Hi everyone -- Has anyone found a working rotary lockscreen with the correct transparency settings? I found the "android.policy.jar" file attached and it works, it creates the rotary lockscreen, but it's fully transparent.
I'd like to get it to where it's transparent enough to see my current wallpaper, but not all the widgets and whatnot. It just looks sloppy as it is right now (screenshot attached showing what i mean).
Any help from the better themers among us?
Thanks!!!

Sorry -- I should have done everyone the courtesy of saying what I'm running.
I'm running a Stock Sense 2.1 ROM, de-odexed, with much of the Sense elements removed. Basically a ROM of my own design.
So unfortunately I'm not sure if what I posted will work on CM6 -- but give it a shot!
ADB push it to /system/framework as "android.policy.jar" and attempt to boot.
REMEMBER to backup before any modification! I'm not responsible bla bla bla
I would like to get this lockscreen up and running on 2.2.
I have did some research and seen that it has been done on this 2.2 ROM here.
I have tried pulling the android.policy.jar from that ROM to no success. Can anybody help get this up and going on the Incredible running 2.2??
Here is a picture of it running on 2.2 also.
I got it working on 2.1. I have tried to get it working on 2.2 ever since SkyRaider 1.0 and had no luck. Send me the android.policy.jar from UD and I will take another crack at it. I have never found a froyo Rom where it was working.

Touchpro you are the man, you never cease to amaze me my friend!, how the heck did you get the rotary lock screen working!? is there anyway you could get that working on the stock 2.1 ROM I couldn't seem to get it to work.

If this is working on Froyo.. can you post a link?
Any link to the working 2.2 version?
I too am wondering if the 2.2 version will be released. I would love this!
Ultimate Droid 8 runs this lockscreen on froyo.
http://forums.blackdroidmod.com/ind...3-ultimate-droid-froyo-exteme-800-incredible/
Shouldn't be too hard to use it with other roms as well.
+1 - I'd like to see this on 2.2.
What I want to know is, what is the music player you're using in that screenshot? The only one I've found that shows on the lockscreen is Mixzing...which costs money. I do however think the rotary lockscreen is awesome.
so throw me a bone
now im all new at this but is this rotary lockscreen able to be run on stock incredible or rooted and custom roms running i do like this design so let me knoe

The rotary lock screen is from Android 2.0. In 2.1, it was switched to the slide to unlock screen which is what is also in Froyo. In order to put the rotary lock screen back, it requires modifying the framework which requires root access.

You don't have give up the clock; just the alarms. There's nothing special about them anyhow. The vanilla desk clock gives you the same functionality.

I know, I know. And I'm sure I could port the sounds over. I ran your SR Vanilla ROM for a couple weeks and switched to your Sense version after deciding I just like it better - and one of the reasons (as silly as it sounds) was the clock/alarm look and sound.
I was wondering if talented themers or someone with the knowledge could update this method to work with current roms such as CM6.1?

I know there are apps such as lockbot that can change the lockscreen background, but I dont want to replace my lockscreen, I like the default one that comes with CM. I just need a method to change only the background wallpaper. Anyone up for this?
edit: ignore the "*rate" I dont know why that is there
it's impossible. others and myself have asked god knows how many times and always the same answer. it's impossible to do on the stock lockscreen, which sucks.

But I thought that CM uses stericson's lock screen? I think I remember seeing it in the changelog a while back, I could be wrong
Why not, should be possible in CM...
probably not exactly the old way, but one could add the background to the proper xml, compile framework and then you just morph the background what u want.
If I'm not mistaken, the Sense ROMs have this capability, which sucks for anybody using Stock / AOSP.
I would think CM had a built in method of doing this by now....
Well, I guess no one knows how to do this? =(

Hi all,
I tried searching the forums and google on this but couldn't find an answer.
I've included a picture just to give you guys a visual. (Guess I can't show you since I'm a noob)
It's the dot(s) that is an indicator when you have 1 or more home screens.
My question is - is there a way to remove the dot(s)/indicator? By way of an app or custom ROM?
Thanks in advance!

If I understand what you are saying a custom launcher like apex or nova should take care of it. They will have a bar, but you can hide it.

Those will work on the stock rom, but not the stock launcher. I guess I should mention you may not be able to use touchwiz widgets with them. But to keep your launcher and rom but remove those would involve code manipulation. I'm not saying no one has done it, but I haven't stumbled upon that type of tweak.

