[APP][4.3+][v1.01] Spotify Ad Blocker - Android Apps and Games

Hi,
I would like to present my first app:
Spotify ad blocker automatically mute sound when this is detected as Spotify advert. Spotify have to run in background to allow Spotify ad blocker to analyze notification.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fullmono.android.blockify
=> Why a paid app?
Simply because I'm a student, I would like to get back my Google Developper Licence. But once done, it will be free of charge and I will open the sources.
=> What Next?
I'm going to wait one week to get some comment. After that I will improve it or, if nobody want it, I will stop development and... Open the sources
=> Any comment?
Feel free to comment, I'm here to learn and improve my skills.

What is autoaudio?

I still get ads..can't tell if it's reducing them or not

I'll give it a try, always wanted to get rid of those annoying ads.

Not working for me on the LG G3. Hope you can get it fixed though!

Just download Spotify admodify. This one lets you add ads that may have not been detected to be muted next time but overall blocks em without me having to do that 95% of the time

For me it does. Haven't had any issues so far but of course every now and then when an ad it doesn't recognize gets through all you have to do is press add advert and next time that comes up it's automatically muted since it saves

Tested this baby out on my rooted LG G3 and it's not working

I think the main problem here is that the app is not creating a notification. If your app does not create a permanent notification, the Android System is likely to kill your service whenever it feels like it. This can be when it is low on resources, or just doesn't want to continue running it for any other reason. If you have a notification, Android is not allowed to kill the process randomly. This is why AdBlock Plus and Tasker create notifications. Create a notification, that will help. Also you should keep this up to date so it knows how to block newer ads.

Worked initially for me, but has since stopped.
Either way, your work is much appreciated. - Thank you.

If you're phone is rooted you can try AdFree: https://play.google.com/store/apps/...DEsImNvbS5iaWd0aW5jYW4uYW5kcm9pZC5hZGZyZWUiXQ..
This is by far the most effective adblocking app.
I use AdAway from the Play Store, does the job for me. Any ad blocker will do though, as long as you're rooted.
Also, if the app doesn't require the Internet then you can turn the data connection off when using it. I used to do that with Angry Birds before I rooted my phone.

use adaway.. it's simple and very user friendly.. Ads also annoy me, we share the same prob.. so glad if it could help you out..
Are these apps for free? I want to remove the annoying ads as well.
The ads are there to support developer.
If you really want to remove them, the easiest way is to use your phone offline whenever you are using the add supported app

but, if I use my tablet offline, there's not much that I can do with it since a lot of apps require data plan to run
re:
The best ad blocker is ''AD Blocker Trial'' try it all, it's free on play store and doesn't require root acsses, that's simple ya...
Use a firewall (e.g. Droidwall), set filtering to "whitelist" and only allow those applications that really must have internet access. That will not only block ads but also prevent apps from phoning home other sensitive data. Of course, you need a rooted device for this.
Try Adfree friend.. you can download in play store!
i have try it
Some roms have it built in
Find a rom that has ad blocker already in the list of extras.
play store has removed ad removing apps?
Hmm, it looks like the ad removing apps are gone from the play store (which I guess I understand from googles point of view - they probably get a few pennies for these ads also).. Is there another place to get these? Amazon app store has "ad-blocker pro", but the 3 reviews all say it doesn't work..
Is there non-store place for some of these.. We can load a rom yet with ads removed for the LG Motion 4G, but removing the ads would be good enough for me

Ah indeed.. Apparently I'm too much of a newbie to allowed to post links, but google "pcmag" and "ad-block" and I guess you'll see the article.. I do see that the apps are available on f-droid (which is an open source apps store that I can't post a link to either - google is usually your friend here)...

For AdAway, check F-Droid. AdFree can be found at the Adfree Android Homepage.
As both work using a modified /etc/hosts file, one could also manipulate that manually. But that would be quite a hazzle :silly:
I remember there was one app that worked by disabling the ad modules themselves -- which would be much more interesting to me. I just cannot figure out which app that was. Any hints?

