Am I Able to use the DS3/DS4 on the Shield Portable? If yes, some questions:
*Am I Able to use as a Bluetooth controller instead of a USB controller?
*Am I Able to use it to emulate the MOGA Controller? It is cheaper and easier to buy a DS3/4 controller than a MOGA or Shield controller in Brazil.
Thank you.

Has anyone confirmed that a wired xbox 360 controller 100% works on the TF700? Also, I found that Gamestop makes a bluetooth gamepad. Does this gamepad work with the TF700 and has anyone had any hands on experience with it?
Thanks,
Kris
My 3rd party 360 wired controller works great. The only issue is that the player number ring flashes the whole time its plugged in.
Thanks for the reply. I noticed in your signature that you are rooted. Do you know if the wired controller will still work with non-rooted devices?

I have had stellar results with a PS3 controller and the Sixaxis Controller app from the Play store. I don't even own a PS3 and I've ordered another controller to get some sweet multiplayer action going.

Emulators probably, I went the same route. Have iControlpad, Phonejoy, wired XBox, nothing beats the lightweight and responsiveness on the PS3 controller.
Have the ps3 controller paired now, works with the sega and snes emulators no problem, was playing Streets of Rage 3 last night. My usb adapter arrives tomorrow and ill see how my wired 360 controller works.

Yep, emulators. Also got touch emulation going for FF3, and after spending a few minutes configuring, it works great for navigating around towns and the overworld. Don't think there's any way to get menu navigation working with the pad though.

I know on the Nexus 7 Sony PS3 SixAxis bluetooth/USB is supported out of the box with USB connection and seems to be the universally supported controller. I don't have the cabling to try but the Sony controller works fine for me over bluetooth with SixAxis app (requires root) on GN 10.1.
Wii also works
You can also use the Wii with the classic controller attached.
I'm using it and works great.
You need to use Wiimote controller app for some to work.
I think most people have a Wii... Try it.
Ill try it out with other controller then. I find it weird because on the tf700 I used to have it worked great maybe because of the powered USB on the dock?
I got my OTG USB cable and mice etc. seem to work fine. Tried the wired xbox controller and while it is detected via the BT joystick test app, it wont work in any apps.
Tried another generic USB gamepad today and nothing, not even recognised in the test app.
So has anyone managed to get a gamepad working natively? The main reason I ask if that my mum likes to play the odd old arcade game (cool huh) and she would need gamepad support and wont bother if she has to pay out and configure another it all via another app!
thanks
guess not
I have gotten a wireless sixaxis controller to work via bluetooth, but my wired xbox controller will not work.

Use a ps3 controller. No wires = boss. And you can even use it for touch screen only games.

yeah if I could get one cheap then it would be great, my mum wont be up for spending a fortune
I have the same problem here. In my case I have generic USB controller and totally the tab and BT joystick test app cannot detect it. Did you manage to make it work?
For those who were able to get the game controller to work on tablet, which ROMS have the sixaxis program installed?

Xbox isn't Bluetooth so I doubt it would work. I think some kind of adapter would be required, but uncertain if there's one that works with android.

This is a useful article on getting your wireless Xbox controller to work with your tablet. You will need a wireless receiver, which can be bought for around £7. I wasn't able to get it working exactly, or was missing a file, so I downloaded the USBJoyService app. It detected my controller and and had to map the buttons in MD.emu (MegaDrive emulator).
I didn't find it 100% responsive. It felt laggy. I would prefer to either go for a wired Xbox controller, or get a PS3 controller, as it has bluetooth (though are expensive).
I went to best buy the other night to pick up my otg cable hooked up my ps3 controller to my lg he set the controls for gta3 anniversary and dead trigger 2. I have to say I love it being able to pay your games on your phone is amazing.
You need to try shadowgun:deadzone if you like multiplayer
Will do thanks for the tip
