Hey everyone!
I am looking to buy the Xperia L, but will it be a good idea to go for it as it seems the phone is plagued by multi touch issues. What's the point in buying a brand new phone with problems. So please tell me if all the Xperia L phones are suffering from this issue or only a minor chunk are facing the problem. And will it be a good buy for gaming and multi tasking?
Thanks in advance, waiting for reply!!

Don't buy this phone if you're willing to spend that much money.
There are certain other options that you can go for. Xperia L is buggy and it doesn't get official updates. Looks like Sony has abandoned this phone. The camera is terrible. Not to forget the multi touch issues.
If you're from India then you certainly have some really good options.
Hit thanks if it helped

Yeah, multitouch is hardware problem, nothing that you can fix yourself.(but of course you can change touch screen)
Sony abandomed Mid-range phones, maybe because JB is best stable build for now.? I don't know. But I have learned my lesson.
Do not buy any Sony phones for now on. Why? For e.g. look how much changes in Xperia Z2-Z3... It's pathetic.
Don't even try to buy this! There are much better phones for the same price, e.g. Moto G. Like @abhi007.john said, XL is a very buggy device.
Buy a Moto G2
Sorry guys for this extremely late reply!!
Forgot to tell I bought the Xperia SP on 9/9 only to hear the dreaded news about eol the next morning -_-.
Anyway thanks everyone.

Guys I need some advice, I now have an old Omnia HD that I should change the battery and also because I'm tired of Symbian switch to Android.
I am interested in a phone that can last as my dear Omnia HD, and Xperia have wavered between S and some quadcore as HTC or the next S3?
I remember that multimedia is important for me as well as the stability of the system. What do you advise me?
Thanks
TD
Just bough yourself a note
You won't need quad cores for at least a year, I think. Not all apps are optimized to dual core, they won't be for quad core.
As a Sony (Ericsson) fan, I would buy Xperia S (I actually will buy it in April, if everything goes right). Nice design, beautiful screen, ICS coming soon, unlockable bootloader (yeah, there is already a pre rooted .ftf for it, in 1 week, at max).
I don't like Sammy neither HTC because of their designs, prices, sizes and disponibility (I never saw a HTC Android phone on Brazil).
and the battery could be a problem? it has to charge faster, but less harsh?
?

Ignore them.
Anyway, I know Xperia S charge really fast, from many reviews I read. And, toghether with a special charger (not released yet) in 10 minutes, you would have battery for 1 hour.
What Sony is doing wrong is their "almost old hardware" (Snapdragon S3, as S4 is coming out soon (I really don't know exactly what is better between those two, but expert users says there is some improvement.))
Anyway, Xperia S is an amazing phone. Just go to phonearena or GSMarena and check out ther reviews.
Thanks for the availability
so you advise me to buy this Sony and not wait?
thanks again
row now
i think its S

Yeah.
Good shopping, see you in some months in Xperia S forums.
Xperia X10 Mini Pro with CM9 by paul-xxx
Have you seen the review of TheVerge?
I think it's anti-sony.
another thing that stops me from the purchase is that everyone complains about the lack of reactivity of soft touch buttons. So there are problems with the three keys!
What do you think?
Hello there. I've been considering these days to buy this device but lately I'm getting really discouraged to do so. I watched at least a dozen videos about the j and at least as many reviews. A couple of them praise the device for its display and okay performance for this price but most of the reviews are strongly negative and some even advise not to buy it at all. My mobile carrier offers me to buy Xperia J with a 2-year contract for 6 euro mothly without changing my plan. Is it a deal or I should reconsider it? I'm ot a tight budget and the only other option for this price range is Galaxy ace plus but I don't think I'll manage to live with its awful resolution.
Any opinions? Thanks
Better pick j over ace plus with its 2.3.6. Sure, theres negative reviews. But that will once you mod the phone. Bigger screen resolution always win over cheap smaller ones.

well if you're not the "hardcore mobile gamer type" and would just normally use the phone for call/text/internet/music plus some few movies then xperia j might be for you..forget galaxy ace plus...
I hate galaxys i bought an ace s5830i and the digitizer cracked very easily samsungs build quality is very poor even on there more reasont models ebay is full of wrecked galaxys the j is not that bad especialy for the price after a few mods it is very easy to live with. a duel core dose not mean better performance my partner has an xperia u and it is really bad worse than a stock j the screen redraws take a life time opening an app i even longer and multitasking forget about it lol.

