Shame on you HTC ya cheeped out on the case.

okay im looking to clean this white TPU case I have for my 1X but it's like it's impossible. Ive tried soap and water, bleach, windex (lol) in hot water, warm water, soaking it for hours and nothing works. I just want it to be white again....any suggestions besides buying a new case?

Steal a new case?
TPU by nature absorbs things, but doesn't release them easily. There really isn't way to bring it back to the original white color.
I bought a clear TPU case that turned a dingy yellow in about a month. My advice, only buy darker colors if you are getting tpu.

AJerman....that was funny lol I think that's my best option seeing KindaTired's response lol thanks to you both
I had one and Tried about everything too. I had on with white sides and a clear hard back. After everything I tried brake cleaner. The break cleaner seemed to work, but it made the back hard plastic crack. Mine was turning blue from my jeans. It took the blue off but left the ugly yellowish color still....
www.handhelditems.com has a lot of white tpu cases. they were $4 when I bough them and I decided to be 5 so when they turn nasty i throw them out. hope that helps
I'm actually looking to dye a translucent TPU case from clear to black. Does anyone know if there are dyes that will absorb into and not bleed or rub off of TPU? I don't want something that will end up staining my clothes when I put in in and out of my pocket.
ESdesigns, just paint the inner side of the case with acrylic paint and a few coats will make it solid black (or any color really). After that make sure to use some clear coat over the paint to protect it, and thats it. And if you wanna keep it clear but tint it with a certain color just use ink or semipermanent hair dye (like manic panic, arctic fox, stargazer, etc) and again just apply a coat of the coloring on the inner side of the case and leave it for like half an hour, maybe an entire hour to be sure, then rinse. It'll be tinted but will remain clear.
Anyone else notice that the matte finish on the rear cover is coming off their black Xperia L?
I ordered a red cover and im using that so im not pushed, but its not as "grippey" as the matte finish on the black maybe as its not an OEM part.
Yeah! I noticed on my white colour. The back cover part which is always in contact with surface had no more matte finishing. It is now rough surfac....

Yes - I went on holiday and took my Xperia L which was 2 days old - first two days were OK then as the week went on all the matte rubbery coating on the back of my black L started flaking off (original battery cover) - it's now black gloss on all the edges where it has come into contact with my fingers surrounded by flakes of matte coating. I can only assume that it was caused by some sort of chemical reaction with either the sun lotion I had on (Ultrasun Professional Protection Gel Formula) or my perspiration or the heat (low 40c) or a combo of them all. I kept the phone in a clean dry trouser pocket when not in use. It now looks a right heap of junk with all the coating flaking off. I am hoping it is because of a reaction to one of the above as I am worried that the same may happen again if I splash out on a new back.
I'd be interested of other people's experiences with this rubberised coating battery cover.
Been using this phone for a month. It comes into contact with my sweat everyday. The matte finish isnt coming off. So I guess it is something to do with sunlotion or direct exposure ti strong sunlight

I purchased the Caseology carbon fiber bumper frame case with the champagne colored bumper. I also purchased the same case with the "silver mesh" and the silver bumper. I put the silver bumper on the carbon fiber case and it looks sweet. I would like to try and remove the gold "CASEOLOGY" lettering that's on the carbon fiber portion of the back
Any suggestions on what to use without borking up the carbon fiber itself?
Answering my own question...91% isopropyl alcohol and some elbow grease did the trick.

Maybe a Sugar Cube? I remember using them back in the days to remove the logos from those Windows HTC phones.
I did the slickwraps carbon fiber black with a tempered glass protector with the wrap on top. Also the front wrap doesn't have cutouts for the recent or back button but it still works i think it looks better too. Screen sensitivity took a hit though. Wish evutec would make a kevlar case for the note 7
