Is there an Xposed Module that will allow you to set your own photo for calls you get that are not in your contacts? This seems like it should have been implemented in Android a long time ago...

Hello,
i have got a very simple question to a strange problem.
Question: what it the default application a "missed call" will be opened with (opened up from the notification event)?
Background: in my case the default Contacts App (don't know how it is called directly) is started if ONE call is missed.
If i missed TWO calls, i get the choice of an application to use "Go Dialer; Contacts" where i can define Go Dialer as desired.
I did delete already the Setting / Application / manage Application / All / default startup entry for "Contacts" , "Dialer" and "Go Contacts".
but still one single missed call will open up in the default tool, multiple missed calls will cause the questions with application should be used.
Any help to figure out the source of this issue would be apreciated.
cheers

Exact same problem I'm facing, though I'm on stock Gingerbread ROM on my SGS2.
I want to set exDialer as default for viewing those missed calls, but for a single missed call - it always defaults to in-built Call Log app, but for multiple missed call it asked me for which app to use (and I set Use as default for exDialer).
In short as stated, works for multiple missed calls, but not for single missed call.
Can't find anything about it on Googling other than this old unanswered thread.

Exactly the same problem here ! please some one help !
Hi,
I sometimes use my mobile for business calls and would like to hide my caller ID when doing so, I know you can find the option under: Settings > Other Call Settings Section > Additional settings > Caller ID
I also know you can add codes to front of numbers to hid it, but I was just wondering if there was a application that can simple toggle it on and off without going into the menus.
Thanks

I'm not sure if you're still looking but I found this today and it's works pretty well.

I was wondering if anyone made such app? An app that can toggle screen overlay globally on an Android phone.
One click and screen overlay is permitted, another click reverts back to normal.
If you have many apps that use screen overlay and you need to change the permission its quiet a hassle to turn off every app that uses screen overlay.
Found out that Xposed has a module named "NoOverLayWarning". This works perfectly.
With this module you can keep using apps with overlay enabled and no need to temporarily disable them to change permissions.
If you are done, you could disable this module again.....
Upgraded my Redmi Note 3 from MiUI lollipop 5.1.1 to SIimROM Nougat 7.1.2. My phone is rooted with Magisk & also has systemless xposed.
First, I want to disable quick settings pull down from the lock screen. I'm able to use every toggle on my quick settings screen without the PIN code. Wouldn't want to allow that without the PIN. Gravitybox Nougat doesn't seem to have an option to disable that.
Second, on MiUI, whenever an app accessed my location, I also got a notification that displayed which app was using location. This doesn't seem to be the case on AOSP Nougat, all I get is a location icon in the status bar, but have no idea which app is accessing my location. That isn't of much use, is there is a root app or an xposed module that can display which app is accessing my location?
Third, the max volume on my ROM seems to be too low, I can't hear most YouTube videos I watch without keeping the phone very close to my face. Which mod would be the best to increase system volume? I don't care about other equalizer settings & all that, just want a way to increase max system volume.
Fourth, when I first setup a lock screen on my ROM, it seems to have encrypted my phone. But when I turned On accessibility service of an app, I no longer see the secure PIN screen that was asked before at boot. Some searching made me realize that turning On accessibility disables encryption, don't know why this is the case. 4 of my apps need the accessibility service to do their tasks, is there no way to have the accessibility service enabled while also keeping the phone encrypted? There must be some workaround....
Is it possible to have the time stamps, showing when sent and received sms, to be disabled/hidden by default in the Android Messages app? I know it works if you press on the message sent, but I want it off all the time...
Can't find a setting for it, so is it possible to config something in Preferences Manager xml file? I'm on nougat, magisk, xposed.
Thanks!
