[100% WORKING] Un-Brick ANY ANDROID DEVICE EASILY !!!!! - General Topics

100% Working method to UNBRICK ANY PHONE
PLEASE NOTE !!!!
THIS METHOD ONLY WORKS IF YOUR PHONE IS ABLE TO BOOT !!!!
IT SHOULD BE ABLE TO BOOT INTO RECOVERY !!!
ALSO NOTE- THIS ERASES ALL DATA ON PHONE.....
THIS WILL TEACH YOU TO BACKUP REGULARLY
THINGS REQUIRED !!!!
1) A BRICKED PHONE ABLE TO BOOT INTO RECOVERY....
2) {OBVIOUSLY} A BRAIN....
METHOD:
STEP-1: USING THE POWER BUTTON AND THE VOLUME-UP BUTTON, BOOT INTO RECOVERY...
(KEEP HOLDING VOLUME-UP UNTIL RECOVERY SHOWS UP)
STEP-2: WHEN YOU ARE IN THE STOCK RECOVERY, FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH THE NAVIGATION AND SELECTION BUTTONS IN YOUR DEVICE.. (EITHER THE VOLUME-UP OR POWER BUTTON...)
STEP-3: SELECT DELETE CACHE OPTION AND CLICK YES....
STEP-4: SELECT THE FACTORY RESET OPTION AND CLICK YES IN THE OPTIONS....
STEP-5:CLICK THE "REBOOT-NOW" OPTION TO REBOOT INTO A BRAND NEW DEVICE WITH YOUR STOCK ROM !!!!!!
P.S IF YOUR DEVICE WAS STUCK DURING "UPDATING GAPPS" DURING ROOTING, YOUR PHONE WILL BE ROOTED WHEN YOU BOOT !!!!!
THIS IS A VERY EASY WAY TO UNBRICK ANY ANDROID DEVICE !!!!!
THIS MAY NOT WORK ON A FEW DEVICES ..... I REALLY DONT KNOW BUT IT PRACTICALLY SEEMS POSSIBLE TO UNBRICK ANY DEVICE...
EDIT
After a few people mentioned that this method can only be used while using a stock rom....
i kinda thought about it and realized it.....
Sorry for this, but this will work on devices running stock roms......
IF THIS WORKED PLZZZ HIT THE THANKS :good: BUTTON !!!!!!

Btw you are a kid if a person has made changes to rom or bricked while making changes while making changes to rom it gonna do nothing as factory reset only deletes all user data it gonna un brick if you bricked it while using xposed module or something like that so remove this non sense post

And you have to have a working Stock Rom on your device

Phone isn't bricked if it works under the listed requirements though

When I try to access recovery using the VolUp+Power keys only a blank screen is shown. Normal boot and android OS works alright.
I flashed back my original recovery using the same method. It works properly now. So I should conclude that the recovery file you gave us is not working properly

SOME GREAT NEWS!
jyo tested the cwm!! the blackscreen is still there but the cwm funtions are working!!
like he booted into recovery and then pressed the power button after sometime (without pressing any volume keys) & boom the phone restarted!!! BTW the first option which the menu selects on the cwm is "reboot phone" and selection is done by power button..

Can you make a cwm skin so that it'll show options!
Well frankly what I feel is that after trying hundreds of devices, what I think is that what a56 needs is a fresh compile, porting not gonna work! By the way there is no phone exactly similar to the a56!! If some has a compatible processor then it does not have the same resolution! & same is the case other way round!! I have never given up on any project so far, but this thing does not seem to be achieved by porting only! Anyways guys like before, search for that device which is having a Qualcomm msm 7627 a and same resolution as the a56....otherwise this project gonna be dead..
Sent from my Micromax A110 using xda app-developers app
@Clement.. see while getting compiled for a device, the cwm also gets compiled for that resolution! So even if I change any thing, the display will not come bcoz it was compiled FOR a different screen resolution than the a56!! That's what stopping everything! Or we are just inch away..

Sir, forgive me if I am wrong, but I believe its a matter way beyond resizing images. The current status of CWM recovery is that it gives a BLANK SCREEN. There is nothing being shown on the display. So, how can it be a resize issue? But you do know more tell me if I am wrong.

