Has anyone confirmed that a wired xbox 360 controller 100% works on the TF700? Also, I found that Gamestop makes a bluetooth gamepad. Does this gamepad work with the TF700 and has anyone had any hands on experience with it?
Thanks,
Kris
My 3rd party 360 wired controller works great. The only issue is that the player number ring flashes the whole time its plugged in.
Thanks for the reply. I noticed in your signature that you are rooted. Do you know if the wired controller will still work with non-rooted devices?
Kris
I have had stellar results with a PS3 controller and the Sixaxis Controller app from the Play store. I don't even own a PS3 and I've ordered another controller to get some sweet multiplayer action going.

Emulators probably, I went the same route. Have iControlpad, Phonejoy, wired XBox, nothing beats the lightweight and responsiveness on the PS3 controller.
Have the ps3 controller paired now, works with the sega and snes emulators no problem, was playing Streets of Rage 3 last night. My usb adapter arrives tomorrow and ill see how my wired 360 controller works.

Yep, emulators. Also got touch emulation going for FF3, and after spending a few minutes configuring, it works great for navigating around towns and the overworld. Don't think there's any way to get menu navigation working with the pad though.

Did you make sure to power on the controller with the PS3 button in the middle?
I had to try a few time to get it to work because it kept turning on the PS3.
Sure did. Works great but I think we can buy any El cheapo controller now. I wonder how the analog sticks work n64 emu or ps2 emu.

my generic PS3 style controller does not work on the transformer, I get a green power light, but it doesn't work in any app or game.
official PS3 controllers are still £36 for a second hand one in Game or Gamestation, so I havent got one yet to try.
Hi,
This problem has been raised before on other threads, but I haven't been able to find a solution. Basically when I use my wireless xbox controller (wireless xbox usb dongle), the game camera will just spin. The only game I have that works is Riptide, the game I want to use it for is GTA 3. I know that nvidia states that the xbox wireless controller isn't supported, so this is a more of a "how do I get this to work thread".

I have used my wireless xbox controller in Dead Trigger and it worked out of the box. The only settings I had to changed were the buttons.
I think, rather than a driver or whatever complicated, you should check for in-game settings or small apps.

Maybe the IME needed to make it work isn't quite up to snuff. I noticed my Wiimote freaks out when using Bluez IME, but not under Wiimote controller. I'm going to clear the data and see if that helps. When I get my dock, I'll take a look at using my 360 controller through the dongle.

Yea I've tried that, it doesn't work. The game seems to think one of the buttons is constantly being pressed. When I try to remap a control it will always map it to the same button. But I half fixed this, I found my PS3 controller and I'm using that sixaxis app. I prefer the xbox controller but the PS3 controller is bluetooth, so no cords.

Xbox isn't Bluetooth so I doubt it would work. I think some kind of adapter would be required, but uncertain if there's one that works with android.

This is a useful article on getting your wireless Xbox controller to work with your tablet. You will need a wireless receiver, which can be bought for around £7. I wasn't able to get it working exactly, or was missing a file, so I downloaded the USBJoyService app. It detected my controller and and had to map the buttons in MD.emu (MegaDrive emulator).
I didn't find it 100% responsive. It felt laggy. I would prefer to either go for a wired Xbox controller, or get a PS3 controller, as it has bluetooth (though are expensive).
Hi all, i have seen simple video's on youtube showing how to connect both ps3 and xbox360 pads to tf300.
the ps3 looked the easiest as it was basically a question of just plugging in.
I also purchased an xbox360 pcUSB dongle to connect to tf300.
pS3 would not register at all, there was no change when i plugged in at all so moved onto xbox360.
a little more luck with this as some basic functions work on the odd game.
however i really wanted to get it working with dead trigger. when i try the camera angle just spins around as if i was keeping the left pad pushed.
Even when configing the pad set up in the game i got same result.
how can i get a joypad to work with the games that say they support controllers
my tf300 is not rooted but would do it if it would fix problem
i am running android 4.1.1
is anyone else able to get a fully functional joypad working with the likes of dead trigger and shadowgun?
any help greatly appreciated
I had the same problem with dead trigger (or it may have been another madfinger game) when i tried to use a wireless xbox controller. Not sure on why it happens.

So did you manage to get any controller working with dead trigger
Not really, i only tried an xbox controller

I can confirm that original n64 controller with usb adapter works great.
Kinda weird but thought I would try again with controllers before rooting and to my amazement, both the xbox360 wireless and ps3 worked.
Tried on shadowgun and dead trigger. I was able to map both and play.
However both games play for a short while then constantly crash. Think they crash more with the Xbox pad than ps3. Pity as plugged into 46" TV and had great fun for 10 mins
I bought a PS3 control TTX Tech brand, but I could not configure it, my computer does not detect it, my question is whether it is possible to use it with my INFINITY or can only used with the PS3

How does it connect? Special PS3 wireless thing, or bluetooth?

Alright, from the attached picture it seems like this controller uses RF to transmit to that dongle, so using the bluetooth method of connection isn't an option. Really I can't think of a direct way to do this. Perhaps if you have a port adapter for your tablet to make it into a standard USB 2.0 there could be a way to make it work, but without the exact details of your tablet and more info on the controller, that can't even be attempted.

Yes. The PS3 uses Bluetooth to connect controllers. That one uses RF which the PS3 doesn't have built in.

I believe the Sixasis app in the Play Store states that a lot of knock off controllers wrong work. If you don't hand an official PS3 controller, it's all worth the $60 to buy one!! I use my PS3 controllers with my phones and tablets. I've got one controller that I use solely with my Note 2, as I have a GameKlip mounted on the controller. Another controller I use with my Infinity and '13 N7 FHD. I use the Sixasis pairing tool program that I have installed on my laptop to switch between my Infinity and N7 FHD. Occasionally I'll use my OTG dock that I bought for my Note 2 to switch the controller to my N7 FHD. Even better when using the HDMI port on the Infinity and hooking it up to my 55" Sony LED TV! Dead Trigger is probably my favorite, but I've also bought all of the GTA games on the Play Store, and they're all great as well!! Android gaming is sooooo much better with a PS3 controller!!! Especially when hooked to my TV! Friends will walk in and think I'm playing on my PS3 or XBOX 360, and are always shocked when I first tell them that I'm playing through my tablet
I highly recommend buying a HDMI to micro HDMI cable, as well as an official controller!! I'm sure Asus will continue to put a micro HDMI cable in their future tablets, so the cable a good investment! The Asus Infinity successor definitely has the micro HDMI port on it.
Off topic, but I can't wait for the New Infinity! It's gonna be a beast with the Tegra 4 and all of its other specs!!!

PS3 controller
You dont need an special app! Play an game with the PS3 controller via USB and enable the Bluetooth. After 10 minutes you can find the controller in Bluetooth settings. Connect the controller via Bluetooth and now you can play without USB kable.
Sorry for my english
Were can you find the cheapest controller that works online do any off brands work or does it have to be a Sony one?

In the six-axis app description I believe it says using any controller other than the original Sony controller will not work and the control mapping will start messing up and won't work correctly so yes you do need the original controller. You could also try using MOGA controllers if that's what you prefer but I don't think it works with the six-axis app
