You may use Swapper2 or ROehsoft. In my experience, i did partitioning my sdcard (16GB) to 4GB for external link (with link2sd) and 1,8GB for swap (swap partition). And it works. BUT... you have to very careful. After first experience i feel that the swap file was not that satisfying, so tried use my Internal (spare) USB Storage as swap (no partition system modified) ...and, my device bricked.
I already fix it and make it back to life, but USB debugging is no longer detected with flash when devices is off (during on-mode, USB debugging is detected by flashtool).
edit:
I forgot the mention that, now my internal usb storage, no longer detected aka dead maybe...

Thanks a lot for your warning, but it already happened about a week ago. And now my USB External Storage has no longer detected (3GB greyed out). But the funny thing is, my internal system storage (5GB) is now become the external storage. And USB flashmode is no longer able to be used.
I did reinstall driver, remove anything (from flashtool, PCC), and the last time i try to use my cable on Z2 device (with flashtool), it works for Z2 enter flashmode, while my device remains detected as MTP... :crying:

Increase internal memory using sd card?

Hello
I just bought an Xperia L.
internal memory disappoints me.
it's 1.57 n 4gbplus sd card.
can I use sd card for game data as 4gb
isn't enough for me. While buying I thought it'll be 6 n sd. I have 16gb card. How to I install three to four games of about 1.2 gb each? (4.8gb)
There is a tutorial on the forum how to swap internal with external memory which will make your 16 Gb SD Card as a Internal memory.
But be careful and do not format the internal one (will be know as a external after swap) as this will brick your phone. Just swap, do not formate and here you go
link2SD worths a look too

afaik the only difficulty you could find is the sdcard partitioning, but it can be easily performed from the recovery

Thank you for being detailed. I exactly know what are you talking about. It takes just two minutes to setup Link2sd if you are rooted.
The reason I do not like Link2Sd is that once you factory reset your phone, sometimes it corrupts your system files. It happened with me a couple of times. It's just I had a bad experience with it.
Cheers again

I repartitioned my internal SD card and my userdata to use for cm12. I used it, and then I decided to flash stock. While flashing, flashtool gave me an error.
After that, only thing that works are Flashmode, Fastboot and Recovery with adb.
I can't flash anything on recovery, as it says E:/ can't be mounted.
I also tried fastboot flash system system.sin, but it failed.
I took the advice of an xda member to use gparted, but my device isn't recognized, or so I think.
Please help me, I have no warranty over this device, and I also have no knowledge.

I be very brief because of my exam tomorrow. Google /Check XDA posts/ quote me back after google/XDA
Get flashtool for Sony Xperia
http://www.flashtool.net/index.php
Install drivers from flash tool
Download ftf for your phone c2105 or 104 . check settings about for this information.(XDA Xperia l general section) @Joel16 he has wonderful guide for all this
Use flash tool to flash stock ROM. Clear portion/cache etc (google how to use it)
See if that works!
Or yoy can use Sony's own tool PC companion(find on Sony mobile website) to repair your phone!
Next Tim use folder mount app to install many big games to sdcard1.
Good luck
Is there any way to increase my Device memory(2gb) by merging it with Internal memory(4gb)? Even though I have 191mb free in device memory, the google maps and all are not getting installed in my rooted phone.

1. You must connect the phone to computer via USB cable, select ”Turn on USB storage” and unchecked the ”USB debugging” form ”Settings” --> ”Developer options” .
2. A new drive/partition will pop up on the computer Explorer. This one is your internal phone memory which, in this case has 1.29 GB.
3. Select this partition and format it 32GB, FAT32 (work for sure) or NTFS (if workable for you) as a normal PC partition.
4. Unplug the USB cable and check the size of your phone partition.
Now, your problem should be solved.