[Q] P920 reboots only into CMW recovery

Hey guys, I have a little or rather big problem regarding my LG P920. It only boots into CWM, but here the story:
A few days back I updated my phone to the newest version with the official LG Support tool. After this the performance of my phone went downhill. Scrolling, swiping, typing – all those things lagged and lagged.
So I decied to root my phone using this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2366916
Everything worked out fine, I uninstalled some annoying system apps but found that the performance didn’t improve all too much. I went to the next step: custom ROM.
I used this guide: http://www.android-hilfe.de/anleitu...s-custom-roms-fuer-anfaenger.html#post5147071
It’s German, so I’ll try to describe what exactly I did.
First I flashed a ported ICS:
1. I Installed the LG Flash tool 1.2
2. I downloaded this ICS (http://d-h.st/QgU : XBSA404_AP.bin and XBSA404_CP.fls) and also the LGP920_110622.dll
3. I uninstalled the LG drivers and installed the CDMA drivers (version 4.9.4) to make sure the phone is listed as ‘LGE CDMA USB Serial Port’ and changed it to port 41
4. I then flashed that ICS (with .bin and .fls), got to 80% and finished
5. The ICS booted with no problem (only problem: it didn’t seem to recognize my German SIM, but whatever)
Then I installed a new bootloader and CWM:
1. I downloaded Omap4boot v1.25a (forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=1641950&d=1358098807)
2. And then installed the OMAP4430 drivers through the device manager
3. I downloaded the non-touch CWM v6.0.1.9
4. And then installed CWM using the ‘start_fastboot.bat’ from the omap4boot folder
After this I decided to flash CM 7.2:
1. I downloaded it from the official CM website and put it onto my SD Card
2. I started my phone into CWM using the button combination and made a backup first
3. I wiped data/factory reset and started to flash the .zip from my SD Card
4. At around 60% the progress bar got stuck at ‘Installung Update’ nothing happened for 30mins so I pulled the battery
5. I tried it again and again – no luck
After this is where it all went wrong (at least I think so)
I noticed that CWM gave me this error quite a few times: Can’t mount internal SD Card
I googled it and read somewhere to do a factory reset from the android menu.
So I restored my backup, rebooted into android, went into the menu and selected factory reset.
The phone went through some progress windows and then powered off and rebooted – into CWM.
From this point on I never got it to NOT boot into CWM.
I tried many things:
1. Restore backup again – no luck
2. Flash ROMS again (CM 7.2, 7 nightly, 10 nightly) – no luck (the installation actually finished, but reboots into CWM)
3. Flash stock ROM using the Flash tool (v21.e) – reboot into CWM
4. All kinds of combinations of wiping/formatting data/cache/dalvik/system/batterystats etc in CWM
5. This guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1942836 and the rebooter tool mentioned at the end
6. Using the official LG Support tool to reset upgrade errors – stuck at 4% of installing
I saw another post which suggested to flash universal_recoveryloop_breaker.zip, but this apparently didn’t work and got the phone stuck at LG logo – should I even try it?
I saw other post with similar problems but always another model –p925 or p720 and not much information given about what they did, that’s why I went into detail and hope to find a cure
I saw drastic00's guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39269819 suggested a lot but wanted to post this first before I try a second guide that might only make things worse.
I spend the last few days in front of my PC and phone but nothing worked – I’m starting to go nuts..
I am willing to try everything, to provide any information you might need to help me figure out how to fix this.
Thank you for any help provided – it is greatly appreciated
If stuck at LG logo try factory hard reset.
Try dreccons recovery loop breaker

It's not stuck at the LG Logo, it boots into CWM and I can go through everything and do everything in CWM.
Would you suggest I try your guide first or try hard reset? If your guide - what exactly should I do, where be cautious? And how do you perform a factory hard reset?

