Has anyone tried this Rom yet? I would like to know if there are any problems with it.
yeah i tried installing it but only gave me installation problems (after the rom was repartitioning) and soft-bricks. I download it again and it was the same. Anyways I really appreciate your work

New build uploading, anyone care to test it out for me?
A little update, I'm giving up on this. Way too many bugs and I can't keep up with them due to me not knowing how to fix and me being too busy with school and work. If anyone wants to port roms to this device i can pm you the guide i used. For now, I think I'll just delete the thread

Could be, this phone had to have had one of the longest runs as far as developing is concerned. Now with Sprint on the verge of doing away with WiMaX, I think it's a safe best that this phone will finally be laid to rest lol
If only they would build another bad arse device with a awesome keyboard. Of all the phones I ever owned this was by far my fav. Which is why I just bought a newish one. hopefully I can find valid links to make it the beast its was ment to be.!
I finally got my Epic out of retirement and flash with 4.4.4 and gapps 4.4.2. this combo has the best stab;e and speed, i tried the open-gapps 4.4.4 but i bogged the phone down alot.
btw anyone have a working link to SlimKAT 4.4.4 only one i have used thus far is CM 4.4.4 unofficial

BUGS
--Camera is still not working.
--HDMI isn't working like usual
--Wireless tethering isn't an option
--I'm sure you guys will find the rest.
Screenies
Build 39
AOKP Changes
added ability to change host name (settings > dev > device hostname)
added ad-hoc network support
added adb over network
added AOKP stats (you can opt out, Settings > About > AOKP Statistics) www.stats.aokp.co
added bluewall firewall - RC > General UI > Less Notification Sounds
limits the number of notification sounds an app can play per X seconds
so like 1 GTalk ping/30s, but notifications will still be coming in
added "Device options" link in Settings for devices that have an app to tweak device-specific settings
right now I believe only tuna/aries/p1c have these, all credit goes to CM trees where these apps came from
improved weather code, shouldn't bother you everytime it updates weather now
added "copy to clipboard" option in "Share" dialogs throughout ANdroid
added ability to toggle to "new" and "original" music controls on the lockscreen
as always, tons of other device-specific and internal changes, find them all at http://gerrit.sudose...atus:merged,n,z
devices changes
p5: removed OTA assert, shouldn't be any more problems flashing
tuna: fixed vold.fstab file not being added properly, which led to MTP issues, core FCs
tuna: looks like the CM9 kernel was included with this build by mistake (due to the buildbot using inline kernels and some misc testing). It doesn't affect anything, just letting you guys know we know! Enjoy their code
added showcasemtd & mesmerizemtd
ville: YOU MUST WIPE!
misc other device changes -- ask your device maintainer
credit note: we try and preserve all proper authorship on git commits and the like, if you want to know who wrote a feature or where we got it from, check out git or gerrit and just browse through the commits!
Personal Changes

Sorry, haven't read that thread yet. But awesome, this is my favorite ROM currently. ^_^
I can't wait till you guys get Camera working, then I'm gonna use this on my friend's Triumph as his DD (currently using Cm7 G60 style final ). I use AOKP on my GNex and it's the greatest ROM evar IMHO. A lot of those AOKP guys were from the Fascinate kangbang and pool party roms and they were my favorite prior's
Awesome, glad to see this being continued, really like this rom can't wait till I can use it as a daily rom, running cm7 g60 final.mobster tweaked, also a [email protected] rom thanks for the work y'all do

Maybe its just me but do anybody else have to activate their phone after flashing AOKP Bulid 39? I flashed back to CM9 and I'm no need to I just though I'll point it out.

Personally haven't flashed it yet. I'll try reproducing it right now.
I've been messing with the nightlies a lot lately. So a few of them are bad (not everything working). Working on a stable build

BOOM! I was hoping for a pure AOSP and/or Gummy.
I've heard some good things about Gummy. Can't wait to try it out. But before I go through the trouble of flashing and such, is there circle battery w/ percentage on this? That's ultimately the deal breaker for me so far on KitKat

Have you tested any of the custom kernels? I assume BMS and KT work, as they work with all the CM11 builds out there, but I thought I'd ask.
My deal breaker would be with Tap-to-Pay. Will this work with Google Wallet's TTP?

No Verizon phone will, due to the ongoing disagreement VZ has with the Google payment method. Don't expect ANY rom to come out with functioning tap-to-pay until Verizon works out their beef with Google. You can try some of the hacks people have posted for 4.3 roms, but I haven't seen anyone report that it worked on a 4.4 rom; make sure you use one of the older Wallet versions, because all newer versions for VZ devices have that functionality broken.