Do not do this what ever you do. This person has no idea what they are talking about.
Track down the stock software for the device. A reflash fix it. Also make sure that Jr has the hardware it claims to. Too many fakes around that lie about the hardware.
It worked for me.
This method worked for this case. I had the same problem and I find this way. Annoying situation, noway to regain the size of partition. Probably you did not experienced this case.
For sure the appropriate drivers must be installed on PC in order to communicate with the phone. It seems too easy to be true, but it works.
I tried to re-flash with different firmware versions but the size of memory was not fixed unless this method.
The partition must be formatted as FAT32 (not NTFS) and it work for sure.

Help! Partitioning my tablet Internal Storage went wrong.

Just got my new Tablet ME rainbow 7 quadcore. I rooted the device and it went fine. The tablet has 1gb phone/system storage and about 4gb of Internal storage. I partitioned the internal storage using mini tool partition wizard, followed the instructions carefully and its done.
But after I rebooted my device, somehow it got messed up. The Internal storage shows 0.00b and Misc of 20kb. I tried to access it again via my pc but when i turned on the usb storage on, I cannot access it. Need help to solve this issue
Is there a way to somehow recover my internal storage or repartition it again?
Thanks alot, hopefully anyone out there can help me.

Either you use the "format sd card/storage" function from android itself or u can use a custom recovery like ClockWorkMod to revive your storage.

tried it but no format option. I ask a friend and he said that maybe I partition and format my intrenal storage to a file system that my tablet does not recognized. As a result, my tablet does not read my internal storage. Tried to connect it also to my pc but when I choose option to turn on my usb storage, it just keep reading (circling icon).
Is there a way to repartition/format my internal storage using adb commands?
or other way to access my storage using my pc?
Thnx alot

Does mini tool partition wizard show up the partition?
EDIT: Most stock recoveries / bootloader have a option so format sd card / storage. Should be worth a try.

[How To] Enable Write to External SD Card

This app was written by Jrummy and states that it's for Kit Kat (he should probably update it as it still works). I've used it on every device I've owned since Kit Kat without a single issue. Just run the app and uninstall it when you're done (or don't but it's pointless after you've ran it). It's making a very simple (and reversible) change.
Root is required!

I use this app to enable apps to write on micro SD card

It worked fine on all my phones including moto X PE. It works on KitKat and Lollipop
Does anyone know how to use your SD card as Mass Storage when you connect it to your computer?
Currently, to write to the phone from the computer, you have to use MTP. It's too slow though. I want to be able to access my external SD like a flash drive.
I have to eject my SD card from my phone and use a SD card adapter to connect it to my computer anytime I want to make any changes.
If I could mount SD card as Mass Storage while phone is connected to computer via USB, that would make things a lot easier.

When I connect my Mate 7 to the computer, it gives me the option to mount it as a regular flash drive or as MTP.
So, I think it's possible through a software mod.
All,
I just picked up a new Pure, and already have it rooted, and while I have read/write, I can't get the dates to change to the creations date, instead, it has the copy date. Will I need a custom ROM to fix this bug???
(I use a backup program to put "MY" file on the SD, and it tries to use the date to see if there's a change, but can't because it can't change the date. I use to be able to do this with rooted devices.)
Def not working on mm
Any trick for Android 6.0.1? Can't find any working method..
nop dont work on mm, tried many apps and google, no fix
Anyone with a custom ROM know if Writes and datestamp work correctly. (Not per Google)

There is no fix for Marshmallow other than using SD card as external storage?
I have my SD Card set up as portable on my 6.0 Pure, and BitTorrent Sync has issues writing to it. It works perfectly fine on my internal device storage, but starts encountering complete screwups on the SD Card. It did work when I had the SD Card formatted as adoptable, internal storage though.

Yep Xposed runs on this ROM, it's a great one. For those here for the original thread, I contacted support and sent them my logs and they were able to solve the problem in the next app update.
I'm getting about 5h SOT with moderate-heavy usage after 24h off the charger and a lot of music (Viper too) playing with the screen off. I have a solid amount of wakelocks disabled too, so that adds to it. Still think I should be able to push out some more.
