As I'm not allowed to post in the specific thread, I'm asking for help here. I bricked the HTC Desire phone by using
RUU_Bravo_HTC_Europe_1.15.405.3_Radio_32.30.00.28U _4.05.00.11_release_121865.exe
that I got from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=695667. The phone just boots indefinitely. I can still get into the official bootloader with power+back_button combination. So is it bricked or I can still recover the phone?
I was trying to flash the phone with the instructions found on the http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=696189
How to flash ROM
Download this
Turn off Desire and then turn it on while holding back button to enter bootloader(white screen)
Once in "white screen" press power button again to enter bootloader
Connect Desire with PC
Press Volume Down and than Power to enter Recovery
Now the red triangle should show up, go to folder you downloaded file and press recovery-windows.bat, recovery-mac.sh or recovery-linux.sh depending on which OS you have
Now you are in recovery mode (green screen), press Wipe and than Wipe data/clear storage, than press optical tracker to confirm it
After that press Volume Down to go back to main menu in recovery
Navigate to Flash zip from sdcard using optical tracker, select .zip confirm it and wait until process finish, after that press Reboot system and unplug you Desire
Enjoy your new ROM

Rooted inspire last nite.Tried getting into recovery mode to put theme on but cant move down on volume key. it automatically goes to h boot and asks me for an update .i press down volume key for no and phone reboots . how do i get into recovery mode. Thanx
Wrong way to ask questions.
Boot the phone up and delete the zip from your SD card that the hack process left behind. If your phone doesn't see it, it will let you select recovery.

Future reference - Posts questions in General sub forum.
To answer - you still have a PD98IMG.zip file on your SD card. As long as this is there, bootloader will always try to automatically update with this file through HBoot. You need to remove this file from the SD card and you'll be able to boot to recovery
thanx. Now i have more problems and thesae are major. i have posted in general section., thanx for all the help thus far))

hello all,
I'm trying to root my htc desire by using unrevoked. The first step is to restart phone in recovery mood. When i select recovery mood by pressing the power button, phone restarts but then a black screen with a red triangle and exclamation mark appears.
Help me guys, don't know what to do now.
HTC desire,
android version 2.2.2
hboot -0.93.0001
Pvt3 s-on.
same
I had the same problem still no fix
I think you're doing it wrong. To enter Recovery Mode (it's mode not mood ) turn off your device and then press AND HOLD the volume down button and power button.
After that you navigate using the volume buttons and select using the trackpad button.
Search in YouTube: "HTC Desire Bootloader and Recovery" and you'll see how it's done.
You are doing it wrong
your problem is that you haven't put a recovery on it yet here is a program to help you
search google for: hasoon2000 toolkit and press on the third link from the superuser guide
download the program from the link, it says HTC one x but will fit for you too
open the program and then look at the top right corner press 4EXT and then press flash recovery
DO THIS ONLY IF YOU HAVE ALREADY UNLOCKED THE BOOTLOADER
if you haven't go to htc.dev site register and follow their steps through and then try
the instructions above
If I helped PLZ press the tanks button I need to build up my reputation here :good:

If i use "volume up" nothing happens
but if i use "volume down" an exlamation mark" ! " appears within a triangle
Other info: This device is rooted and i had also deleted a file required for booting, dalvik cahe accidently
coz i thought they were responsibele For "random boot loop" (which was of course my irresponsibility and lack of knowledge"
now leaving that aside pls suggest whether there are any ways.

What happens if you hold the Vol+ and THEN plug in the USB? (Hold the Vol button while you are plugging it in)
Does your PC detect the phone?
If that doesn't work try the Vol- and THEN plug in the USB.
That should put your device in fastboot mode. You can then proceed on installing a recovery and hopefully being able to flash a ROM.
I followed the link and it directed me to a file"Celkon a9+ stock firmware.rar"
Is it the file i am supposed to download?
Thnx

Hi, I have a S7562L and tried flashing cm-11-20150323-UNOFFICIAL-kylessopen-RC3.zip from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/s7562/development/cm11-samsung-galaxy-s-duos-kitkat-4-4-4-t3024762
I have successfully booted up in download and recovery modes, and have also flashed TWRP recovery. Due to bluethooth not operating correctly I deceided to flash back to a stock ROM using ODIN. But now it stays in a bootloop with the glowing "SAMSUNG". I have tried several stock firmwares but same result. I want to try to erase the cache but I can no loger boot into recovery.
Any suggestions on what to try next?
Z
First you should not post this in Android Development forum, Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum is there for this query
Go to downloading mode, then flash stock rom
When whole process is completed and samsung logo is displayed on the screen, take out the battery and place it in again
go to recovery by pressing volume up, down, home and power button and leave it after phone vibrates and shows device model name
factory reset the device from there
This may work for you

Sorry about that I didn't know. (Moderator edit... moved to Q&A)
Anyway I found a way to get in. Instead of pressing the recovery keys from power off, this time when it was in the boot loop I pressed and held the power button and just as it was powering down when the screen went blank, I quickly pressed and held (all four) recovery keys, and that got me in. From there I could the factory reset and wipe the data and caches and all is back to normal now.

I had been looking for this in order to fix an irulu expro x1 tablet with much difficulty
after weeks of searching and trial and error i figured it out with some help from the net piecing info together
so now with my success i share with you:
1. shutdown tablet
2. power + vol ^ (hold till green android man)
3. power + vol ^ (might need to tap both multiple times, but be patient) enter recovery mode
4. scroll thru recovery menu, factory rest, clear cache, restart
5. now on pc extract zip file open sp flash tools folder, run application as administrator
6. load scatter file of X1048 x1049 xxxxx...
7. select all including preloader, instead of download only choose format all and download
8. hit download, make sure you power off tablet, then connect usb to pc
should show the red progress line, and after a few seconds begin flashing the tablet, allow it to do its thing till
green ok dialog button appears, power on and voila!!!
mod edit: pay per click link removed.
Is that file you posted a newer updated rom?(4.4.2 or better ?) And what exactly does this flash "fix" ?

sorry for the late responce, but the fix was for a virus, a very toublesome one by-the-way, that seemed to stay on the device even from a system reset, or from the recovery even after a wipe of cache/data/dalvic and what not... had been looking for the rom and couldnt find anywhere, had contacted the irulu site and we had multiple back and forth thru email... it was only however thru trial and error i found the correct rom which i posted for benefit of anyone who needs it.
also the fix was for an in-law but i believe it it was 4.4.2...
expro x1

My Irulu tablet does not have volume buttons.
Only power & esc buttons.
How do I get it into recovery mode then?
Hi all, I downloaded the firmware from Irulu for the 8-inch Expand x1s version, but I can not install it in Sideload ADB mode can you help me?
***fixed for irulu Inc through Android reset method
While it is on hold the power button and hit power off and when prompted to have it boot in quick mode hit yes. Turn on and it power button. And when asked to power off or reboot hold the power off link and agree to have safe mode activated. (Even if it was already activated the process of the irulu is quite similar to down syndrome so must repeat for the second time). Once off hold power and volume up till it brings recovery mode into display.
