Personally, I had a Moto G and he was WCDMA (3G, H, H +) in the two SIM slots and found out after I bought the Xperia C is only WCDMA SIM slot 1 and SIM slot 2 is only 2G. This is hardware or is there anything that can be changed in android to enable the WCDMA Sim slot 2.
Thank you

Hardware supports 3g, H+ and H on both sim cards. It is not allowed by Sony's software. You can fix it yourself.
Procedure is on www.informationlord.com
Thanks for the tip, I'll do today.

Hi everyone.
Is there any dual sim phone in the market that will work in 3G network at the same time?
I am currently here in korea, where phone only works in 3G (UMTS 2100 I think) signal.
So if I have a dual sim, 3G should work on both sim at the same time.
Thanks a lot.

have you tried this phones on both 3G networks?
I read some articles regarding dual sim phone that even though it supports 3G on both sims they dont usually work at the same time, 1 in 2G and other in 3G.
Thanks.
Yes there are many types of phones came with 2 sim cards.
such as samsung & lg
but i heared about a piece that you can buy it seperatelly and insert it into the phone which make it possible to fit 2 sim cards at the same time

yah, i saw a lot of dual sim phones.. but the problem is, if it will both work at the same time in 3G networks.. since only 3G signal is supported here in korea..
I know this thread is old, but I have the exact problem right now. Dual Sim in korea, with one korean and one foreign sim card does not work!
Too bad...
Hi all:
As far as I heard that the Dual SIM version of Moto G is only support for 3G+2G. I would like to ask whether if we can choose which SIM to run on 3G by simply changing the option on setting, rather than we have to plug the SIM card on the dedicated SIM slot (e.g. SIM 1 or SIM 2) in order to ensure that we can enjoy 3G network on a certain SIM card?
May I ask if anyone who is using the Dual SIM version of Moto G and check this out for me, Please?
Thanks in advance!

Yes!
Only the first sim slot supports 3G network(also 2G) but the second sim slot supports only 2G.
You can use 3G services only in sim one.

That's what I am afraid of!
I'll prefer that it can choose 3G/2G mode by selecting the mode on setting rather than by the SIM card slot! Otherwise, I would have to swap the cards in order to get the thing done!!! Also, there is another drawback by choosing the 3G mode by the SIM slot. Since you have to swap the cards in order to use 3G mode on one of the sim card, you may have to re-certified your whatsapp/line once you are swapping your card!! That's pretty troublesome for users!!
Anyway, thanks for your help!!
Can anyone let me know if the S8+ Dual Sim is 4G/3G as Australia is turning off all 2G networks.
Thanks
It's 4G/3G/2G (SIM 1) + 4G/3G/2G (SIM 2).
TL;DR: LTE/LTE.
Pretty sure that SIM 2 is GSM only

It's 4G/3G for my 955FD
Sent from my SM-G955F using Tapatalk
Both SIMs are 3G and 4G, but you can use as 4G only one and the other one will be max 3G, or if you prefer can be 2G as well. This is not so relevant, since you switch the SIM cards for internet use (since you can not use both cards in the same time for data usage) it will change settings to 4G for the preferred SIM immediately.
Moto g xt1033 :
Sim slot 1 is damaged
So I am using only second sim slot.
But I am unable to switch to 3g on second sim.
3g network comes for few seconds and again switches to 2g.
Is there any way I can force 3g on second sim? I have rooted device
I know the phone testing menu method but it's not working