Yes, other 4.3 roms got it to work, through using the hack and an older version of Wallet.... which I already said was the case. No one has successfully had T2P work with Wallet on a 4.4 rom on a VZ Samsung device yet... at least not that's being reported on xda. You will not find T2P working on a flashable rom until Verizon and Google settle their dispute; devs are not going to incorporate the hack because it works for some and not for others.
If you need T2P, try the 4.3 hack and report back to us if it worked... otherwise, stick with a hacked 4.3 rom if you need the functionality.

Ahh good call. I believe my IMEI was there (I glanced really fast), but it might not have been. Does a firmware flash remedy that? I've never had that issue before.
No a firmware flash won't do it. Best to flash to a backup where it was there. Then make backup of the IMEI. There is a script I think on xda that will do it. I keep a copy of the back on my PC too just in case.

Hi there, sorry I didn't respond to you in so long but I couldn't help on these projects at the time. Your issue with the camera is something I can solve and intend to re-port and upload it today since others have issues with it as well. I will update this post with the link when it's uploaded, but just to let you and others know that I may not be able to solve all the issues that exist since porting doesn't cure rom-related bugs.
I'll do what I can at least , since this rom is no longer supported in the source device forum so please understand and thank you for your patience.
Edit: Ok, it's finally done and here's the link to it separately from the OP: Re-ported HyperDroid AOXP Nonkexec. If any issue persists or develops, then let me know but keep in mind what I said earlier, thank you and enjoy!

Is it a change in camera apk and stuff or anything else? Will I be able to fix the issue by just extracting usefu from the re-port to my existing installation?
Thank in advance! :good:

No trouble really and I just addressed the camera recording issue the most. I think simply wiping cache/dalvik and flashing the fixed rom zip should be enough to get things straitened out. If you still experience your aforementioned bugs or worse, then a clean installation will be needed.

Feature list:
Paranoid Android 4.4.4 for our beloved :silly: phone.
-First of all, thanks for Bagyusz, Keeperv85, BENETNATH and DeviousFusion for their contribution, without them it would have been impossible to make this ROM.
pa_cocktail-444-20141002:
- Updated PA sources to 4.6 beta 3
- The performance menu option is now removed from the settings app (not by me, by cm team), you'll have to use an app for changing governors and frequencies.
- please make sure you use the right recovery version for this release.
- fixed the move to sd error again
- fixed GB bootloader problems
- dynamic status bar coloring and the new recents are not open source yet, but until then feedback and support is welcome.
Version history:
pa_cocktail-444-20141001:
- this was a mistake, let's forget about it.
pa_cocktail-444-20140709:
- Updated Paranoid Android sources (V4.42 Android 4.4.4)
- Paranoid OTA removed.
- Move to sd card fix.
- Updated Kernel with Kernel Mode Neon, hopefully some more smoothness & some other fixes.
pa_cocktail-444-20140626:
- Android 4.4.4
- Updated Paranoid Android sources (4.4 Final)
- Updated kernel with zsmalloc and lz4 in zram, and many other changes.
- Hover : works
- Pie : works
- Peek : partially works
-Theme Engine, now it supports cm11 themes.
- You can now install apk files from the documents app.
- many more.
pa_cocktail-4.2-BETA4-20140412:
- first release.
-Known bugs:
- The built in browser/webview apps sometimes have some trouble with images.
It is highly recommended to use Chrome since it does not have any bug with images or scroll at all.
AOSPA4+ download:
1. Download link.
2. Gapps
3. Recovery
How to install:
-same as cm11.
-Sources:
Kernel
AOSPA-legacy

CyanogenMod

Thanks, I'll give it a try. If it's as good as the ones Ben released in the past I'm sure it'll kick.

It's the same as Bagyusz's.
@HoScHaKaL : MIUI is not planned right now. I'll try to keep the Paranoid releases up to date, don't really have the capacity for another fork of android. Maybe later in the future.
All feedbacks are welcome.
Constant restarts. I'll wait to see what others say. I used backed up data, so it very well could be me.
i'ved installed it and everything seems to be working.
however there are somethings that i cannot find.
dont know how to change tiles, cant find how to change themes and also de PA settings menu!

I would say it's because of the backup, a full wipe is recommended before the install as well.
@Sergytto please follow this thread/post to understand how to use PA features.
@BENETNATH thanks again for your help. I might continue to disturb you with some questions in the near future, lol.
Downloaded it. Flashed it. Setting up it. Enjoying with it.
Great job on building. All are functioning on my end. Performance's great.
I was searching for the theme chooser but I forgot this is an AOSPA build.
Thought it was just PA build. Silly me. Haha.
Xposed Framework will be truly usable in this ROM.
no trouble ^^

Nope. Nothing.
This is because the ROM is based on AOSP. Which is the stock Android.
And PA features were added and is configurable within a specific setting/app.

Acutally it's because the Paranoid Android team is rewriting all of their code for the kitkat base.
It means we will have most of the old PA settings/features back with time, you just have to stay tuned and look forward for the new releases.

These builds of cm12 are done by various Team Bliss members and other contributors for the m8 and unified into a single thread.
99% of this code is directly from cm12 repos, with some additions and random stuff from us.
This is in its EXTREMELY early stages.
You know the usual warnings and whatever, so let's get to the fun stuff.
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Install instructions:
Be on the latest firmware for your carrier
Factory reset in TWRP
Flash rom
Flash gapps
Flash SuperSU (not needed for BlissPop)
Enjoy
I HIGHLY recommend using the latest TWRP by @Captain_Throwback for installation: Download
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
What works:
Most everything that matters.
What doesnt:
NuPlayer seems to cause issues with streaming music, disable it in developer options (@dshoe)
Do not disturb mode kills sound, reboot to fix @pimpmaneaton)
Stock camera (Connects but does not take pictures) Use Google Camera, it works fine
Probably more, report in thread please.

As per usual I take no responsibility if any of my suggestions cause your device to brick, explode, melt, raise your house payments, shave your dog or pack up and move to the Bahamas.
Placeholder for building instructions, this is where I will post all the changes made to get this working on the m8 so far.
* Sync source from CM github for cm-12.0 repositories (https://github.com/cyanogenmod)
* Add the muppets vendor for HTC to your roomservice.xml (https://github.com/TheMuppets/proprietary_vendor_htc)
* Add this change to your device tree: https://github.com/TeamBliss-LP/and...mmit/fe2b5b357cbe64d0991d778bc94b7dd0c7c0b4f5
* You should now be able to build successfully.

Forgive me, but what's the point? If everyone that could compile cm from code posted a build, this forum would be filled with threads posting an identical ROM. I don't get it.

Agreed. I'd like to start testing and give feedback with bugs but I'm not sure where. Can we arm wrestle for who's thread becomes official so we can start working together?
Unable to install, or if it does it won't boot....
Says can't mount system during install
When try to boot it just goes to a black screen
Let's let someone else handle it then, I'm tired and don't really care. I just posted this for those unable/unwilling to compile.

Can verify GPS is working as well.

I'm on my way to work so i just give it a quick try to set this build up working. ...perhaps the main reason of failing is the fact, i tried it on multirom secondary slot.
installed newest bliss stalk build as aosp base, booted it one time and did a factory reset afterwards in twrp. ..tried to flash the cm12 right over and got this right away:
(as i said, i m hurring up on my way to work, probably just miss that this version is only for verizon phones? )
Woops my mistake.
I'm about to try and flash now, will report back. Others above that commented, everyone is posting to try and share without hijacking others threads. It is great to see more devs trying to put their spin on the cm12 builds because not all build the same way, thats why some have issues that others may/may not have. Remicks "THANKS" sir.

I say you should keep posting builds and then once everything works you can add your own cherry picks from CM and other ROMs. This way we as end users get options and you as a developer get to learn. The ultimate decision though would be yours.

same here. ...i tried with installing latest cm11 build and doing factory reset before flashing the cm12 build even as i tried clean install only the cm12 build ...everytime i got this error:
would be anyone who can boot this build without issues just nice and give a short instruction what flash-steps he/she has done?

So here we go again folks, another cm12 post. If it gets buried oh well, if not kudos.

Be on an aosp/cm based rom
Factory reset in TWRP (DO NOT WIPE SYSTEM)
Flash rom
Flash gapps
Enjoy
What works:
Wifi
LTE
Camera
Haven't tested much more
What doesnt:
Probably a ton, report in thread please

I was able to get this running. I can confirm that GPS works as well. Have not found any major bugs yet. Flashed on top of latest CM11 nightly. Best working CM 12 I have used thus far.
Show of hands please:
Do you want me to continue posting my builds along with whoever else is doing cm12 or would you rather I just forget it and let someone else handle it?
Thanks.