Not all ads are from services like Google. Some are built into the app (for example, between turns or levels or attempts). I don't know how Crunchy Roll works - I looked it up on Play, and it looks like the premium service is the way to get rid of ads. So it's probably something on their (server) end that eliminates ads, rather than a paid version of the same app.

Not sure if this is too late, but when Crunchyroll first released their android app, they made a mistake. The app did not display any ads at all. Even though you should always update your apps, I kept this one out dated solely because it does not show any ads.
If you want the apk, you can find it yourself (It was version 0.7.2 I believe) or you can click on the link below

[APP][4.0+] VolumeSlider - Change volume by sliding finger up/down screen's edge

Do you miss traditional wheel-style volume rockers? Or are the volume buttons on your device broken? Are you always hitting the wrong one? Try VolumeSlider, the volume button replacer. Control up to four different volume streams* on the same screen by simply sliding your finger up or down the edges of the screen. It's that easy.
*Controlling 2 or 4 streams simultaneously requires the ad-free, paid version (just a buck!). Free version allows controlling one stream on the left or right side. Free version contains banner and interstitial ads and will indicate when an interstitial ad is about to be shown.
Install from the Play Store or download the apk below

Not working on Google pixel 2 xl.
@clownFace - Is there any way you could upload the full version here? I've purchased it back in the day and it was amazing!!! Unfortunately after installing a custom ROM a couple of weeks ago I've had to give up on it because it's not available in the Play Store/XDA anymore. I understand if you don't want to support it anymore, but if you don't expect any $$ from it anyway, can you please share the full version so we can use it? At least as long as it works in its current form. Cheers

bought app and it worked fine....,
but now accessibility keeps to switch from ON to OFF always , don't know why

[APP][5.0+][ROOT] Play Music Exporter

Hey everybody,
some of you might have known this app, but that hasn't been updated in a while. I therefore decided to fork the "new" beta a few months back, and I got that working again and extended it a bit.
What is it?
Basically, it's an app that takes the cached and downloaded songs of Google Play Music, adds ID3 tags to them from the database of GPM, searches for covers online, and saves all that together in an MP3 wherever you want.
Bug reports and Feature Requests:
If you have any questions, feel free to ask here, or in the matrix discussion room. If you find any bugs, or have feature requests, please check the issue tracker on github, if you can't find it, report it there, post in this thread, or write a message in the discussion room linked above.
Download:
You can download the app either on F-Droid, or XDA-Labs. Please note though, that the release to F-Droid is a bit faster, since it is automatic, and I only add a release on XDA-Labs, after it has been successfully published to F-Droid.

Hey jcgruenhage! Many thanks for the app, that helps you to get all your cached music from Google Play Music All Access. And also, many thanks for the tipp, that it is possible to get the unprotected mp3 directly on PC from GMPAA with help of Remix OS Player.

Yes, as it says in the description
Thank you so much for your rework of the initial app !
This is now working again (Galaxy S6 under LL) and actually perfect !
I love the concept of this app, however I'm having issues. No matter where I set the export location (internal or external) or where Google has the music saved (again, internal or external), the app gets through a few hundred songs then seems to freeze on one randomly. The app doesn't crash or give me an error, it just seems to stop working. This is regardless of whether the device is awake, asleep, running other apps, running nothing, etc. It seems to move progressively slower in exporting each song until it just decides to stop.

Edit: saw your request for issues to be posted on Git. Sorry.

Well, I guess if I post this here, I should be able to check every now and then, just changed the description above, post issues wherever you want, I'll collect them on github ^^
On to your issue however: There have been a few people reporting this on the original app, and so far, I have not found the cause. However, using the automatic export, I have seen a few hundred songs getting exported without any delay, so maybe unifying the export calls of these two operations might help.
Doesn't work with MagiskSU.