Generally speaking I really prefer the AOSP Roms but I have a few things in the stock based roms that I can't seem to get away from. One of them is the sound. Its just better on stock. I won't go into detail because a) that's not the point of this post and b) I don't want any of the excellent devs working on AOSP roms to think I'm being critical of their work.
One of the things I preferred about the AOSP Roms was the lockscreen. I just don't like LG's implementation. I don't think it looks as good and I don't like having to press enter after typing in my pin. It's petty on my part, but it irks me. Anyway, I had been trying to figure out how to port the lockscreen from AOSP to work on stock based roms and as it turns out, it's already there. In a rather foolhearty attempt to learn more about LG's lockscreen, I decided to make a nandroid backup, then boot, and just erase the LGLockScreen.apk/LGLockScreen.odex files from the /system/app folder using ES file explorer. I also erased the LGLockSreenSettings.apk/LGLockScreenSetting.odex files as well.
Now I have the AOSP lockscreen but things aren't exactly 100 percent stable. I'm trying to find a solution to make the switch and not have weird force closes. Sometimes it works fine but every once and a while, it will behave strangely and spit error messages at me. I've searched but I haven't seen any threads where anyone has managed to do this. (I tried erasing the lockscreen and leaving the settings files but that didn't work 100% either) Any suggestions?

a working AOSP lockscreen for stock would be more than a welcome addition.
I changed this line in my build.prop because i wanted a live wallpaper on my lockscreen. It also makes your lockscreen aosp style.
Find
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=true
Change to
ro.lge.capp_lockscreen=false
Reboot
Enjoy
Also for whatever reason root explorer wouldn't let me change true to false. It would only let me spell out fals so i downloaded buildprop editor free from play store worked great.
Should mention i have Verizon G2

Well setting the LG lockscreen to false enabled the AOSP lockscreen. I was able to get the lockscreen to unlock when the correct PIN was entered without having to press the enter button, which was not possible previously. I did notice that my navigation bar transparency was disabled when I was not using the LG lockscreen. With the QuickWindow cover I have I reverted back to LG lockscreen for the window effect and the transparent nav bar.
I went ahead and changed the line in my build.prop as stated above, and it definitely cleaned up the lockscreen how I wanted, but now my wallpaper is gone. Its just a black screen and I've tried changing it to other wallpapers but it just stays black. Any ideas?

I did this to have my homescreen live wallpaper on my lockscreen to mimic the look of Gummys kitkat rom while running lg based rom. I really havent tested beyond that. I set live wallpaper of choice ( phase bean ) onn homescreen then modified the build.prop. After reboot ive got a aosp style live wallpaper lockscreen.
Edit
Just tried and whatever wallpaper i set to homescreen is on lockscreen live or from gallery. Tried changing just lockscreen alone with no luck so if you want to separate wallpapers this might not be for you

Agreed, actually one of the things I wanted from the AOSP lockscreen was to use the same wallpaper as the desktop. I thought it looked weird having different ones and when I would choose the same one for the desktop and the LG based lockscreen, they would be clipped differently and just looked even weirder to me....
FYI, for those of you doing this, I'm noticing some strange issues when combined with some Xposed modules. I'm actually thinking I might install a fresh rom and do this so that I can try to figure out which module(s) might be of concern...
Tried the build prop thing too but although i am able to save it it gets revertet to "true" directly after...
EDIT: Forget it! Altered the build.prop manually with root browser and now the lockscreen has changed. But still i have to press enter after the pin...
EDIT: Forget that too. In xposed g2 settings i could activate "quick unlock".
Thanbks Guys

I found it under the gravity box module. I'm not sure it's in the G2 module since our G2 wouldn't normally use this lockscreen...

Which G2 Xposed module did you use? Nevermind
noticed a small issue with using this tweak: sometimes after a phone call when it goes back to the home screen it's just an empty wallpaper instead without any icons and the only way to get out of is to bring the notification shade and go into settings from there and then go back to the home screen.
I've seen that too. It's kind of annoying and really strange. I wish I knew how to stop it from happening because I really don't like the lg lockscren...

Hello, I'm on CM14 and Xposed doesn't work with Nougat, so I was wondering if there was an alternate way of modifying/customizing the lockscreen. I'm not a big fan of the default clock widget and would like to get rid of everything except notifications. I haven't been able to find anything other than the third party lockscreen replacements, none of which really work that well for me. Anyone have any ideas?

Okay, thanks. I was hoping for something that I could do without having to wipe my phone and install a new ROM, but I'll definitely keep it in mind.
