to get back to the original stock. I was try to go trough the "How to Restore HTC One X to Stock Rom" tutorial, but that didn't work, I tried to install the wrong RUU (3.14.401... but im forgot that I am already at 3.18.401) so installer did not finished I got the "wrong version error" and since then its a nightmare! :crying:
I tried to install cyanogenmod back but I can't I tried to install CWM and TWRP just the PhilZ touch 6 (PhilZ Touch 6.19.3/CWM 6.0.4.7)
After that, I wiped everything in PhilZ, but now the SDCard won't mount to transfer over the ROM and Gapps. Specifically, it comes up with the error: /storage/sdcard0: Shared-Unmounted
I have also tried adb but the device isn't found when using adb devices or adb shell. I tried to refresh the drivers I have the latest android, htc and google drivers (HTC sync, ADK tools, Google USB drivers)
I tried to install a new firmware but its failed every times, I tried to get super cid or S-ON but I cant access to my phone every time when i tried to use adb I got just the "devices not found" error
When I tried to mount it, it appears in device manager as 'One' with a yellow triangle, but otherwise it just appears as unknown device. Auto installing HTC MTP Device failes every time if i connect my phone to the PC while it is in the bootloader loop...
I am really appreciate any help as I'm no expert and there's nothing left I can do. Please help me I am working on it for more than a week I red at least a hundred article/forum about this issue... and now I bacame really depressed. :crying::crying::crying:
Thanks in advance!
Chris

I received this phone and it would boot to just the HTC screen. It will boot to the bootloader screen and I can access it with fastboot.
The filesystem seems to be locked down and I don't know how to unlock it. ADB won't work since it won't boot the OS. It also wouldn't boot into the stock recovery. When I try to boot into Amon Ra recovery, it shows the progress bar on the upper right side of the screen but then goes on into a boot loop. So parts of Amon Ra are being installed and working but not much.
At first it would boot to the HTC screen and sit there. I installed 605.2 via the PH98IMG.zip on SD method and it went along fine.
Now it just gets to the HTC screen and reboots like it has no or the wrong kernel. I unlocked the bootloader, flashed amon ra and it won't boot into recovery either. I tried to erase several things, it will only let me erase "cache" not "boot", "recovery" or "system. So I'm stuck until I find out how to allow writing to these areas of the system. It also doesn't read the files in light green in boot loader mode like it should.
I think if I can get s-off I can write over what I want, but I don't know how to downgrade or where to find the files. I tried RUU_Vigor_3.14.605.10_PH98IMG but that didn't help, it just gave me an error for trying to downgrade.
I am sure if I can get access to the complete file system I can get this thing going.

At this moment, the phone does not start. Still see T-Mobile Logo. Nowhere is the software that needs RUU T-Mobile PL version such as above. Any other RUU doesn't work. ANY. I downloaded "RUU_Saga_TMO_PL_1.47.118.4_Radio_20.28I.30.085AU_3805.06.02.03_M_release_206156_signed", but this also don't work because it's older than I have.
I tried to do this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318919, but stops at this point: Modifying the version of your phone. I can't do this: Connect the phone using USB cable using "Charge ONLY" and USB Debugging is ON, because my phone doesn't start up. And everything stops at this point: "adb shell chmod 777 /data/local/tmp/misc_version". I see information: "There is no such direction". Anyone Can help me? In this moment I can't do anything and flash any RUU or any ROM. I can't start up my phone.
Take your IMEI number out off that straight away unless you want your phone being cloned!

so you mean that you already did it unlocking your bootloader then already installing custom recovery like 4ext or CMW right..?
if so...you can installing any custom rom (just choice rooted stock rom or closely like stock rom but already rooted) and flashing boot.img too after that (no needed to flashing boot.img again if you already using 4ext recovery and enabling smartflash from there)..
after your phone back booting normal again..then you can continued step to downgrade process for gaining s-off..that's just if you needed it..
hope this can help..
It's working Many many thanks!!!
Hi I just wanted to try the Maximus HD 10 and thought I did what was expected but something went wrong and now the phone is totally blank.. I am new to this but read alot in this forum before I began and I am used to computers etc. so I gave it a shot.. This is what I did:
Installed the Windroid Universal Toolkit to unlock the phone, and that went well. Then followed the instructions to install the Maximus HD 10 which also went well until I had to install the newer firmware.. From here things went really bad and after a lot of different wipes and things that I don't know anything about I am stuck with an useless device
I have searched all forums (I think) but with no luck, so if anyone know what I should do I would be really thankful.
And no.. I do not have a backup!!

