My Nexus 5 was turning off randomly, and today it turned off completely (80% battery). I couldn't turn on, it didn't respond. I connected it to the cable and it began a Google bootlop, showing it for about 1 second and then showing it again. I'm not pressing any button and the bootlop persists. I cannot enter the recovery mode, it resets with 2 seconds or less. What do I do?
Thanks,
Eduardo
Sounds like you might have a stuck power button. Try mashing it a number of times. If that doesn't work rma the device or get the power button replaced.

Noticed very erratic behavior on the Nexus 5 :
The phone automatically shuts down.. tries to restart and reboots once it reaches the Google logo. It then continues in a reboot loop.
It got out of the reboot loop, but now it's completely dead. No charge indicator. Won't start at all. Cannot even get into the recovery.
Happened once before. Same issue: reboot loop + dead phone but it started working after a while.
What should I do? The battery was charged when it died.
Also, before it died, whenever I pressed the power button to turn off the screen, the screen went off, but then came on automatically again.

I'm currently experiencing the same problem, my Nexus 5 is apparently has a stuck power button, it'll power up and off again constantly and attempting to go into the bootloadeer wont help as the power button being stuck it starts up immediatly i cannot change the option quick enough to go into recovery mode.
I'm thinking the only option here is to send it back to Google and have it swapped or repaired.
Hi guys,
I have a huge problem with my Nexus 5. At first, he restart 3 times in a row, then I could use him for 30-40 minutes normally, but suddenly he shut down.I tried turn him on a few times, but it didn't work. I connected him to the charge - the same with a small change - he restarts all the time without anyone help, check this out:

Any idea what's wrong with him and how can I repair my N5? Sorry for my english, but I didn't use this language for a couple years.

You need to be more specific about your problem. Is this happening since you're using a custom rom, custom kernel or whatsoever?
If not, then you can factory reset your Nexus 5 from stock recovery by pressing vol up+vol down+power button, hold them for about 20-30 seconds to enter the bootloader. Then get into recovery.
You might want to see this to factory reset your device from stock recovery https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/4596836?hl=en
If it's still the same, then RMA is the last solution.
Good luck!
Sounds to me like you have a stuck power button. Have it replaced.

My nexus 5 is currently switched off. Using power button it does not start. When connected with USB, it shows Google logo and continues to reboot at that page only. I tried with volume button keys to start with recovery mode but it reboots immediately in 2 secs and can't even start in recovery mode. What can be done?
Got a repair shop nearby?

Is it possible to repair it at home if I get a toolbox? Any guess, what could be the issue? Do I have to replace power button or is just stuck or something like that?
My opo device is not responding at all. I was using the device normally and suddenly the screen turned black and since than its not responding at all. My device was not rooted and i was using the CM 13.1 stock. The device had around 50% battery when it turned off. I have tried power cycling it and pressing the power and volume down button but still nothing. It won't even turn on and there is no vibration or anything when i am holding the power button. hey guys,
My nexus 5 fell from table height now the display seem fine.. But the phone doesn't turn on... And when I plug the USB cable, it shows the google logo and shuts down. It repeats again and again.
Did anyone face this problem?
If yes please help me.
Thank you.:crying:
Sounds like a power button issue and it needs to be replaced. Repeatedly press the power button on and off. This may temporarily fix the problem. The N5 has had power button issues.
