So, XT1034 has been forgot? - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is it the only type of moto g that has not received 4.4.4 OTA?
Now i'm afraid if i can get stock android L months later.
new moto g2 is too big to hand on.

Don't feel bad us XT1031 users have been un loved and still stuck on 4.4.2 :/

I'm glad someone posted this. I was beginning to wonder if it was just my phone not getting the update. I think it's beyond ridiculous that we have got the 4.4.4 update. At this point I don't think we will.

Xt1032 US still on 4.4.3
And do not worry about L update. You can watch this http://youtu.be/v1ne0Li7hvs . On 20:50 there is a question about L update. The man said that 1st gen of moto G and X will get L as well. I think that is the reason why 4.4.4 can be delayed for some versions of G.

As already mentioned, US 4.4.4 has been delayed on most US variants of Moto G, however Boost and LTE started getting the FOTA Update in the last two weeks.
If you are tired of waiting there are other options:

Anyone has got 4.4.4 update in Middle East?

Wondering if someone in Middle East countries has got the 4.4.4 OTA since till now I have got nothing on my Moto G
EDIT: My bad mods. I'm used to posting in Generals
i have Moto G GPE and receive 4.4.4 update
GPE version always get faster than Stock, because Motorola Team works on some extra few improvements.
I am in Austria, and i haven't received any update yet, so just be patient
It shouldn't take long.

4.4.3 came to the US variant well before the Moto G GPE got an update so it is not always the case.

GPE always gets it first. Rarely this incident happens

Clearly that GPE doesn't always get it first. GPE didn't get 4.4.3 before the regular US Moto G did.

Only Motorola knows at this stage. I doubt that they would leave different versions of the Moto G on different Android versions. Only time will tell.

It might depend on where you are. I got notifications that 4.4.4 was ready for my XT1045. I got help turning those notifications off. I am in the US so it could be regional.
today we got the official release finally !
now it's the wait for lollipop 5

haven't got 4.4.4 yet

hey there, as u can see in title I haven't got 4.4.4 yet i have the 210.12.32.falcon_umts.Retail.en.US version. I live in Ireland, have they stop releasing 4.4.4 now ?
Some guys say that making root the update fails, and your version 4.4.4 was the first to be released

It looks like you have the Global American GSM version of the phone. From what I can tell, they haven't been updated as of today. USA AWS and USA Global GSM Moto G are still running 4.4.3. Only the CDMA versions are running 4.4.4 in the US. Maybe if you flash the European ROM you'll get the 4.4.4 update.
- Bad news American Moto G owners. Motorola is pulling back from the US market and focusing on India, at this point don't be surprised if you never see Android L on your device. I'm still running 4.4.3. I've heard from other Moto G users running 4.4.4 did not fix any of issues previously reported.
What are the issues specifically? XT1034 Retail Canada has had 4.4.4 - I expect US to follow.
I had to shut off my OTA because I really am not ready for 4.4.4. I have the XT1045 and US version, and it is rooted. So I am not sure why some of you who are rooted are not getting the updates. That is very interesting indeed. Does Motorola have a bigger market in India vs anywhere else for them to concentrate on the India upgrades to 4.4.4?

if we do have android L, I really doubt that India will be the only people to get android L,

nah I'll stay as I am, maybe its getting to everywhere first before the American gsm, I'm just going to wait, maybe they will stop 4.4.4 update and when android L comes out we can update straight to it first who knows, we shall wait and see
Today i get the 4.4.4 update.
XT1032 Telcel MX
So, I'm guessing that is the Global GSM US, so you'll be able to install the update soon. :highfive:

- Motorola said recently that they are releasing Android L for Moto G (Gen2) devices in India, nothing about first Gen Moto G or Android L outside of India.
Umm weird. I got a notification saying system update so I go to settings>about phone > system updates and it closes straight away. What's going on ?
Current Device : Moto G XT1032
Opps never mind its working now. I can now update to 4.4.4
Current Device : Moto G XT1032
Finally!!!
Finally, we get 4.4.4 after being stuck on 4.4.3 since June, July. I guess they forget about the Global version for a while or they are preparing us for lollipop.

[Q] Am I the only one without 4.4.4?

I thought the retail US moto g was suppose to get android 4.4.4 but I never got it. I am still on 4.4.3 and when I check for updates nothing comes up. Did everyone else get it?
Rollout for 4.4.4 was delayed due to some unknown issue (legal?) specific to US. I expect Retail US XT1032 and XT1034 will get their OTA update in the next week.

That's surprising. I was looking for that information, I suppose I am in the same scenario (see attached snapshot)?
So I'm not the only one...

No you are not. At this point I do not think we will get a 4.4.4 update. I bet it gets skipped. I've been waiting patiently for awhile now for a update because for some reason the 4.4.3 update killed my battery performance. I haven't been using my moto g as much because of this. I was hoping the 4.4.4 update would help with my battery. It's a shame we are all waiting on motorola to release another update.

My battery is working normally, but I'm really expected for the Android L update, 4.4.4 is just a "minor" update, I think.
Just got the update yesterday.

Moto G XT1033 from Brasil

Hello,
when I was in Brasil last year I had to buy a new phone as my other phone left me alone in the heart of Rio. Ok long story short.
I was just checking when I would get Android 5.0 and checked the version of my Android -> KXB21.14-L1.40 - 210.12.40.falcon.umtsds.TIM.en.BR
According to Motorola this belongs to an XT1032 Moto G 1gen. When I am looking on the package its written XT1033 basic. That one should have received OTA for Android 5 already?!?
Now what to do if I would like to get Android 5? I am not able to unlock the bootloader on the Motorola Website. Is there a way to return to the initial Android Version? So far I have only applied OTA updates.
Thanks so much for any help.
