[Q] Filetransfer to my phone w/o usb debugging - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
today I got my OPO and first thing I wanted to do was unlocking, installing recovery and rooting. Unlocking and installing recovery was ok, but afterwards I couldn't boot the phone anymore. Stupidly I forgot to go into the phone before to enable usb debugging and disable cm recovery protection and now I can't set them anymore and I'm not able to transfer files to the phone to install another rom via TWRP to maybe install a new rom to get my phone working.
Has anybody an idea?
It was possible to transfer the files with ADB Sideload. The Problem is solved and the thread can be closed.

Can't you mount usb otg storage from TWRP?

Bootloop using Multi-Tool

Just got my Nexus 5 and I decided to root it. I used the Nexus 5 Multi-Tool to first install the drivers and then continued to unlock the bootloader and root it.
The bootloader unlocked just fine and I got the choice to install CWM or TWRP. I chose CWM first. CWM then gave me a messae that it couldn't mount my sdcard, but it did ask me to fix root permissions. I selected yes and rebooted. My phone then went into bootloop. I tried to restore to avail. Installing TWRP gave me the same message as in CWM (can't flash any ROMs in both recoveries either).
What's weird is, that when I connect my phone to my PC Windows detects it as a MTP USB Device. It isn't supposed to do that if I enabled USB Debugging, right? (I did enable USB Debugging before anything).
How do I proceed? Help is appreciated.

Don`t you guys ever NOT get in trouble when using toolkits. Toolkits are only suitable for users that know what they are doing and can fix the issue they have and not for lesser experienced users that will be stuck when something goes wrong. Learn how to install and use adb and how to flash .img files. Post your question in the toolkit thread bro, maybe someone can help you there. Good luck
Read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2508292 and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2507905 and this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2513701 and you`ll never be in trouble again.
Thanks for your reply.
I have done this many times before on my Galaxy Nexus. That's why I used that tool this time aswell.
However, I got it back to stock with the tool, which reverted to stock android and recovery. I then installed TWRP recovery manually and through there I rooted.
I have no idea what went wrong the first time, but in the future I'll just manually install recovery/root devices since it seems to be much safer.
The same thing happened to me today. I managed to get out of it by flashing TWRP (using the tool) and then in TWRP doing a complete wipe and rebooting. Not sure why the CWM wipe did not do the trick, but that worked for me.

[Q] help with twrp not mounting usb storage

trying to install rom wiped everything including sd card like an idiot so now im stuck with just twrp and no usb access for some reason it wont show up on my computer and adb push isnt working

just tried cwm same problem i dont think i have the correct drivers or something and dont know what to i really need help please anyone ive tried the naked driver and the google usb driver but the google one wont install and naked dosnt work and the lg drivers don work either i dont know what to do
If you have an otg usb cable you can mount it with twrp and install a rom from a usb stick, otherwise install wug's toolkit and go through the driver install process http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2517778

yes give him a toolkit when he has no idea whats going on. perfect solution.
OP,
you will never be able to mount the sdcard as it is a unified storage system. get adb working in your custom recovery and push the file over OR get fastboot working and fastboot flash the stock rom.

LOL ... I meant to FYI ! your post but ended up clicking the "thanks button"
yes the SDCard IS the internal storage ...etc
But..the OP is talking about USB storage access ( yes, you can mount external card/stick with the help of an OTG adapter/cable and flash a rom ) ... I've done it after wiping EVERYTHING on the list ( complete blank except for radio and bootloader.)
I'm also able to do a nandroid to the external card via this method ( after mounting USB-OTG through TWRP...make sure to select which memory...etc )

That toolkit has a very thorough and detailed process of uninstalling/installing usb drivers which is what he seems to need right now, telling him "get abd/fastboot working" doesn't help.
My adb is working I think I entered the command when trying to push. I didn't have the drivers correct for when in recovery. The driver only worked for the fastboot I didn't get a reply quick enough cause I'm impatient ended up finding wugs toolkit and got the correct drivers flashed back to stock now running carbon. thanks for helping though gave you all some thanks. Can anyone reccomend some cool stuff for my phone I'm not exactly new to the scene but I'm also not super experienced. Would really like to get wireless display working it just reboots my phone on carbon. Would like something like dirty unicorn or something with crazy unnecessary features but didn't see anything like that.

[Q] [Falcon] AOKP Wiped And I Can't Find A Way To Install A New ROM

Hey guys! I'd really love a quick response, as I take my classes over the phone.
Basically, a couple weeks ago I flashed AOKP onto my phone. Of course, I made the rookie mistake of feeling safe and deleted my backup of the Stock ROM.
Now, I wiped my whole system thinking that I'd be able to sideload a ROM over ADB with PhilZ Touch 6, yet ADB can't find my device (even with all the current drivers). Strangely enough, my computer is able to recognize my phone with the ADB driver, and I can still use fastboot commands in the bootloader.
But I have no way of installing another ROM! Doesn't PhilZ Touch include a method of mounting my phone as a USB Storage Device?!
Please, anyone, help! You're my only hope!
TWRP Recovery supports USB storage . Flash it via fastboot

[Q] Need help Bootloop on latest CM12s

hey guys, I'm trying to fix my friend's oneplus. It is locked, with CM recovery. I don't wanna wipe it, and I know why it bootloops, he applied a theme and that is the reason it bootloops. I can only get it to recognize via adb in sideload. He didn't enable USB debugging in the developer settings. Is there any way to fix this or enable ADB (I can fix it if I get non sideload adb) without wiping?
--thanks!

Nexus 5 Brick

Hi, I really need your help.
I tried to install the latest miui rom for nexus 5, but it doesn't boot (I waited over 40 minutes and I tried more times....). I tried to flash again the rom but it didn't work.
If I enter recovery (TWRP 3.0.2.), file manager works, but there is no way to use Adb sideload or to mount usb - otg or to connect device to pc (my pc sees it as unknown device, but yesterday it worked). If I enter bootloader, my pc doesn't see it.
Do you have any solution for at least recovering the data on sdcard? I don't have any backup on sdcard....