Music Mate is different in a two key points:
Closed Source and "needs" a lot of permissions, in addition to costing money.
Interacts with the Google Servers instead of the local storage.
The first one is a big problem for privacy reasons, you're giving yet another company data about you, that they can use for whatever they want. The second is even worse, since that means that Google can find out about you ripping music/violating their terms of service, without even looking on your phone. This is true for any app using unofficial Play Music APIs.
If you are going to use something like that, I'd recommend GMusicProxyGui. That is free, open source, and probably even uses the same backend (gmusicproxy) for downloading the songs.

Ah true true. I didn't even think about that. I used to use a program for Windows (Song Spout) that did basically the same thing and cost $10 a year (originally). It probably used the same method as Music Mate.
I've been using Music Mate because I've been running my phone unrooted for a while due to that damned Safety Net. Thankfully, my tablet is in the "couldn't care less about Safety Net" group so this will work on it.
Thanks for updating this app. :good:

Im a complete newby with android. The only suspiciou thing i can find is configAPK? This has no icon either.
I found this in Settings > Apps
Provide a list of all 3rd party apps you installed.
ES File Explorer is one of the apps that does this, uninstall it if found.
If the pop-up shows up press the recent button in navigation bar so you can see the title of the application.
BTW, try this ad blocker. It worked for all applications on my phone. No root needed.

Factory reset your phone and in future only download apps from Play Store. This will solved a lot issue since you are new to Android.
Also read description and user feedback 1st before download.
I had loads of ads popping up, but now I'm rooted with Adhell, Adguard and Adblockplus installed.
that = bye bye ads..lol.:good:
Matt
I encountered a similar problem and it wasn't related to downloading an application. Somehow got directed to one of those click here to win web pages, then shortly after a similar ad would pop up randomly when browsing on Chrome. Since this is the first phone I had without adaway didn't realize websites I use to go to had this redirection.
I think what happens is either a cookie or a notification is made on the browser app. After reseting the phone, installing adhell, disabling notifications for Chrome/Samsung internet haven't encountered the problem.
You could install the official AdBlock extension for the Samsung browser...
I got loads of ads pop up after installing movie hd
Caused by Samsung
This is without a doubt caused by samsung. I "Upgraded" from a nexus 6p to a s8 active last week and actually have less third party apps than before. I NEVER had full screen pop up ads before the switch. Same carrier, same number, same Google account, etc.
I just can't figure out how to stop it yet.

Clicking on X means you're just deleting it on the screen, but it will appear anywhere and anytime, because you didn't shut them down completely ,they're really annoying
S8+ Adds
I had the same problem with a brand new S8+
Turns out it was Messenger
I deleted Messenger then reinstalled and Wullah! Adds gone

If the pop-up shows up press the recent button in navigation bar so you can see the title of the application.
BTW, try this ad blocker. It worked for all applications on my phone. No root needed.

AdHell was removed from the Play Store and shut down by the developer at the request of Samsung.

configAPK sounds like the source of your problem as it is a scam apk uninstall.
Opt Out
Google for opt out and chose to opt out all companies from DAAC (Digital Advertising Alliance of Canada)
It take a few tries to complete for all companies but it worth trying.

Hello.
Just got my s8+ two days ago and i already have a problem with ads.
Every now and then some random ad pops up. Its a fullscreen ad with a x to click away at the top right.
I already tried avg and adguard. But no luck so far.

I had the same problem with my note 8. What you have to do is go into settings and open up your app list. At the very bottom of the list of apps you'll see something that doesn't have an icon. It's a piece of adware from one of those popup ads that says you want something from Amazon. Just delete it. No need to factory reset

I imagined there HAD to be a way to ID the source of these annoying ads that pop-up when no apps are open.
But where is the "Recent button" and the "Navigation bar"? I should know, I've owned several Galaxy S series phones over the years.

Factory reset your phone and in future only download apps from Play Store. This will solved a lot issue since you are new to Android.
Also read description and user feedback 1st before download.

I wonder if that is the answer. I have NEVER downloaded an apps not found in the playstore and I started getting these adds several months ago