I saw this being suggested in this thread as well: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2441478
But when he wrote that after trying that he didn't even get into recovery anymore I got scared
You said you flashed and it sticks at LG logo. If you are flashing the correct files, not a wrong binary, factory reset should fix that.
Can you enter download mode? i.e. hold vol up, connect usb to pc, insert battery. You should see "S/W". If not you might need xbsall's or Karim Kahale's unbrick guide. If you DO have download mode, you can just flash as in my guide. But I can't stress enough that drivers must be installed to pc correctly.
Ported ics is old and from the Korean device. Could be cmod is not compatible, dunno, but that could be the issue. In that case you may have a 'hard brick.' Wrong ROM with wrong firmware.
Wait so did u flash recovery loop breaker or not? I am confused. If not flash it. It will delete your recovery then you got to flash another but worth it
Sent from my LG-P920 using xd app-developers app
I have never had recovery loop, so yeah, you might try what Niko says first.
Flashing will redo your OS, etc. but if you have just a recovery loop you may not need to start over from scratch...

Sorry for the confusion: I didn't try to flash recovery loop breaker. I just saw another thread in which a guy had a similar problem to mine, someone suggested he should try loop breaker, he did and atferwards his phone got stuck at the LG Logo, that's why I hesitated to try this.

I don't know what exactly I have sorry, this is my first time rooting, flashing and all that.
The phone only boots into recovery. I can flash other ROMs, I can restore backups and do everything else in CWM, but when I reboot I get booted into CWM again.
I was hesitant to try the loop breaker, because I saw the other thread, but I will try it this afternoon and tell you how it went.
Just a quick question: what if I end up stuck at the LG Logo afterwards?
Update:
I flashed the recovery loop breaker and flashed CM7.2.
When I now start the phone the LG Logo appears for a few seconds, then a white screen with small dots/pixels comes up and the phone is stuck there..
sooooo.. i think this is not good.. right?
I started to prepare for drastic's guide, downloaded all the files and will do that tomorrow or the day after, or would you suggest something else I should try first?
I have never installed cmod so I don't know.
You can follow my guide if you want. Like I say, drivers must be installed correctly and you must pay attention to details.
Doing random things is not going to help you.
Why do u want cm 7 anyway? if I would want CM I would go for Cm 10 (my current rom lol) and If i would want GB i would one with 3D support
Sent from my LG-P920 usin xda app-developers app
The loop breaker said to flash a new ROM afterwards, CM7 was the only thing I had at hand, so I tried it.
Right now I don't really care which ROM I flash, I just want to use my phone again :crying:
I'll try your guide if you don't have other suggestions so far, let's hope I don't end up in a recovery loop again - this is driving me mad
I will keep you posted on how it goes with your guide or if I have any questions. Thanks so far !

:confused?: So after you flashed loop breaker what exactly did you do? After flashing loop breaker u need new Recovery not ROM if you reboot and try get into recovery which is not there you gonna end up at lg logo. Is that what you did? Anyway if you do follow drastic00's guide you should be able to revive your phone..TWRP Recovery is integrated in xbsa rom (am I right drastic00? not sure) I would recommend you try xbsa v8 first then you can decide if u want different rom
Also drastic don't want to bring my stuff here but you know what I said about weird startup screen ? He probably got the same thing he said he sees white screen with pixels and dots . Still no clue what could be reason?
Sent from my LG-P920 using xda app-developers app
I have not had this particular problem so I don't know what could be the cause.
Flashing xbsall's v28B rooted ICS should recover the device as long as the phone can enter S/W mode. Yes, it has built in TWRP recovery, but it resides in system partition, not recovery partition. Any old TWRP backups you may have are probably not compatible with this method of custom recovery, so keep that in mind.
You will have a recovery loop when you try to factory reset your device using the soft reset like this
Settings>Backup & reset>factory data reset
Dont do this if you have custom recovery
To do a factory reset use cwm/twrp and choose wipe data/restore to factory setting
---------- Post added at 03:25 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:18 PM ----------
And to recover on this thing you have to reflash a stock firmware using kdz update or lg flashtool.
I cant provide you links. Im on mobile use. Try to search on forum. Im on mobile use

Thanks for all your help, now I just need to explore everything in this custom ROM
Is there a explanation or guide of all the apps in this ROM? I've installed XBSA v8, maybe I'll upgrade to vR3D soon, how much better is it?
Edit: On a second thought...
THIS ROM IS BASED ON CANADIAN ROGERS V30C AND IT HAS NATIVE SUPPORT FOR ENGLISH, FRENCH AND SOME ASIAN LANGUAGES.

