sir i wanted to buy an android device for around 20000- 25000 INR....... i am pretty confused between Grand 2 and Desire 816 and Moto X ...... which one should i prefer...?????
Grand 2 is having a bad screen quality ( TFT screen ) but is for the other parts a really good device.
Desire 816 would be the best choice except also a screen issue ( pixel per inch pp ) so the screens of the first two are not really pretty, the Moto x is the most stable choice but i would go for the Desire 816

Can i install this app from my phone onto my mothers stock/aosp android device??
I figure worst case is it would tell me no, but I am just wanting to make sure.
Which device do you have, if it's samsung only then you can't install on AOSP from my experience, if it's also for AOSP then you have to install it as a system app, go to your priv-app or app folder and move the APK file into one of the two folders ( i don't know which one anymore ) and give it all permissions or 644 .

Mine is a samsung... but the swype app on mine, to look at it in the settings>apps area, does not say anything about uclj (which i understand basically means, not aosp compatible). I was just thinking i could try her on it since it offers much better word suggestions than hers does currently. Also the ability to have its own dictionary and the ability to add words to the dictionary from right while youre typing or swyping is kind of awesome.

The list of officially supported deviced I already checked, with no result.
