I think
Samsung blocked every new model from rooting with Towelroot.
Framaroot also doesnt work.
Then....
Is there only solution that flash Rooted Firmware via Odin?
Or is there any another rooting app that works in Galaxy S4?

I wanted to buy the mobile odin app
For ease of OTA updating with official firmware files and keeping root but I have read on the app store purchase page something about the boot loader having to be unlocked before you use it so iam not sure what to do .
I do not want it for custom roms just stock firmware I just like having the root access .Iam on 4.1.2 uk note 2 and would just like some advice on this before I purchase it thanks

There are some devices with a locked boot loader. The a t and t galaxy s4 does for example. However I don't think the note 2 does not. So u should be just fine using Mobile odin

I have managed to root my friend's Samsung Galaxy duos sch-i589. It is a gsm-cdma dual sim phone. But i could not find recovery specific for this phone?
Is there anyway I could backup the current rom? Can i flash a new rom through Odin? Would it give problems?
