[Q] s3 on Pageplus?

I've got the VERIZON GALAXY S3.
Problem is I don't want to pay that high bill with them.
I switched my number to pageplus and I have the MIN to program my phone.
How do I program the s3? Can't get it to connect to cdma ws.
Is it possible now? Thanks.

I was with pp before I switched to tmo for S3. Afaik, 4g phones are not allowed on pageplus. There's no way to activate it on their system.
You could try asking in Kitty forum for answers.

that isn't true, i flashed a droid razr to PP. No problems.

s3 to page plus
if your sim card already has your number you can get to phone programming by dialing
*#22745927 then enable hidden menu.then dial **772

Beigephone.com, the leading flashing company in the US has not yet mastered the GS3. I need to do one but have found zero support for this. If someone with an S3 wants to partner with me to try this, I have CDMA WS and am ready to try. PM me with any info on S3 flashing. And if you HAVE to have a S3 on PagePlus, you should just try a Sprint version for now. This is a simple flash that can be provided by most prepaid stores (that have integrity as a prepaid store.) :cyclops:

(HOW TO) Flash The Verizon Galaxy S3 to Verizon Prepaid

I'll post more info tomorrow when I get off work but here's the video for you to watch for now that has everything you need here. This will guide you on flashing your phone to verizons 50 dollar prepaid plan.
It's really simple
activate the gusto 2
flash the vrlf2 modem on the gs3
dial *#22745927
select hidden menu enabled
then dial *#7284#
qualcomm settings select dm+modem+adb
connect both phones to dfs send the password to both phones
(gusto 2= 2011101116083112 gs3= 01F2030F5F678FF9)
Here's a link to the verizon messages apk
read and write from the donor to the gs3 reboot and enjoy
I suggest you use cleanrom

I'm sure the method is the same you would probably have to activate the gusto on pageplus first. Can't really answer too many questions about pageplus since I don't use it.

Will this method give 3G speed data, regardless of the speed of the "demo" phone used?

The modem is needed for the 16 digit password to work because without it you will play hell trying to get certain things to work.
Yes this method gives true 3g. I can't speak for every donor phone but I know with the Samsung gusto it works.

Does that code work for the Samsung Gusto "One" (for 19.99) or just for the "Samsung Gusto 2" (which I don't see where it is sold as a VZW prepaid phone)?

For the Gusto One I used [1945081520081106] but had zero luck flashing it to prepaid, maybe im a noob.

What drivers did you guys use for the gusto 2? Mine doesn't show up on pc, but charges.
Windows 8 64bit
Windows trouble shooting found nothing.
Device Manager troubleshooting found an update that didn't work.

This is slightly illegal to do, flashing to page plus or straight talk is not. (it's a verizon and fcc thing) however, i will be flashing my gs3 to page plus whenever i get it.... I have my E4GT on page plus now....

I used windows 7 and the drivers installed themselves. One of the costs of being an early adopter of new software is that you get punished in times like this.

I don't think that any place sells the samsung gusto you must not have read the box in it's entirety. Look at the gusto box it has a small 2 next to the words samsung gusto.

[Q] How do I un throttle a straight talk Samsung centura using Msl?

I managed to get the Msl using an esn app but when I try to dial ##data# but it won't let me change setting like other sites suggest. It will just tell me server is busy. Any suggestions? any other way to remove throttle? I tried rooting but there's is no throttle folder on my phone.

Josh I ran into this post and noticed you say you got MSL for this phone from an esn app? Could you share what app you used? I don't think anyone else has been able to get MSL for this phone before so congrats to you sir

hello i just want to start off by saying i have searched everywhere for an answer on this. so i recently got a s4(free upgrade)and i want to let a friend use my s3. they have straight talk so im trying to figure out how to make it work. i tried to call verizon to get an unlock code but they said there was no such code they could give me and referred me to samsung. so all im wondering is how i can get this phone working on straight talks cdma towers. i know the 4g doesnt work but im not worried about it. if i have to root it i also dont mind just please point me in the right direction. i know its possible. it would be cool to be able to put a straight talk rom or something that will make it like the s3 that ST sells. thanks

Unsure about straight talk roms myself but as far as getting the phone to work on straight talk it's not all that complicated. I know you have to go to there website or contact them to get one of there sim cards. I'm looking into moving to straight talk myself soon, I'm tired of the high bills. As far as roms don't quote me on this but I think as long as it's bootloader unlocked you can use almost any rom that's d2lte which is basically a universal rom for all the d2=S3 us versions
And from what I've found on there website they do have 4GLte as they use verizon towers

Well the only sim card i would be able to get would be a $g sim card as CDMA phones don't use reg sim cars and i'm almost positive ST does not offer 4G through their verizon towers. I really just want to find out how to unlock it and activate it. I went on the ST website and they said to enter in the IMEI and then send an activation kit but it says not available in my area code. So im stuck atm.

Interesting because I input my IMEI and my info and it didn't say anything about it being a 3g sim card. Mine came up as compatible

would any friend here tell me my phone can be used with straight talk or I have to go to sprint sign contract with them?

I'm in the same boat. I'm in Texas and bought a SM-G900P from a friend after I ran my iPhone through the washing machine. I'm using straight talk on a cheap LG phone now, but straight talk is telling me the SM-G900P is not compatible with their network. I'm tempted to get a SIM and see if I can make it work anyway. The phone is unlocked.

I assume that in 8 mos you got this resolved. Tell me if ya didn't and I'm sure that a solution can be had. I've GSM unlocked 2 G900Ps and am currently using one on at&t via straight talk

I'm interested also I have straight talk n got a sprint s5 handed down. I'm currently using a grand prime with 8gb internal space n it's driving me crazy on lack of space for apps...

@asadnow2k, do you think you can help?
foundsoul, all you need to do is unlock your phone and change the apn settings. Theres obviously more to it, but not too much. I use MOAR 7.0 and a straight talk sim using at&t service. Its pretty darn good even if its only HSPA+

I got it unlocked and moar 7.0 on it now. Just gotta switch to straight talk verizon to straight talk att. But i hope it works for sure before i do switch

either carrier will work, but its far easier to get it working with good data speeds on AT&T. Thats what i run on my G900P and i get HSPA+ at around 11 MBPS on average. Let me know if you need any help. Here is the apn settings.
