And now I start to developing the ROM too for this device
Hey, I was wondering what exactly I need to do to get permissions for git and also I was wondering if I could upload my barebones based on FusionIdeos 1.9 on there? I am also going to make a CM barebones as well. My barebones roms have Gingerbread animations and some other tweaks as well. I get between 4-4.33 mflop/s so far @ 600 mhz with my barebones.
hi everyone we thank you for the support and for anyone who wants to develop for us, please talk to tilal. i think he is the only one that can add people to the git....not sure cause im new to the site we are doing it on. tilal should be online sometime tomorrow so be patient.
I'm from Indonesia and I think other developer is from around the world.
so I think if for now we will build ROM not from source, is better to use the Base ROM that have lot of language.
And how about kernel source? should we place on github? so we can colaborating to add/edit feature on kernel.

If its a Froyo build, we'll need to try and merge it with the current froyoman branch as having two simultaneous builds will be a hassle. You should push it as a new branch - froyomanexp A CM build is already up - check if yours is any different. To get permissions just PM me your github username and I will grant you write permissions
So this thread is for 1 ROM or to look at all options out there?

I'm very happy for the existence of a new great team! Hope to seen your work as soon as you can!
all i have to say is wow . thanks for the effort you guys are putting into this. great work . if u need any testers im up for it .
I hope you don't mind if I ask some basic questions about the team's direction:
- I assume 3D is out due to lack of hardware
- I assume multi touch is out due to lack of hardware
- is there a reason not to use Fusion ROM as well or does that depend on FusionDev's involvement?
- are you looking to make 3 ROMs or are you starting out to see which direction works best, then focus on that one?
- given a few existing designs exist with good results, will this team focus on using existing code or redevelop?
I am new to this, but happy to help test when the time is right.
Looking forward to the work of the team, lots of leads out there, I'll add one to an Australian IT forum where I first found out about the U8150 and now ROM's.
:wow:
My head is spinning :chortle:
You guys rock :horns:
Wana help, but dont really know whats going on (at this stage)
Maybe I can be the spit and polish near the end ^^
Keep up the good work
PS - Waiting for a stable version to test & give feedback on

You are aware that leaking this is against the terms of MIUI beta team?

No auto porter or miui porting guide is updated to support kitkat-based MIUI.
I have made a semi-automatic porter though, available here:
https://github.com/datagutt/Android-MIUI-Porting/blob/kitkat/hammerhead/prep_rom
This script relies on OS X and some manual smali merging though. Using my script you get booting MIUI on Nexus 5 but it needs a lot of bug fixes.

SystemUI crashes and launcher crashes.
Can't share yet because of MIUI beta team rules (i am in the beta team and they don't tolerate leaking). But i provided the porting script for people that already have the beta and want to develop the port further.

My presentation is not an addition to the information in the thread Collection of Roms kernels and links so I decided to start a separate thread.
I will update as far as possibilities, and when I have enough time.
I hope the information here will help someone.

Cool idea :highfive: and THANK YOU for gathering all these information
i think this sheet shows how active our Devs were in the last time though our device is not the newest one.
One thing i would like to see is a link to the appropriate ROM-version....
Reserved for links.
I will place links here when I find a way of presenting links in the color table.
Currently, there is a limit of 30000 characters per post.
------edit 11th October 2014 at 08:41 AM-----
It would be best if they fit on XDA.
If you do not find a way to limit, then the next week I will introduce a link to the document google.
------edit 21thOctober 2014 at 08:07 AM
Links rapidly changing and disappearing. It makes no sense to place them here. I gave links to the threads. That is enough.
Great man !
i think you should talk to a modertor to make this thread a sticky one as the ROMs and kernels index
Wow, great job on the sheet. Makes me shed a tear seeing how far this device has come.
Excellent work on compiling this history. Cool idea! :good:
Try to create such history of Jelly Bean, Ice Cream Sandwich & Gingerbread if you are interested.
& request a mod to make this sticky thread in dev section.
Just as Xistance said, old version history makes me also feel nostalgic... Overcome with emotions... No words...
please could you provide the xls file ? thanks, i want create some graphics about update frequences

At the moment I do not see much interest in history by members of xda.
Placing sticky threads leave the moderators.
If DevConnection_Team create Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S + is for sure I will continue making history backwards.
If the developers finish their ROM support, I would put it here final_i9001_kitkat_rom_kernel.ods

No, no one will try because is useless, and also because our phone has reached the maximum capacity and performances and if you look the whole OS in it you will see that there has been changed a lot of things like new and at of new animations, material design that in our phone cannot run well. Even educk said in a post on the cm11 thread that also on his phone the nexus 5 got some glitches on an AOSP build so think about how it will run on our device.....

From now on, I'm so permanently attach a PDF file, which is a good quality.

[ROM][UNOFFICIAL Android Ice Cold Project][7.1.1 SURNIA]

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!

Also, I've been building 7.1.2 myself. Why build 7.1.1?
The ROM got official weeklies, it's not needed to have 2 threads for this man
The previous week doesn't get out because of issues with AICP Server. And now we have to wait until saturday to get a new build. Just be patient

[Osprey] AOSPA - Paranoid Android Features Request

Hi Developers,
I would request if any developer can pull out below AOSPA features from official ROM & make flashable zip which we can use on any osprey custom ROMs
Also if possible then separate zip for each features.
1 - Pie Controls
2 - Accidental touch
3 - Pocket lock & Pocket Judge.

This is not possible and totally impractical...these features are merged in ROM's framework, settings and systemUI, Which are different on each and every ROM. Even if someone merges those stuffs in a particular ROM and share those apks as a flashable zip..it won't be universal. Those apks will need to be updated for every new build of that ROM.And this needs to be done for every ROM separately.
