This is my first request on xda .. and also my first post... I have seen many whatsapp mods . But none of them had the option to hide private chat 's ... for example... U can hide chat with someone and when your parents stalks in to your phone and checks chats , they can't see your hidden chat on main screen. . unless they press the whatsapp icon on header and draw the saved pattern or type in your password /pin ... this e is gonna be awesome in whatsapp... i see many of my friends are moving into hike just to use this feature.. so if anyone makes a mod for it or even rafalense adds it in his whatsapp .. there are gonna be plenty of users especially indians hope my request is clear .. looking forward for a positive reply .. and please try to make it usable for non rooted phone's as well... if u can.. thanks

Why don't you add the possibility to start or stop the service when a BT headset is connected or disconnected? It's good for me (and many others) that use a bluetooth car kit
Fantastic idea, but (maybe its just me) it has a conceptual flaw.
A text message is not a phone call. There's nothing stopping me from letting a text message sit there without a reply if I'm busy. It doesn't ring for as long as a phone call, and quite honestly, if it's not urgent enough to call about instead of texting you, it's not urgent enough for you to put aside your current obligation and respond.
I thought you had to offer a non-paid version available to members if you were posting on XDA forums?

I would like to use SMS/Whatsapp like iMessage; one inbox and when sending auto detect method (SMS/Whatsapp)
I have been googling for this subject for quite a while and I can't seem to find the solution and I really don't (want) to believe that this has not been developed yet; Whatsapp is cross platform and therefore would be better than just iPhone to Iphone, BB to BB etc. How could they not have developed this yet @ Whatsapp...

I Think this imposible. Whatsapp it's a third party app. Whatsapp cannot integrate with any brand.
Maybe in the future we use RCS (Rich Communication Suite). It´s a chat system that integrat in any phone.

It's actually perfectly possible. If the whatsapp developers included SMS in their app then it would be what the OP is asking for. It's just a 3rd party SMS app, and there's plenty of them around.
In answer to the OP, get in touch with the whatsapp developers and ask them if they have any plans to integrate SMS. What you're asking does make sense, but it doesn't currently exist, so go suggest it

I've seen all kind of apps 'manipulating' and catching in / out going text messages so whatsapp should be perfectly capable of doing such a think. The thing is; I thought I wasn't looking for it correctly. It simply cannot be that I am the only one thinking about this with the release of iMessage. To bad I cannot code a thing like that but this could be a money bomb if whatsapp fails to take on the market.
Workaround...
i came across the same thing the OP wanted , and its simply not working , whereas if long tap contact > send message > and i choose "viber" , it works perfectly... think its something whatsapp developers have to fix....
workaround....
but , if u click on the contact portrait , then u will have that pop up with all avaliable communication apps , and u click on whatsapp icon , then it will redirect u to that contact's chat window..
i know its not as convenient as setting it the default sms app , but there is nothing we can do about it but waiting for the developers of whatsapp to fix that...i attached a screenshot of it...

Tried it..here's why Whatsapp is better and cannot be replaced by this app-
1.Whatsapp is cleaner.Simple and efficient UI . GS tries to do too much , which simply doesnt work.
2.Even if GS doesnt have a paid subscription, I would gladly pay 50 bucks for an yearly subscription of Whatsapp(I mean, c'mon, 50 rs is nothing as an yearly fee..and the developers of this app deserve a lot more)
3.Lastly, and on a less serious note, the name of this app.. would never work outside India..

This post is to clear an issue that I faced; (integrating Jaconda into Telegram Messenger )
I couldn't figure out how Jaconda works or what it is ..
So here is something to help everyone gets an idea ..
1-Create a user name in Telegram ..
The link would be as such TELEGRAM.COM/(YourUserName), & add yourself to your "own contacts" .. this is so we could create a group (2 minimum participants, the second member would be "Jaconda" ..
2-Head over here & add "Jaconda"

3-Create a group. . Name it anything ; "JacondaTestGroup" .. & add Jaconda to the group .
Once you do that , She will send you messages explaining lots of things ...
*to invite people to the group or any other group you need to be the one who created it ..
You will see "Invite by a Link " when you chose to add participants ..
Get the link & post it anywhere , people clicking it will fire up Telegram & they will join up.your group if they so decided ...
Jaconda is fun , it uses something similar to DuckDuckGo's syntax command ..
Try it & you will know ..

well i'm not trying to sell anything and i hope someone can help making my idea come to live ...
i'm interested in artificial intelligence and how in every part of our life smart machines existed , why we don't create a chat bot like cortana or siri or google assistant , but the difference is to add a graphic avatar to it that can interact with the user where the user can change his look and the face to create a custom one , and also you can use that avatar to play games like 3rd person view fighting or shouter games or race or something like pokemon go where it depend on ur geographic place it's a little bit close to the game father.io , we used to watch anims and movies and my idea is likely similar to megamen , a virtual assistant doing all things , u can chat with it using voice or keyboard , and why we don't add some facial interaction program to it where the assistant can see u thru ur phone camera , analyse ur face your voice and ur way of talking and know ur mood , ur physical statue and it can propose some ideas to u like " i see that u don't feel great , do u want to get some rest ? " if u agree it send an information thru WiFi or Bluetooth to ur smart house system to prepare ur dinner , prepare ur bad room take a choice of music depending on ur mood or a movie .. and u can carry it in ur pocket and it's there for u anytime , anywhere u can tell him things talk to it like u're talking to someone alive , by giving him the possibility to learn and to combine voice , picture and chat to make a complete information he learn from , and we can even make him learn psychology and sociology so it can interact in the best way with the user ... that's my idea. all what it take to make a really smart robot that can learn meanings of things is to combine visual and vocal information , it's not easy but i wanted to find some developers to talk to about my idea
