Hi!
I'm planning to buy the Moto G from Verizon, the $99 Walmart/BestBuy one, but will I be able to activate it with a carrier other than Verizon that uses CDMA?
As I don't live in USA it would be useless as a phone, thanks in advance.

You can't unlock the bootloader on the Verizon version, therefore you can not activate with another carrier.
You can however get the Boost Moto G and activate with another carrier.
I'm not sure what you mean that it would be useless as a phone because you don't live in the USA...
Why would you want a CDMA version if you don't live in the US? I would much rather use the GSM version of the Moto G but GSM coverage is fairly lacking where I live in Southwest US.. Cheers.
I live near the frontier with the USA, so I thought it could be easy to buy a Verizon Moto G and activate it here in Mexico with Iusacell, as it is a CDMA carrier. Looks like I'll have to buy the Boost Mobile one.
Thanks You! :good:
I thought it could be activated with Iusacell, as this guy said he did it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51014678&postcount=5
Was looking to buy the moto g 4g lte first gen. Was curious if this particular model can be used on any 3g network including asia and europe since it lists the bands 850/900/1700/1900/2100? Please advise.
I do Have Motorola Moto G 4G US version
Does it support LTE 2300? or how Can i enable it in anyway?
My father has the original non-LTE Moto G that he purchased from Cricket some time ago. Will this work with T-Mobile? If so, are there any downsides to doing so? Also, what steps need to be taken first?
Thanks!
https://www.uscellular.com/site/legal/mobile-wireless-device-unlocking.html This seems to say that all US cellular 4G motorola phones come already unlocked. Is this correct?
I'm looking get a Moto G LTE xt1042 off ebay for use on Tello, who is a sprint MVNO. They say any CDMA unlocked or "sprint-ready" device will work.
It looks the Moto G LTE doesn't support Sprint's LTE bands 25, 26 so I guess I'll only have 3G (?).