Fastboot can communicate with the phone but ADB devices will not find the phone.
If I reboot the phone I only see the HTC start screen for a few seconds and then nothing.. It has TWRP on it which I can enter.
Please help me!
If you have TWRP you might download any ROM and flash it but since you're S-On don't forget to flash kernel in fastboot mode after you flash the ROM.
Kernel is the boot.img file on the root of the ROM zip. Extract it to PC and while in fastboot issue the "fastboot flash boot boot.img" command.
For changing firmware you need S-Off which you don't have. To gain it you should flash first a close to stock ROM (like Viper for ex) then try to gain S-Off with rumrunner or another method. Then you can flash firmwares

Don't forget to do that after every ROM flash. If you'll get S-Off, you won't need to do that anymore

Hello,
I will try to explain what happened, although I am not sure... I tried to root my phone so I can do a data recovery as I lost all data... at this stage phone still rooted fine, no contacts, no sms, no nothing... it looked like a factory reset.
1. I used htcdev to unlock bootloader
2. I flashed recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.6-m4.img to try and load the superuser.zip to root my phone... I tried several zips, but none of them rooted it... I had to use adb through: cmd C:\Program Files (x86)\HTC\HTC Sync Manager\HTC Sync>, at this stage phone still booted normally and no problems... so I used adb push to install zips to root it... none of them worked...
3. I realized that it might be the clockwork recovery that is the problem, so I decided to change the recovery to TWRP... and this when something went wrong as the phone wouldn't reboot into normal mode anymore, only bootloader... I though giving it a factory reset would solve the issue, so I did... nothing happened...
4. I managed to flash twrp-2.8.7.0-m4.img recovery and discovered that there is no OS and basically apart from the bootloader theres nothing else on the phone...
I understand that I need to do a RUU flash, however I cannot find the one I need. I followed this thread, however I cannot seem to find the RUU that I need
http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...-official-stock-sense-6-rom-firmware-t2817921
I also tried fastboot flash zip sense6_firmware.zip, it cannot do it... gives me a fail error...
and now I am stuck as adb doesnt work to push files from either the unlock folder, nor the htc sync one or C:\Program Files (x86)\Android\android-sdk\platform-tools>
This is my first root attempt (maybe I shouldn't do one and won't in the future ) as you can see, but maybe I am just missing something very obvious and easy...
I'd like to get the original soft back on the phone but even if its still stored on it, I don't know how to get to it and make it work...

Looks like we have the same version... Honestly, I spent so much time on trying to S-off it and fix it, I think I'll just give up... I found a UK based service that does it for £20... not sure it's worth the time and effort to fix it ourselves... if you're UK based, msg me and I'll give you the details if you're interested!
Hi there, if you unlock the boot loader you will wipe all data from your phone. You confirmed that with the swipe to agree unlock. Recover your data might be difficult but you can give it a try even from Recovery itself.
The easiest way to get your phone back to work is the appropriate RUU for it, but with unlocked boot loader and TWRP booted you can try to put the ROM via USB on the Phone. Flash it via TWRP and since you where S-ON you need to flash the boot.img for your chosen ROM manually the same way you did it for recovery (fastboot flash boot boot.img). If your boot.img does not do well with your ROM you will get into a boot loop. hope this helps.
Hi everyone,
I have been searching for hours and hours to find a solution to my issue. While there is an invalueable amount of information on this forum, the vast quantity can be confusing to NOOBs like myself. Please forgive me if this has already been asked but I did not see anyone discuss a situation such as mine.
I have an AT&T HTC One with the following info that became stuck on the "HTC" logo and then turns off after trying a manual update. To be honest, I am not sure what firmware was attempted to be flashed because I didnt do it myself. I am just trying to help a friend here.
From what I gather, I need to either root the phone using WeakSauce and then try to unlock the bootloader via the HTCDev website. The problem is the phone doesnt boot for me to install weaksauce so I cant get root. Can someone kindly point me in the right direction?
NOTES:
1. HTC Sync does not recognise my device - No phone connected
2. I can enter fastboot and see my device info in fastboot mode (command prompt)
3. The command (adb devices) shows no devices in the list
4. I believe USB debugging was never enabled when the phone was working.
Please, any help will be very much appreciated.

Anyone???...Please
As I mentioned before, this forum is like a gold mine for information. The only catch is, you have to spend hours upon hours to look for what you want to accoplish - don't expect anyone to help you even if it is a simple solution - I learned this the hard way!.
I wish someone had simply pointed to me that all I needed to do was flash the stock RUU (Hboot 2.18, Firmware 5.18 At&t) while the phone was in "fastboot USB". The device must me recognised as "Android ADB Composite Device" in device manager.
That's it! My phone is up and running now!
Note: My device bootloader was locked with S-ON and no USB debugging enabled.
