Hi, my new THL5000 android phone running KitKat 4.4.2 apears OK until I install new apps from play store. All the icons have a solid bold colour behind them which looks tacky and ugly. Anyone else come across this with this phone or any other KitKat device. My previous THL W8 beyond phone on JB 4.2.1 didn't do it.

Hi everyone.
Yesterday i updated from stock 4.0.3 ROM to a 4.1.2 ROM and i noticed right away that there was a quality loss in all small font.
It´s specially visible in the notification area.
I been trying all sort of ROMS, and ALL are the same.
The first ROM i tried was the oficial Siberia samsung 4.1.2 release. Then i tried the Samsung 2.0 from the devolopers section, and now the Zap Blaster wich is 4.1.1.
All are the same, i can´t get back the clear font i used to have in notification and in apps that use small fonts, this is very bad when there´s dark background.
Any idea why this happens? Anyone else noticed this? Is there a workaround?
Should i take pictures to show you?
Hi, guys! I was wondering if someone had my same problem with icons while using GNL (Google Now Launcher) on a 4.4 KitKat device. I'll try to explain: the launcher works perfectly in all his functions on my device (I have got a Samsung Galaxy S3 Neo+ with Android 4.4.2) but I noticed a strange problem everytime I restarted the phone or turned it on after the night: some icons seem to disappear from my home pages. At the beginning I used not to notice it so much and I used to put them back at their places but after some time the problem became stressing. I'm trying to underdstand and find out the what's causing this issue but I didn't manage to find it out 'till now!
Has anybody had the same problem? I would be really interested in hearing about your experience and opinions!
Has anybody maybe found a way to fix it?
PS. I also noticed this problem using KK Launcher, Epic Launcher, Trebuchet Launcher and every other launcher based on Android 4.4 KitKat. I also found it using previous versions of GNL!
Hello,
I have a HTC One X with android 4.2.2. and my problem is that the emoji that iphone users use are always black. i have been told that android 4.4 kitkat has the colored emoji. so i was wondering how i could get let the emoji appear in color in every app that i use. is there any way to do it without rooting? because i am a little afraid that something would go wrong if i root my phone. and that i cant use my phone anymore. and i like how my phone works now. so i was hoping that there is a other way to get it?
Hello,
Before updating the Z3 to Lollipop, custom themes such as Little Big Planet or others, downloaded from the Play Store, also changed the softkey appearance. This was a really good feature that i though was quite neat. Gave the phone a fresher look.
However now they will remain stock no matter what theme i set. Was this functionality removed in the Lollipop update? Tried to wipe my phone, uninstalled themes and redownloaded them but no success.
Anyone know anything about it?

This is a limitation from Sony now and they might include it in next update. But you can try Xpose Framwork which is beta in Lollipop. You will need root for that.
Quote me in case you expect a reply!
Good Luck
So does anyone know a way to make stock kitkat tablets look like honeycomb tablets? I really liked the honeycomb's systemui with the statusbar and navbar being in one place. I know tabletkat could solve this but thats doesnt work for my tablet. (systemui has stopped working or something).
