I want to find an app or other way to record the screen on my android phone (like Fraps for PC) and every way I tried, I get low FPS.
I tried many apps (Rec, SCR, NLL Screen Recorder and many more).
And I also tried recording with my PC via SDK : http://www.phonearena.com/news/How-t...KitKat_id49133
but every time I get low FPS (About 15-20) unlike I see in videos on YouTube and such.
Is there a different way to record screen or a way to raise the FPS or remove the limit if there is one?
I have a rooted Nexus 5 with PAC-rom.

Is it possible to have the camera app on video recorder mode continue recording even with the screen off? I just got a nexus one, switch from an iPhone which could do this via cycorder. Sometimes I'll record videos which are over two hours long but the screen being on it kills the battery really fast.
Is there any way I can solve this?
I recorded video with both stock camera app an lgCamera app, also in 1080p and 720p. The end result is similar: the record stops silently or the camera app crashes after recording a video that is size of 1.9GB. Why such behavior? Is anybody experiencing this problem too? I wonder if it is a bug or a limit set on purpose. (I know typical Point-and-Shoot cameras in the US has 10 min limit on HD video recording) Is there any work around?
The same thing happens here. I tried 2 times with the camera set on 480p and the recording stops exactly at the 44:36 mark.
Is there a way to inform Google about it ?
I have SGH-I997 and this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2232538
Final Build.
The problem is in Video Recording, Camera flicks a lot and then sound flicks too when I view the video recorded.
It's seems like screen is refreshing or something.
It flicks when there is normal light. In low light it doesn't.
U can see the video here:

did you even try searching?
There'll never be a fix for that unfortunately becoz of Samsung's custom chip and the old kernel this phone is using as no new official source code for ICS or JB has been made for this phone
All ICS+ ROMs for infuse will have this skipping. Use standard mode 480p for video recording without skips!
You can also try to tick these in Developer settings:
Disable HW overlays
Force GPU rendering for 2d
Force 4x MSAA
These changes can sometimes enable 720p hd video recording without skips ( if you have not used your phone heavily, it may work. If not then standard video recording only)
These settings also remove skips from hd video playback on your phone. But they increase battery use however

This is because the phone cannot record HD/720p videos at 25fps with normal settings.
Either use standard/480p for recording which is fine or use
the magical 3 ticks mentioned in developer settings to remove video playback flickers, but 720p recording will continue to flicker but reduced flickers or no skips at times
See your autofocus time for blurr?idk

thanx for the tip Fullmetal...however, i changed my video record quality to SD 480p and the flicker stopped but the view is still blurry...the camera only focuses perfectly on very very close objects but becomes blurrry at a slight distance from the object.....i even used the magical 3 tricks in developer settings yet it is still blurry and equally changed the focus mode from auto>macro down to face detect...yet its still blurry in all of them.....plz what can i do to make my camera sharp....thanx alot for your help:good:.....i appreciate...
Try reducing the autofocus time in settings, put JPEG photo quality to normal or fine , but not superfine!
Try cleaning your lenses or might be that your camera unit is damaged??
Hit thxs button!
If I try to record an extended video (40+ mins) I've noticed the Nexus 5 splits my video recordings into 2gb files (roughly 15 min clips). The good thing is it'll keep recording, except it misses a few seconds between clips.
Is there a 3rd party app that can either overcome the 2gb limit or splits the video without losing footage?
There is no possibility to Create one file of 43mints in N5
I don't mind several clips but the fact that it loses some footage when it splits the video is really disappointing.

Hi,
It may happen if you force the speed beyond the hardware capabilities. every hardware has its own limitations.
Let me explain with a simple example. Assume that your hardware is capable of playing 1080p at 60 fps. If you play a 1080p (30fps video) at 2x speed, then your hardware also needs to decode 2x frames. i.e 60 frames per second. But, it's the actual threshold of your device. If you increase more than that, then the video may not be reaching the required speed while audio may play at the required speed. If Audio Video is not in sync, then MX Player will pause the audio for a moment till video catches up with the audio position.
You can check some lower resolution or lower fps videos, It may go up to max speed (i.e 4x).
