Just after installing FEW HEAVY apps in my magnus and later when they developed cache, my device started showing low on space type notification .When i saw in settings/apps then only 64 mb space was remaining.Its not any type of issue like m using more or less apps thats why m getting this.This is a general issue as with time increases apps develop their cache and they become bigger and bigger hence occupy space.
We have got only 800MB or something as internal storage so sooner or later we are supposed to have memory issue.
Using the guide below, I have made my internal space 1.9 GB or, i have completly swapped phone memory to apps only.
I have made these files for me keeping in mind that everyone have a good capacity memory card and hence no need to use internal space.

Select scatter loading, select the files and click on DONWLOAD

Well, if you are worried about Warranty it's coz you are very new to xda. soon you will find how to flash stock rom and get warranty back.
Perhaps, This process is done using sp tools so no need to have root.
And no one in service center ever gonna find what you done to your phone.
In EBR2 the file is a0 so reducing it by 1 will be what exactly?

Here are EBR Files flash them using SP Flash Tool .
Yes I successfully increased my data partition of Micromax Magnus A117 from 1 GB to 2 GB
I followed this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2596030
You will have 2gb storage for apps and 600 mb for internal storage after flashing modified EBR files.

I have a BLOM and I used this process. I never got the green circle when it was done, but it worked. I would like to adjust it, but it doesn't work. When I choose a different EBR file and run it again, nothing changes. Is this a one time deal that can't be changed? Any help would be appreciated.

I used these files to swap the media storage to app storage...but it left no space to store my media:crying: am i needed to edit the ebr files??

Nexus ROM is stable and simple. I have installed and tested many roms including lollipop but reinstalled this Rom. It is recommended :good:

I transferrred the script file in my external sd card.. followed ur instructions exaclty but still the memory is 1.83 gb.. i have a 8 gb card installed.
Another problem is that i cannot access my fb through usb now.. the option "turn on usb" does not pop up when i connect the usb..
Please help.. have i done something wrong?

I am using Kangbook for my FB and it is working awesome but the only problem i have got at the moment is my internal SD card is not getting detected, although its showing the capacity and free space, neither i am able to download any file from the internet nor i am getting an option for the FB to get detected for the USB Storage mode when i connect it to the PC on Windows or on Linux.

thank's working fine on my tab. i just copy the vold.fstab on my etc folder then restart and its working. no problem at all.

I'm a bit concerned about size of data.img partition, It's only 1 GB and BMM didn't allow me a greater size.
Is there any way to resize Data.img partition, to make it capable for more apps to be installed? 1 GB sooner or later will be an insufficient space.

There is a 2000 mb option when u enter BMM click on it make sure u don't have too many systems coz there won't be enough space in the ROM...

Same exact problem. Something I found at least helps conserve space is I moved all the apps that I could to my SD card. This saved me about 500 mb of space, so like half.

I think that there must be a solution for our problem,
Maybe we need install an earlier version of BMM,
or install those Roms on System 1 (I tried this but didn't work)

@CrazyTechie you need to flash recovery via command prompt and this is can be done via fastboot only..
Go in bootloader mode..
Connect your phone via cable to PC you should see fastboot USB in red..
Then open cmd with admin rights..
Put the recovery in the folder where you have fastboot and adb drivers installed..
In cmd type :
" fastboot flash recovery recovery.IMG"
It should show writing recovery.
There you go aw3som3 recovery installed..

There is no need to flash int2ext as script is already included..
After flashing rom in app drawer you will see device settings.. enable int2ext from there.. ext4 will be used.. in W6..

I have made ext4 partition of 2000MB.I had enabled int2ext in device settings but the internal storage does not increase. It remains unchanged as 25 MB only. While in weekly 5 after enabling int2ext in device settings the internal storage changed to about 1.92 GB.
The developer kirmaniarslan in a post told that weekly 6 rom will boot without sd-ext. What does it mean? Do I have to do something else to use my ext4 partition as internal storage?

I highly doubt it that the script is not working cz I m using weekly 6 and I am successfully able to increase my memory..
Create partition again.. Clean flash the rom again then enable it from device settings..

