Hi just wondering if apps can write to sd card without root on the note pro? Searched the forum and nothing came up but I use tapatalk so search is not always that great
Some apps can via a workaround, such as ES File Explorer and Quickpic. Others can't as they won't use the workaround.
Are there any specific apps or app types you're looking for?
You can use the My Files app, or connect the tablet to your PC and you'll have full access to internal and external storage.

Of which? ES and Quickpic? Both. ES is a file explorer, Quickpic is a gallery.

i would like to backup apps to a .APK file so i can put them on the computer .....TB (titanium backup) doesn't seem to put them in just a .apk so how can i do this?
id like to be able to use "adb install _______.apk" to put apps on a phone all at once without needing to buy TB as i don't have the money....
I just found an app that does that this morning. It's called apkExtractor by Kim Heeseok. I'd post a link, but you need 8 total posts before you can do that.

*sigh* can you put the link in a PM? or just put spaces between the parts so it doesn't register as a link, i can put it back together when i get it.
Here (delete brackets around https and .com):
[h][t][t][p]://play.google[.com]/store/apps/details?id=net.sylark.apkextractor
Edit: Just as a note, inside of the app, a long press of the app you want to export will give you the option to export it as an apk. It will be exported to "/sdcard/AppManager/yourappname.apk".

Titanium Backup
you can download it
Titanium Backup DOES back up apks, they just have them compressed...IIRC, you'll see the appname.apk.gz
You could also use something like ES File Explorer, which has a backup function. Other apps have similar capabilities.

I use the computer side of the 'wan dou jia' export! It is one of China's software.
i was also looking for the same.So i won't need to download the apps everytime after flashing or any other reason.
thanks mate
I gave up and use titanium backup pro

You can use Root Explorer or ES File Explorer from market. Root is the better one. If your talking apps try app2sd from market though I havent heard of anyone wanting to move apps to phone to kill phone memory except for widgets. But depends on what files your trying to move. Be careful on what your moving and to where.
Lots of reading and searching (Google & XDA) save the heachaches.

You can do as Reinaldo told you. Other way, if you want to put apps from the sdcard to the phone, you can just use the applications>manage applications menu...
Awesome, thanks guys, root manager works like a charm.

go to root explorer menu and under root options use the root permissions to read / write. Be careful with that stuff.

Hi, i'm just wondering how do I move file such as movie file into SD card? I recently rooted my tablet and using cm9 rom. With the stock rom i used the my file(file manager) app, it came with the tablet.
Also anyone knows how to delete core apps? I dont need everything though, just few. My internal memory is only 8gb.
Thanks in advance.

To move files to sd, you need to install a file manager downloaded from google play as astro file manager l, es file manager, antek file manager, root explorer , root browser lite (search google play) use any of them as alternative to ny files app in stock rom
To remove system apps use file explorer as root explorer or root browser lite to remove the apk of unwanted apps from system/data ( please make nandroid backup first !!!) or use app like system cleanup (make a nandroid first)

yes to move files you need a file manager(go for bluetooth file transfer, astro, androzip or root explorer or any other)
and to delete stock bloatware use link2se or rom toolbox or titanium backup and many other option are available...
Thanks, i will be trying several apps and see what works with me. I'll keep you guys posted.

Hello!
As the title says, could someone please share with me the stock file explorer, I think it was called "My Files".
Lost it while debloating
Thanks in advance, greetings from Mexico!
Why not just go to MyFiles (com.sec.android.app.myfiles) and uncheck it to enable it? Assuming you were using Package Disabler Pro.

Hi!
Actually it's not disabled, I unistalled it (with Link2SD), that's why I'm asking for the apk.[emoji14]

You don't want it . Get es file explorer pro. and install the holo theme pro. there is a free version but it has added bloat over the years. you can also extract the app from the stock firmware file on one of the other treads here.

Thanks, actually I don't really want it, but seems like software needs it, I'm having some error messages as I haven't found a way to set a third party explorer as default one.
Been using Root explorer for a couple years (as I don't like very much ES, thoug it seems to be a must have app for now) but unfortunatelt we don't have full features of it.
Will try to extract it from the firmware as you suggested.

Actually I only use it as an uninstaller, it's the one with the besr results for me.
I've had several problems with partitions since Lollipop, I mean from data loss to an entire SD card unreadable (had to get a new one), so I don't partition my SD anymore, to avoid any kind of similar issues.
But, as far as I know, the best format for SD cards is ext4. (But sure yoy don't want to lose your data formatting again).
