Final Build.
The problem is in Video Recording, Camera flicks a lot and then sound flicks too when I view the video recorded.
It's seems like screen is refreshing or something.
It flicks when there is normal light. In low light it doesn't.

There'll never be a fix for that unfortunately becoz of Samsung's custom chip and the old kernel this phone is using as no new official source code for ICS or JB has been made for this phone
All ICS+ ROMs for infuse will have this skipping. Use standard mode 480p for video recording without skips!
You can also try to tick these in Developer settings:
Disable HW overlays
Force GPU rendering for 2d
Force 4x MSAA
These changes can sometimes enable 720p hd video recording without skips ( if you have not used your phone heavily, it may work. If not then standard video recording only)
These settings also remove skips from hd video playback on your phone. But they increase battery use however

plz i have a similar problem withthe camera ish...after upgrading my infuse to avatar custom rom and to [ROM][KitKat][4.4][Official]BeanStalk Build 4.4.015 - Updated 12/04/2013, my camera has been blurry....however the front camera is still clear....plz help

This is because the phone cannot record HD/720p videos at 25fps with normal settings.
Either use standard/480p for recording which is fine or use
the magical 3 ticks mentioned in developer settings to remove video playback flickers, but 720p recording will continue to flicker but reduced flickers or no skips at times
See your autofocus time for blurr?idk

thanx for the tip Fullmetal...however, i changed my video record quality to SD 480p and the flicker stopped but the view is still blurry...the camera only focuses perfectly on very very close objects but becomes blurrry at a slight distance from the object.....i even used the magical 3 tricks in developer settings yet it is still blurry and equally changed the focus mode from auto>macro down to face detect...yet its still blurry in all of them.....plz what can i do to make my camera sharp....thanx alot for your help:good:.....i appreciate...
Try reducing the autofocus time in settings,put JPEG photo quality to normal or fine , but not superfine!
Try cleaning your lenses or might be that your camera unit is damaged??

Hi folks,
I'm on ZSLE6 stock rom with stock kernel. My video recording settings are default and resolution (720p), video quality (superfine).
Also, my external storage is set default to my SD card with pudup hack.
Now, when i record Video, the video becomes still at times and then ok.. at times the stillness continues for 5-6 seconds.. This happens even when i am on flight mode. Even after i cleared RAM and relaunch the recorder, i see this issue.
Is there anything i can change in build prop to improve 720p video recording performance?

I have the official cm12.1 on my yuphoria. I tried the stock camera app and the video recording is really choppy/laggy. I tried various 3rd party camera apps but still the video was very choppy/laggy even when I set the fps to 60 or 120 (at 720p). Yuphoria is supposed to have 60fps recording at 1080p so is this a device issue or rom issue ? I tried from a friend's redmi 1s and the video was very smooth even at 1080p. (In the same room under same conditions)
Is there a custom kernel which can provide a solution to my problem ?
(The video becomes a little smoother if I point it directly at a light source but in normal light in my room, the video is really choppy/laggy)
By default, Video stabilisation is enabled for my phone. However, I've noticed at least two bugs/issues with it enabled. Since I'm not noticing any significant benefit from it, I've disabled it.
Here are the two issues with it so far (with Video stabilisation enabled):
1. When recording video (eg. in FHD), sound recording continues for about 1 second after video recording stops. In order to reproduce this convincingly (or make it more obvious to illustrate the issue), ensure you're moving the phone all the time while video recording, and ensure there's noise occurring all the time (obviously especially at the end and for a few seconds after you stop recording). Disabling Video stabilisation fixes this issue.
2. Zooming effect at the start of video recording - may mean you miss parts of what you actually want to record at the start. Of course, even with Video stabilisation disabled, you still need to set the camera at 16:9 resolution to prevent the zooming effect completely (several threads on the internet about this already).
Anyone else have experience with this? Can you reproduce the above issues?
The zoom can be cleared reproduced. I didn't try the sound issue...

I haven't tested for those issues but when video stabilization was on the video was ultra shaky (the irony). With this off, the stabilization is way better..
What software update are you guys on? I'm still on the April update. Not sure if the May or June update has improved this. Although the zooming effect will always be there.

Doing slow pans last night with stabilization enabled produced the same thing for me. Leaving it disabled from now on.

What update are you on? April? May? June?
I noticed that 4k video has alot of Stuttering. I am recording directly to the phones memory, and it happens if recording handheld or even on a stabilizer. Is anyone else having similar issues or know a fix?

If you go to camera settings and turn off stabilization it will be fine. Ois will still work this just turns off eis.
Eis uses a lot of cpu power and thus the stuttering. Known issue. Hopefully there will be a fix

Thanks, didn't think a feature would make it not work well. I think it would be better if they disabled it by default since it causes issues in 4k. But this will work for now.
Same issue
I have the same issue but it lags then speeds up, I looked for a shutter setting in my camera, but there isn't one. Has there been a fix for this yet?
This has happened on any Android phone that I have used since the Note 4. I have the phone set to record to the SD card (A fast SD card capable of 100mb/s). Image stabilization and auto focus are turned off. I begin recording and everything is starts out smooth for a few seconds. Then a slight pause. The footage then speeds up to compensate. At first I thought this was merely a playback issue. I exported the video to my PC and the same lag is apparent. I hate to say this, but I have never had this issue on iPhones.
I have an issue with my nokia 3 when it comes to recording videos with certain apps like snapchat, instagram, facebook etc. when recording the videos would be choppy and laggy(the device itself doesn't slow down) this happens when recording with both the front and back camera
when I record with the actual camera app that came installed with the phone the videos are perfect. I tried to fix the choppy video recording by going to developer options and enabling 'force gpu rendering' as I read somewhere that it helps video recording but that didn't work for me.
Does anyone have any solution?

I have the exact same problem, and no-one found a solution yet. I think it is a hardware problem, and i honestly HATE THIS PHONE SO MUCH NOW
I had an issue with Snapchat crashing on a Nokia 3. What worked for me was moving the app to internal storage, external storage just isn't quick enough. Hope this helps!

Even I'm facing the same. But you move it to internal or external storage ,the problem remains the same.
Here, I've a strange problem. When I opt for an AR filter in snapchat, the camera freezes, but when I click a photo it clicks with a AR filter. I can't really enjoy it's feature. The snapchat camera works worst in this device.
I've contact to the developers, because these problems ariese after oreo version update, but they said,"we don't support 3rd party apps". wtf!
Actually the problem is that they pack this device with old MT-6737, in high prize. I think sometimes, why did they launch this stupid device in 2017?