I have tried both provided with weekly 5 and weekly 6.
Charging Problem
Guys i have a peculiar problem...even if i charge my phone all night,in the morning it will only show 20%...sometimes this even decreases...
The solution i found for this problem is to do a reboot...after reboot only the phone shows the charged battery...
What might be the problem??? Any solutions??? This is really pissing me

your battery might not be calibrated properly.. cz m not facing this peculiar issue..
Before charging completely drain your battery till its off.. Give it for the charge..
Download batterycalibrate from store.. open it calibrate it.. then unplug the charger.. See if you find the solution..

16gb class 10 sdcard with 14 gb allocated for fat32, <2gb for ext4. used superwipe before flashing rom etc.
rom is super smooth, tx. int2ext is fine. battery good too.
wifi worked after reboots for first few days, now off permanently, no matter what.
force high-end graphics doesnt work. as well as sd swap.
solutions to the above? should have i partitioned differently?

Wifi stuck after deepsleep but after reboot it works fine and for sd-swap u need to make a third sd-ext
partitioning?
so is it ok to make partitions in linux gparted or they have to made through recovery only?
wifi not working after several reboots. going to try repartitioning now..
while importing contacts from sim the progress becomes 100% but does not stop itself. I closed it forcefully. opened contact ( people) again but not all the contacts were imported. closed and opened contacts again and saw an increase in total number of contacts. the contacts kept on increasing every time I opened contacts. what's this phenomenon?

Last night I turned on wifi but it didn't worked.. before going to bed the battery was at 4%, so I set the clock for 9:30 am, I put my phone to airplane mode and I put it on charge.. this morning I woke up at 12 o'clock and the phone was dead ._. 20 minutes ago I put it on charge and it seems to work normally.. what happened??

i would like to tell u that but somehow ur this method is useful because other apps that were not present in ur rom can be installed directly i tried installing tge apps present in xperia z 2 rom of canvas 2 plus and they get installed

i would like to tell u that but somehow ur this method is useful because other apps that were not present in ur rom can be installed directly i tried installing tge apps present in xperia z 2 rom of canvas 2 plus and they get installed
only the camera app remains and wifi problem

bro it is like flashing stock firmware
open sptools load a scatter loading file
load the two files ebr and mbr file and flash it
its safe but take a backup of internal sdcard and rom backup
after flashing go to recovery format internal sdcard , data and system
now flash any rom n report

Why share it :
I wrote this for my own MediaTek device because there were no EBR with 32GB internal storage nor there is any tool to achieve the goal.
How it works :
The program is simple as entering how much of space you need in your internal storage. The tool also let you know current size of your EBR partition size.
Why no full tutorial :
If you didn't know, there is also some tutorial on this forum to replace your EBR files. That's why I'm not discussing more off-topic.
Ok, I'm willing to use this tool :
Download and unzip the attachment and COPY your original EBR1/EBR2 files inside program folder and then start it.

I've had to edit EBR files on my old MTK phone, I just got another a couple of weeks ago. Old phone had phone 4GB phone memory, .99GB (internal storag) allocated for apps and the remaining was called phone storage. I was able to get 2.5GB to work on the 4GB phone. Funny thing, new phone is supposed to have 16GB phone memory, it also came with a very same space for apps, only .99 or .98 GB. I was able to experiment using your script, I was initially tried 12GB, everything seemed to sync up okay, but then after one day, services started to stop. I went back to 6GB and everything seems okay. One curious thing with my new phone, if I define 6GB or 12GB for the internal storage, the phone storage never changes. The phone is Cubot S308 with MTK6582 processor.

Any way to resize the system partiton? Also your tool shows my current storage is 1gb, which is false, its actually 2gb. Whats up with that?

I searched all over the internet for repartitioning my A210 and ended up in softbricking it...
I just thought I would end up being a noob....
With your EBR editor and a little knowledge about SP Flash Tools, I just achieved 7.37GB (created as 7.5GB using your editor and was 2.5GB before) of apps storage and 5.01GB of Internal Storage from my 16GB internal storage.
I already own a 32GB SD and so there is no space problem for me now.
I don't have any more words to thank you.

To resize ur system partition u need flash any rom whith SpFlash Tool, modding the sccater.txt file
is the same for recovery, boot, cache, data partitions etc