A lot of online reviews are for the older ICS version of Xperia J which wasn't great.
If your just using the phone, messaging, facebook, twitter etc.. It's fine and smooth as butter with the current Jelly Bean release.
If your into photo's, movies, netflix, gaming, then it's definitely not the phone for you.
dont go for ACE coz there will be a problem later on with its physical memory saying its full and u might not be able to install apps.. Xperia J just think about it.. i would rather buy Xperia L its kinda close to the budget !!!
Hey thanks for the answers. I really appreciate it
It will be my first mobile phone with Android so I really don't know what to expect exactly. I'll be using it for music, web-browsing, reading documents and snap a photo here or there. I am not a heavy gamer at all but I find it rather disappointing I won't be able to watch HD videos :/
I also read comments that with the new update most of the lag got fixed and it's more stable now.

L was just introduced to the market where I live at (Bulgaria) and the price is kinda high - 260 euros without contract. The problem is that I want to buy a phone from my carrier with leasing and their catalogue is very poor in terms of device choice. For the money J was the only reasonable phone I could pick out.
I could wait for Sony to release their Xperia M that was introduced a few hours ago because it has everything I could ask for. But I am in real need of a phone right now. I can wait but I've been waiting for moths already.
I still haven't decided firmly but if I don't reconsider my choice I'll be buying the J this Thursday
if that's the case then go for it !!!
Hey guys, how u doin?
Last week and half, I think about buying some xperia phone... I just fell in love with them so its almost uncompatible to find or choose any phone among other brands. But good camera is very important for me.. Not good, but the best x) Was thinking about Xperia U or J maybe P which is more expensive but not as much as I would tolerate..
Whats your experiences with some Xperias and their cameras? Which would be the best choice for my hands to fit 130€ price (from second hand) ?
Thanks for any advice or feedback and have a great day as I did
Cheers from Slovakia, Ewors.

seems nobody is interested in answering these type Queries.. :silly:
Anyway, i have an Acro S, and i can tell you its the best camera phone i have had..(except the old Sony Ericsson K series and new 2013 series) :good:
Thanks for your reply . I decided to buy xperia S cus I find him very reasonable priced (for about 100€) and I have to say, that I´ve never seen camera like that Its comparable with my HTC desire x) I hopefully think that this phone will surprise me with all his functions at all
i think P
a friend of mine "s" and I have the "p" ..
We compared and it would seem that P makes the picture better.
Maybe because with "WhiteMagic" everything is better
Hello,
At the moment i have an Sony Xperia S (lt26i), I have this phone for about two and a half years now and i want something else.
The thing is that i'm not sure what to get.
The Sony never let me down (only the lack of updates) so i was thinking about buying a Sony Z3 or an One Plus One.
What do guys recommend ?
I'm from the Netherlands so the phone has to be available here and i have about 530 euros.
There are not many things that i really really need on my phone i just want it to be reliable.
Please help me out here, ty
It's been two years since i first had my hands on this 'affordable nexus' and everyday i've enjoyed using it. I've been using devices with stock like android since a long time. So, I'd like some suggestions based on these things:
1. Stock android/iOS
2. Not a huge phone, small one would be good (iPhone SE maybe?)
Please, your suggestions are valuable.

In a world where smartphones are getting bigger and bigger every year, small phones (which are good) are really hard to find. You can look into the Sony Xperia compact line-up or else an iPhone.

Oh yeah. I tried to get a z3 compact before but ended up buying the Moto G3. I don't really like iPhones but there's no denying that it's a solid phone. So iPhone SE should be good. That's all the suggestions I can offer for now. Good luck:fingers-crossed:
