8. Run tablet into recovery mode- sometimes tablet isn't running at first time- try, try and try

wipe data/cache
install a1-stock-recovery
reboot into stock recovery-installation update.zip it`s started
after installation reboot into recovery (it`s CWM ), wipe data and install SlimDroid
reboot

Follow all instructions, but I only make a total of 390 MB, which can be wrong?

Ideatab a1 bricked permanently
I tried to repartition under CWM and my ideapad is bricked now.
When I try to turn on nothing happens.
I tried to push power button for 45 sec and even unplug battery from mainboard. Still nothing. My ideatab won`t turn on.
If I plug charger to tablet, tablet doesn`t charge (led is off).
I can`t see lenovo screen and vibrations. BLACKOUT.
Any suggestions ?

Repartition just via stock recovery !!!

You will need the bootable sdcard to fix it now.

I can't seem to find instructions on how to make a bootable sd for the lenovo ideapad a1 07. My screen is completely black and won't load at all. I've held the powers button for at least 2 minutes and nothing. PLEASE HELP!

Where is the *.tar file? I can't find

i could not install it. error (Zip file can not open)

is not total touch screen ... button Next not working
Tested on my tablet A2107A-H :
- only from buttons i make all commands, Next button not working touch screen
+ create backup ok ( nvram.md5,nvram.tar )
+ restore without any problem
- - - If I reset the tablet imei is deleted ( NO PERMANENT IMEI )

nice tool concept. is this only saving files to /sdcard/? because on newer devices with emulated storage, sdcard or microsd is mounted as sdcard1, so when doing backup on my phone it goes back instantly on backup/restore/exit menu

nah, its fine now. turns out to be that my /data partition is encrypted, thats why custom recovery is not mounting it. also just need some work on recovery to mount sdcard on /sdcard

where does the backup files goes to and what file extension is that

Doesn't install on my Lenovo S6000-H (MediaTek-based), gets an unknown Error.

[Updated] Increase app storage, Swap memory on magnus A117.

Just after installing FEW HEAVY apps in my magnus and later when they developed cache, my device started showing low on space type notification .​When i saw in settings/apps then only 64 mb space was remaining.​Its not any type of issue like m using more or less apps thats why m getting this.​This is a general issue as with time increases apps develop their cache and they become bigger and bigger hence occupy space.
We have got only 800MB or something as internal storage so sooner or later we are supposed to have memory issue.​​
Using the guide below, I have made my internal space 1.9 GB or, i have completly swapped phone memory to apps only.
I have made these files for me keeping in mind that everyone have a good capacity memory card and hence no need to use internal space.​

Download The files below in attachment linked and flash them with SP tools.
Select scatter loading, select the files and click on DONWLOAD

Well, if you are worried about Warranty it's coz you are very new to xda. soon you will find how to flash stock rom and get warranty back.
Perhaps, This process is done using sp tools so no need to have root.
And no one in service center ever gonna find what you done to your phone.

In EBR2 the file is a0 so reducing it by 1 will be what exactly?

Here are EBR Files flash them using SP Flash Tool .
Yes I successfully increased my data partition of Micromax Magnus A117 from 1 GB to 2 GB
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2596030
You will have 2gb storage for apps and 600 mb for internal storage after flashing modified EBR files.

I have a BLOM and I used this process. I never got the green circle when it was done, but it worked. I would like to adjust it, but it doesn't work. When I choose a different EBR file and run it again, nothing changes. Is this a one time deal that can't be changed? Any help would be appreciated.

Will it work on a custom ROM ? I have installed Nexus 5 ROM on my A117 .

I used these files to swap the media storage to app storage...but it left no space to store my media:crying: am i needed to edit the ebr files??

Nexus ROM is stable and simple. I have installed and tested many roms including lollipop but reinstalled this Rom. It is recommended :good:

i will support u hope u can make the rom stable
i would like to tell u that but somehow ur this method is useful because other apps that were not present in ur rom can be installed directly i tried installing tge apps present in xperia z 2 rom of canvas 2 plus and they get installed
only the camera app remains and wifi problem

load the two files ebr and mbr file and flash it
its safe but take a backup of internal sdcard and rom backup
after flashing go to recovery format internal sdcard , data and system
now flash any rom n report

boot in recovery choose to modify (no read only) reboot in recovery from within TWRP with reboot button

If you have HT7 PRO than my answer is I have not seen that.
But you can restore recovery image to 1.08 make OTA update and root it again

I've recently received my phone and updated at once to 1.1.4, but i have problems with my carrier and get this message "com.android.phone". I thought there was problem with update, so i flashed both official and custom rom 1.1.4, but problem still remains.
I tried to go back to 1.0.8 with spflash using the files above , but couldn't make it with the same scatter file. I didn't find the official rom either.
Do you may have any suggestion for me?

Thank you for your answer. The first one is 1.1.4 that causes my problem.
Unfortunately i didn't manage to flash the second one ( that only have the system image) with scatter file for homtom ht7 pro

Any help, even with pm would be appreciated. I get an error from spflash when i'm trying to flash system.img of 1.0.8, but i have no problem to flash 1.1.4 official or custom.
I need to go back to any other rom. Thank you in advance.

1.08? is it HT7 PRO? have not seen such. Just flash 1.1.3 I have seen that here

Yes HT7 PRO. This is the rom that the phone had before fota update. Do you may know how to flash any previous rom? I tried the second link that you mentioned before without luck.

When i flash 1.1.4 stock or custom, then it's working fine. Which scatter file are you using with spflash?

You are right again. I get "BROM ERROR S_DL_GET_DRAM_SETTINGS_FAIL (5054) – BROM Error 5054", which means that the file i'm trying to flash is incompatible.
But i'm trying to flash "system_ht7_pro_kingroot" or "HT7_Pro_boot_recovery" and have the same error with Homtom_HT7_Pro_Scatter.txt. The first one is the image of system and the other one is image of boot and recovery.
If I use the scatter file of 1.1.4 (MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt of stock or custom rom), then I have no problem to make it work with them but not with previous roms.

I have 1.08 used scatter that you have , to install TWRP . no problem. did not update to 1.1.4
You have not backup 1.08?

Unfortunately i didn't backup..my bad.
I saw that it was fine for everybody, so I didn't think there would be problem with my carrier.