Don't mess with a new phone if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
Now your phone is soft-bricked.
Download this (FOR GT-I8260) or this (FOR GT-I8262) stock firmware and use ODIN to flash it to your phone, as described in this post (thanks to Omkar$).
I am not responsible if you hard brick your phone.
Soft-bricking was your mistake, and there is no reason to be mad at us.

then i decided to flash ics stock (as I always do when i have a problem) , i put the phone in ap FastBoot .. Select the firmware and started the rsd process
all ended well ... unplug the phone and restart
ohh surprise! ... The phone does not boot, i cant even see the motorola logo, the phone just stuck there
Additional detail: this is the first time i flash firmware after losing my cid
Can someone help me?
Thanks in advance

Try Factory Reset and Clear Cache from Stock Recovery.
I've tried that too, but nothing happens ...
Again I clarify the symptoms:
Point 1 - When the phone starts, shows the motorola logo and the message "Error CustomerID Contact Dealer Boot to Suspend / MDCT mode: 0000:00000000:000000 cc.". Then the screen gets black and nothing happens
Point 2-If I turn on the phone by holding down the volume keys (+ / -) and the power button (boot mode selection menu) and select any of the options ... the screen goes black and nothing happens
Point 3 - If I turn on the phone by holding down the volume key (-) and the power button (ap fastboot flash mode) ... I can connect the phone, start and finish the flashing process correctly. When the process ends it happens again point 1 or point 2
It may be a hardware failure?

Install bmm from Google play..then u will be able to boot normally.

I installed bmm, but there is a problem ... boot menu manager requires root ...
when I try to root the phone, the process automatically restarts the phone and gets stuck on the motorola logo (since it no longer resets normally) ... then the root process can never be completed :crying:
I will continue doing more tests
when the phone starts normally, something similar to the root process of jelly bean leak happens ...
the method for jelly bean leak was something like this (the swapp method):
1 - the phone began in ap fastboot mode
2 - using a command line, the ics boot.img sends to the phone
3 - then the phone is unplugged from the usb cable and restarted
4 - the phone boots and gets a black screen
5 - plug the phone to the usb cable again and run the root tool for ics
5 - the phone restart 3 times (the root process is done)
6 - restart the phone in ap fast boot again
7 - using a command line, the jelly bean boot.img sends to the phone
8 - restart the phone and all is done
so....what is happening with my atrix 2 is something like step 4, is like boot.img is missing or corrupted
SOLVED : I boot using bp tools, then i found a root method that works , finally i get my phone rooted...so i've installed bmm and booted fine again....thx to those who takes the time to answer in this post

I download 2 scrips here in xda atrix 2 forum, 1 of those doesnt work (the process reboot the phone and get bootlooping), the other one works. I don't remember the post, but i can upload it and give you the link if you need it.

If BMM is not appearing at startup, then FXZ is only option !!
FXZ (with your region)---->>root--->> install BMM---->> flash ROM.
Watch BMM video tutorial available in general section, for proper BMM usage

thank you ..! I resolved the problem already doing that

Recovery only..

I have a Oneplus One here and tried to install a rom onto it after wiping everything.
When I plug it in the charger it goes to recovery, when I reboot to bootloader it does the same, after flashing too.
How can I recover it?
Did you install TWRP or CWM ? If so try another rom , if not read up on adb and install custom recovery first and find out if your bl is unlocked , if not start there , theres alot of reading you need to do

I have TWRP. I had a rom installed so the bootloader is unlocked. All the guides suggest fixing it via fastboot but I cannot access that.. I think the partitions are messed up...

Hey I think you have same problem as me. It's the volume button. It's stuck at Volume - (down). So every time you start your phone, it think you want to go to Recovery. What I did was, I tap the phone little hard on my hand sideways when I boot it up. That unstucks the volume button.
It works for me but not sure if it is the correct way. Just a suggestion. Don't hold me responsible if it breaks anything else.

I wish it was that easy. I didn't have the back cover on it when I tried this.
Did you have a backup of the previous rom (if one) that would save you the trouble, if not , adb
