Hi. I hope it's not here. But, is there ANY way how to disable that "mandatory messenger" popup, when I try to look at messages through my FB app? I don't have very fast phone and I have a lot of apps installed, which makes it even slower. Browser is not solution I like (no notifications, slow to get there, etc.). So if there is any solution, tell me, please.

Me and some friends mostly use twitters "direct message" function to send SMS-like short messages.
Now I had an idea if it's possible to write an app which allows you to write direct messages through a shortcut in the contacts app.
Just like I open the contact app, select the contact who should get my message, tap on "Send DM" (or something like this" and a little window opens in which I can write my message.
I don't know anything about writing apps myself so I just want to know if it's possible, of course if someone writes this app there have to be some other features, like notifications and display the characters count.

I'm sorry for posting again without responses, but I think this idea is too good to be not noticed.
The good things about this app:
-messaging about data connection, no sms costs
-messaging to everyone who has twitter and follows you
-no need that your chat partner has got this app, cause it works trough all twitter clients
-no need to sign up for another service, which only one half of your friends use
-comfortable direct messaging through a nice UI
The bad:
-only 140 characters
-no pictures, files or anything like this due to twitter limitations
I hope now someone will notice this thread
I think it already exists and is available for free in the market. The name of the app is AndroChat.

Oh, you're right and I thouht this would be a great new idea..
Androchat works, but the UI is not very comfortable, are there any alternatives?
I had a blackberry phone 9500, (stupid device) but there were a very useful thing:
I could forward sms via email or facebook or twitter etc. and vice versa, email via sms etc.
So now I want this option on my Samsung Galaxy S very, very much. I work messaging a lot and really need it.
Can somebody tell me something about this, because I searched this a week and I founded only automatic forward to email apps, also handcent app, what don't really has more functional options then the default program.
Thank you in advance!

Guys, I am working on a notifier application for vampirefreaks.com (unofficial). Luckily, I could advance with some hacky stuff. But I need more, what application does for now is, when you get a GMail from vampirefreaks.com (as notification inbox message, comment or picture comment), my app logins, checks your new notifications and display them on your notification bar. (Just like Flow for facebook).
What I want now, to delete that incoming email programmatically. But it's too hacky to do. Do anyone have an idea how to do that?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I wanted to use Wunderlist as a to-do list application. Though I allowed everything to Wunderlist (not a single battery optimization), I never receive any notifications. I had many mails with the Wunderlist support. Though they were very reactive, they did not find any solutions. Has anyone found a solution? Or does it work properly on your phone?
Thanks in advance
I don't have it installed... But I think its because of the phone's built in heavy optimization of notifications, that's why it's not showing for you. Try to keep on using the app, as the system might stop blocking the app's notifications
Hi,
i have problem with gmail notification.
I set it without restriction in battery settings but i received it only when i unlock the phone or after many time.
I read on the net but i can’t find a solution. Is possible to set gmail in autostart app?
Someone can help me?
I'm sorry but I think it is better to not get a lot of emails/messages in real time ;-)
At least I'm quite happy with Apps only working when I open them. It is somewhat frustrating if even after opening the App it does not work well, which in my case is likely caused by the Blokada App trying to filter out Ads and Tracking quite aggressively.
I haven't Block app, and I prefer to receive notification in real time.
Does everyone have this problem with gmail? With other device I haven't this problem.
Thanks

I haven't had the issues you are describing but one of the first things I did was what is in that reddit post.
Thanks, in my configuration Xiaomi service Framework is set to "optimized".
But I don't undestand the correlation with gmail notification. Only these notification are delayed, the other are ok.
Thanks
